The Jaw guy was only able to do so, because he's sitting mainly in the upper chest and barely extending to the chin, so the heart is part of the parasite itself and that's why he could move it.
Parasites that successfully took over the head and brain do not extend down far enough into the chest to be able to do the same.
I wonder why they didn't bring any flamethrowers like Migi adviced.
I mean sure, using a flamethrower is a risk inside a regular building, since you can probably set it on fire easily, but I'd still bring one as a fall-back if regular bullets fail... like it did here.
Or at least bring armour-piercing ammo or something more than their regular rounds.
Depends on what material the walls are made of.... If it's a standard government building _probably_ not the best idea, but they still could have brought a homemade small scale one, like what farmers use. Propane tank, ignition nozzle, hose.
Those crappy plain white "spackled walls" ignite _quick!_
Also while it was never brought up I think they could have used noisemaker grenades to disorient the parasites since their morphing properties seem similar to symbiotes
Bigger bullets probably would simply go through Gatou instead of stop in his body, remember nobody knows where his heart is for another episode. Everyone packing shotguns would have been a better idea. Especially loaded with incendiaries, start the fire *_INSIDE_* of him! 😁🧨
About the heart thing, the reason Joe is able to do it because he has control of the part of the heart so he can change his heart's location. It's not that the other parasites can't do it because they are not smart enough, it's because they just can't.
