    I just moved to Tokyo, and used it as fish grill yesterday for the first time (just kind of winged it - it turned out fine!) and I wondered if people use it for other things - did a google and voila! great video!

      Good luck!! It may be a bit tricky at first, but keep an eye on it and you’ll get there! I do like the frying pan method though too, I did that for 9 years. 😆

      @@HomeCookedAbroad buy a toaster....

    • @Jasper.B
      @Jasper.B ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been using it to make toast for 6 years without water or preheating, for whole grain I do 2 minute timer the first side, then flip and 1 minute timer the second side. For white bread it's more like 1minute-ish first side then 50 seconds next side.
      I love the video but it's blowing my mind that he said you need water and preheating just to toast a slice of bread. Like, does anyone preheat their toaster before putting toast in? I'm curious if the benefit is worth the extra 5 minutes of gas so if anyone knows please let me know!

      Google is not being helpful here in Mexico. I can look at as many images as I want but if i try to BUY it leads me to traditional open ended grills.
      If it was in japan may Please get a make and Model so I can look that up?

      @HomeCookedAbroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes! It could absolutely work for reheating pizza. I would wrap a slice completely in foil first. Once it is mostly heated through, open the top part to let the cheese crisp up nicely again! 🍕

      Hi! Thanks for watching! It was built-in, but I checked and the maker is called “Cleanup”, the model is ZGFNK6R18QSE. In Japan, it seems they can be ordered on Rakuten. I’m not sure the availability outside of Japan, but it may be work searching by the model number. Good luck!

      Hi! Thanks for the comment!! I don’t think there’s a way to change it per se, it’s just a matter of how hot the flame is (blue is hotter than orange/yellow). As long as the food is cooking I would say there’s nothing wrong!

      Yes, I’ve heard of some deserts being cooked in it. It’s something I have to experiment with (for the next video), but I would say it would be important to keep the heat low as to not burn the top too quickly.

      I would recommend searching online, I’m not sure but Rakuten US may have something similar. Rinnai is a popular brand for Japanese stoves. One thing to consider though is that the grill part would be connected with the burners as one tabletop unit.
