After that we started jumping off of that garage seeing how far we could jump. We wanted to jump to the alley way which was at most 12 feet. We kept landing on the concrete but what we learned from every jump. Eventually we made it, I tried to tell my parents after I told them what I accomplished but they didn't believe me. So I showed them one day on a walk to the nearby convenience store, needless to say my parents weren't too thrilled to see their 8 year old jump off a neighbor's garage at full sprint lol
Trust me your parents may have saved your future. I'm not gonna get too into it but my dad and his friend did the exact same thing and it was an unstable garage. Needless to say the roof fell on him leaving him with a severe injury which he recovered from, however this left him with a squint and his friend felt guilty he couldn't have helped him leading to him no longer hanging out with my dad because of this. Eventually my dad lost the squint and still had many friends but you for sure are blessed that the same didn't happen to you my friend 🙂 also sorry for the trauma dumping I just feel like it was good for at least someone to know that their parents had a reason, good to hear they let u BD happy and weren't to protective tho 👍
