  • Hello 👋
In this tutorial, I will show you how to make easy wire wrapped clasps. I'll take you step by step through the process of how to make two types of simple clasps. This project is suitable for the absolute beginner.
These clasps are a perfect fit for my Egyptian Link bracelet, but you can modify and use these clasps for lots of your jewellery pieces.
Materials you will need for this project:
    1mm (18g) copper wire
    Chain nose pliers x 2
    Flush Cutters
6 step pliers (or round nose)
    Rule
This video is as a result of a question about clasps in a previous tutorial of mine, so I thank my lovely subscriber for giving me the opportunity to share these simple clasps with you
As always, it's lovely to have you here
    Sam x

Samantha, I want to thank you for always giving me the measurement of the wire. You are an excellent teacher in your craft and I do appreciate it very much. ❤ Have a great day and know that. If I lived near you, I’d give you a hug. But I live in Florida.

You don't need to apologise for saying ok, we all have words or phrases we repeat. You're brave enough to put videos on TH-cam and your content is watchable and done at a really helpful pace to learn from so thank you and yes more clasps please.

I started trying to make wire jewelry a little over a year ago and I love it most of the time but I have trouble with keeping things the same size for whatever reason, I can measure and cut everything the same size and use my 6 step and measure, measure, measure and still not have every piece the same but I just now got this bracelet done and I LOVE IT! Thank you so much for a beautiful tutorial ❤ Now on to the next step, the clasp. Lol.

It never occurred to me to orient the loop so the hook lays flat. I like that a lot so thanks for the technique!

Thank you, thank you. I love the clasps. Now my dilemma is deciding which one to use. 😊 I like your tutorials over every other one I've come across. You take the time to explain everything, and you make us feel like we are right there with you. I dont think you could ever make a video thats too long. You are the only one that I've found that keeps my interest to the very end. I hope you and the family are doing great.

I’d love to see a totally finished projects please? I’m new to your channel and watched older videos too. You mentioned your children were feeling poorly. Do you mind me asking what they are dealing with? You can just say it’s private and I will totally understand. 💝 I have many diseases that I’m dealing with so I understand when others deal with sicknesses. I appreciate you sharing your time and talent with us. This bracelet is beautiful and I love the clasps you made. Thanks again. 💝🥰

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, Susan ☺️ Two of my children are Neurodivergent and have Autism. One of them has recently been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and has been very very unwell. It’s been a very hard year ☹️

To help me through each day I pray for endurance and amazingly enough the end of the day is here and I made it through. I hope this helps you as well. Sincerely Susan 💝🥰🤗

I'm wondering how secure this clasp is? It seems like the bracelet would open easily, possibly getting lost?

    • @samanthalatimer1
      @samanthalatimer1  หลายเดือนก่อน

You can use other clasps of course ☺️ But I’ve found that if you gently squeeze the clasp, it’s pretty secure and I’ve never has an issue with mine
