When I got my belly button pierced many years ago, the piercer lied to me and said he was going to pierce on the count of three and instead told me to take a breath and did it on one. I survived but it definitely shocked the hell out of me. Maybe one day I’ll get it redone 🤷🏻♀️
Im sorry that you were scared and so put off piercings with this experience! If it helps any, I doubt it was done just for any nasty or sadistic reasons, it's normally so that you don't panic and tense beforehand which can mess up alignment, esp on naval. I pinky promise that a good piercist would listen to your concerns tho and be willing to talk you through things and find a way to work well with you 💕

I ended up being allergic to the metal and it didn't heal for 4 years it kept getting infection after infection. The place I went to ended up being shut down. @@allegraanegra455 Actually it's worse to take it out...you end up trapping the infection in the skin when it heals over. At least with the piercing hole it's able to escape. What she really needed to do was get antibiotics and go to a professional and have it examined and change out the jewelry.
Same thing happened to me. My body rejected it because of this allergy to the metal I didn’t know I had until years after the fact. Had to take it out before it tore all the way through my skin at the time though. I have pretty terrible scarring from it but I’m glad it ended up healing none the less. You aren’t the only one! :)

Any medical professional would advise u to remove the piercing and it wouldn't close when it is infected the infection is eating the skin and tissue around it. the piercing is in no way allowing it to drain, it's the complete opposite actually. And u never put a new jewelry in a infection there's not purpose as so as the jewelry comes in contact with the infected area it would be contaminated.
When I had mine pierced it bled so badly I actually started to panic, it took forever to heal so in the end I took it out because the discomfort and bleeding went on for days, its put me off of having piercings anywhere now but this lady knows her craft for sure 🥰 xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I was Pierced at 16(im 30 now), my friend did it, twice because the 1st time the position was off, or that's what we thought until we realized it was my belly button the one that was uneven 😂 but I don't have a bad scar and it's perfectly healthy

Wow ! I used all techniques, this one is most comfortable I am using from last 10 years. It really take very less time to pierced along with less sensation of pain & as well as it It help to heal fast too. I pierced my own belly piercing (and every single piercing I have) and surprisingly it's healing so well. As a 15 year old who is very irresponsible of other things, the only thing I actually am responsible of is my piercings 😭 cuz I'm so paranoid of any of them getting infected
@@veemeg2172 hydrogen peroxide or alcohol would be fine. If you don't have a high pain tolerance just use hydrogen peroxide since it doesn't sting that much. Also after you pierce it it takes a while to heal up so whenever your taking a shower you can't get it wet and you can't take the piercing out or it'll get infected. what I do I get a small plastic bag and put it on top of my piercing and seal the sides with tape.

That sounds like your body is just rejecting it, sometimes you can try to use titanium jewelry and it’ll fix it but sometimes some people’s body will just reject it no matter what metal is used.
There’s a few things wrong here: 1. There is no need to use sterile gloves. And if you’re going to use them, then at least put them on correctly. In medical school they teach how to correctly pit them on and it’s kind of difficult.The client’s body is not sterile, the packets in which the jewellery is sterilised is also not sterile from the outside, and so is the marker. 2. You can pierce through scar tissue, it actually heals faster because it’s already there. And also piercing around the scar tissue is bot the best idea, because there is more pressure when the barbell is under existing scar tissue, which is a lot thicker than normal skin. That can cause rejection. 3. Why not use clamps? It makes the process way more faster and less painful for the client. P.s. I’m a piercer and also a registered nurse.
Really does prove that everyone is different. I only felt my nose piercing a little bit and had the instinctive eye watering from a pinch but that was it. Same with my tattoo on my forearm I didn't feel it very much, I was expecting it to hurt a lot more
I had my nose done once and it was my easiest piercing but I had to take it out. When I got it redone, it hurt a little more but it was in the same spot and I got two at once. My toughest piercing was the nipples followed by the tragus. It is crazy how it’s so different from person to person.
When I got my right nostril pierced, it hurt like hell. To this date, it was the most painful piercing I've ever gotten, even more painful than my 5th holes on the lower helix region of both ears.
First time I did it myself but couldn't get the ring in so it closed. Second time was professionally done but had to take it out, third time it rejected. Fourth time was the charm, even with all that scar tissue.

The title should be "Why you need to get any piercing done by a professional". Less risk of infection, more knowledge, better jewelry, sharp needles used instead of blunt piercing guns. Also...everything is autoclaved and sterilized, which cannot be done on piercing guns. I got my daughter's ears pierced by professionals and they were absolutely amazing. 3 years on and they still look great.

As someone who has only ever done my own piercings and all my tattoos are done by non professionals, definitely DON'T pierce your own bellybutton! Mine is a nightmare and gets blood blister bubbles ALL THE TIME and it's so painful

I got my belly button piercing done in my house by my younger sister like 10 years ago and had no issue. I also pierced my own nose and ears(9 piercings)
