- In this video, I introduce my baby pet bass and head to the gar pond to catch minnows for them. They have been eating out of my hand and flying out of the water to get the minnows.

Ahhh too cute! I rescued a fish a while back in a drying ditch and there were no ponds around! Im amazed at how she got their.
She would watch the television in my room as i played games on my Xbox and make noise when she wanted attention. We'd play with my necklace and she'd follow it around the tank.
She lived a happy five years in my care and I still miss her. She was a green sunfish. Love you, Princess❤

I love my Largemouth Bass, raised it from a little hatchling larvae all the way to the monster it is today. Foods what it really cares about, but I know it enjoys my antics as well. Magic tricks with a lighter and flint, chasing lasers like a cat, pushing golf balls around. They're way more intelligent than they get credit for. Even when it's not hungry It wants me to pay attention to it. Sometimes I'll look up and make eye contact, and see this fierce look in it's eyes demanding I come over and entertain it. There's a very obvious excitement it displays when I make the facial expression of "Oh alright I'm coming I'm coming." Little flutters of the fins and a prance like energy to it's strafes. Very good at communicating with their body language if you spoil them with attention and affection. That fish has both beat the crap out of me, and super gently held my finger in it's jaw like a mother cichlid mouth brooding. Such a strange creature. I thought it was a boy when it was younger, because of how Macho they act lol But I've realized now the males are the chill ones, and mine is a grunpy ol girl. The periodic bedding behavior is what gives it away. Every once in awhile it's just absolutely hyper territorial and doesn't even want to look at me or eat. If I put my hand or anything else in the tank during those times it'll go just crazy attack mode. Wait a couple weeks though and it's like we're best pals again and it never happened. Love that moody ol beast. It's 8 years old but energetic and healthy as ever.

Yes, more slow mo bass videos
Take it from someone who started keeping large mouth and other bass a few years ago - they’re like puppies, going to be the easiest thing to train. Especially large mouth, in comparison to warmouth bass and peacock bass, seem the most friendly and eager to be in your presence. I had mine jumping like the ones in your video within the first week and they were inch long babies. Honestly one of the most rewarding animals I’ve ever kept.

I went back for the last time in July. My parents owned the property and they sold it this summer. Edgar was there when I went back.

It sucks that the pond is still drying up. I hope the Gar will be alright, and that it won't get any worse.
They should be OK unless the pond completely dries up. Their swim bladders act as primitive lungs, so they can even directly breathe air if they need to.
They are so cute ☺️ new little baby 🐟 bass, good to learn and training for the bass keep praying for rain and make sure the moisture full come till Thanksgiving 🍗 and Christmas 🎄 😊👍🏻
