This song represents everything I love about Nightwish. The music's catchy and has a lot of layers to it. Floor's voice is amazing, as are Marco's backing vocals. The song can be heavy while also being energetic and optimistic (and combines heaviness with beautiful backing music/choir). The lyrics are really good. The band has this infectious energy that makes me smile whenever I watch them perform.
Amen to that.
Also, an amazing musical bridge, just love it.

As for the albums you have left, I think you’ve covered most of Endless Forms just by watching the Tampere show. Just missing Edema Ruh I think. Then maybe work your way back through their catalogue because honestly, it’s all fantastic, Floor is just Goddess tier.

you actually got lucky picking the video over the live performance. here we get to see the wonder of Floor dancing! Floor goes off stage for the instrumental section when they play this live. Elan, Shudder Before The Beautiful, My Walden, Weak Fantasy, Yours Is An Empty Hope, and, The Greatest Show On Earth were all from Endless Forms Most Beautiful. So, you haven't missed out, you just didn't know which album the songs were from. only thing missing is "Alpenglow". you get some adorableness from Floor during the Wembley version. Great job. Marco and Floor are such natural performers, you can put them in any situation, and they'll instantly stand out.

Thanks you for yet another wonderful reaction and for using my earlier comment in the intro! Yes, this has been a favorite of mine from the time the album was released. It's fun to walk through the natural history museums in Utah with all the fossiles of dinosaurs and mud flats and "follow the aeon path" through all the references from this song ;-) Being out on the road for weeks at a time can bring on a bit of gloom and this is one of the tools I use during those times. It's a splendid song especially for dawn and dusk in the mostly unpopulated (by humans) expanses between cities in the western USA and a reminder that there really is so much to appreciate everywhere around us! If you want to see my very favorite performance for when the sun drops below the horizon and the daylight slips to night, pull up the live performance of Sleeping Sun with Floor from their concert in Tampere, Finland. I think Floor might just leave you speechless once more :-) Thanks again and please keep rockin'!!!

Just in case you didnt know, Kai Hahto(drums) was supposed to be a sessional drummer for Nightwish during Jukka Nevalainen's time away from the band, while he was managing his mental health, but Kai was promoted to official drummer, because Jukka felt it would be dangerous for him to continue working full time. Though he did say he would be helping out behind the scenes.

We all know how much you love Floor. And you seemed to like Tarja's sound also. Have you heard the duet those two goddesses of song did together? Tarja Turunen & Floor Jansen Over the Hills and Far Away. Old and New Nightwish sound together. Over the Hills and Far Away was the first old Nightwish song I ever heard when I was introduced to the band in the early 2000s. Love your channel and all you do!

This song is soooo good. I got a tab book for this album for Xmas a couple years ago, and this song is by far one of my favorites to play, especially that middle "breakdown" riff. I also appreciate the interplay between everyone in the video so much more now!

So, I think its time for Van Canto. An a capella metal band. Only have drums, everything else is voice work, including the guitar solos.
They do use guitar occasionally.

That's the ones I saw on your video list. I may have missed one but I don't think I did. So you really aren't as behind as you though. I loved this one live at Tampere. X Japan!!! They are an 80s rock/metal band from Japan with a MASSIVE following outside of the States.
Please try Art of Life (live in 1993). Its a 30min song so I understand if you dont, but you're missing out. It's an absolute masterpiece!
Other, shorter, songs to try are Kurenai, Jade, X, or Silent Jealosy.
Trust me, these guys are masters and the drummer is a BEAST. Even Gene Simmons from Kiss said that if they spoke English natively, they would be the biggest band in the world.

Fun fact, you did cover several live performances of songs from this album already. But if you want to make some comparisons, revisit Nightwish - Élan, but go for the official video. Reason - it was a first single from the album just like Noise. Noise is less melodic, it is faster and heavier, which is why it is setting the expectation that Human Nature will be an all around return to the faster and heavier Nightwish.
And once again, we shudder before the beautiful.
This is probably one of their most overlooked epic songs. Thanks for doing a reaction on it! I always enjoy your energy and enthusiasm in your reactions. Yeah, I usually end up headbanging with you, LOL! Just a suggestion here - what would be a really great addition would be if you could go into the lyrical content of their songs a bit and recognize that as well, as it is just as powerful as their music. To react just to the music seems, well, like a piece is missing, IMHO.

"Beauty OF the Beast" (not to be confused with Beauty AND the Beast). An epic masterpiece that is often overlooked and rarely gets reacted to because there is no live version with Floor. But I think it has become my favorite NW song, period. There is the studio version, or a handful of lesser quality live versions from 2002/2003. I'd recommend Amsterdam if you do the live.
If Marko is your man - he's got a solo album out in Finnish and English. And possibly imo one of the greatest performances ever of "Kiss while your lips are still red" from the Wembley UK gig.

I think you have done some of the songs but not all of them for sure! Tampere and Wembley concerts were for this album tour. There are a few though that you will have to do from the album not live as they don't perform them live. Sagan - not even on the album, Our Decades in the Sun - which was also sung to Floor in dutch on Beste Zengers, and Edema Ruh.

Just remember that while you have a lot of Nightwish to catch up on, you also have a lot of Band Maid to catch up on as well. But while you work your way through those, I must ask one question.... How have you not reacted to Kamelot yet? That needs to be remedied. I must introduce you to the greatness of Roy Khan. I highly recommend Forever, Center Of The Universe, Abandoned, When The Lights Are Down, The Haunting (duet with Simone Simons from Epica), & Elizabeth, all from their One Cold Winter's Night concert.
I feel like they had Emppu sitting down so he would not run around the set :D
