Booster is objectively the strongest character in the entire Mario franchise. Every turn, he can one-shot your entire party. No other character is on that level.
And the Booster theme of the SNES is a banger
No Way!
I mean he does drive a got dang train into you
0:12
What about the cake?
Culex: "I am the strongest boss in the entire game!"
Booster: *"Hold my nuke"*
Booster has infinite nukes lol culex at least 2d got gassed, all running out of flower pointa with no regular attack, so I won with lazy shell to no sell damage, and peach's nurture ring to halve elemental damage. Psych bomb helps a ton like geno blast if you don't need to heal.
I love how Culex is implying that he won't try to conquer the Mushroom World unless the heroes go to him for a fight and lose, and is content to stay in his own realm in the meantime.
It just shows how confident he is in himself and also how dangerous he could be if he was allowed to roam freely.
I honestly want him to become a main villain in a sequel or just another game in general, he looks like he could be as threatening as the likes of Antasma, Dark Bowser and the Dark Star and maybe even Dimentio if he secretly has an even more powerful form under his sleeves.
@@thechoirtar6077he's gonna have third 4D form when Nintendo eventually releases a re-remake of Super Mario RPG
@@lichylickyrick8864 I think he deserves to be the main villain of his own game. But that would be an awesome plot twist where the heroes think he's been defeated for good until the entire 3D dimension is turned into a black void as Culex reveals his trump card; the 4D Form, which transcends the 3D dimension and bends it to his will.
Then against all odds when he is defeated, he dies and the crystals that were misused by his malice and wrath undo the mass damages he brought upon the 3D dimension and restores everything back to its original state, before returning to their personal realm that Culex had originally taken dominion over as seen in SMRPG.
@@thechoirtar6077And the best waifu best version of peach my queen the shadow queen.
@@voltron77 Oh god I'm being replied to by a super simp. No offence.
Not only does Culex have a 3D makeover, he can break the 4th wall
Culex finally gets his 3D form
19:03 i like that the explosions are in time to the music
Good to see Culex back and having Final Fantasy IV music fight
Pretty cool how none of the bosses you refight are members of Smithy's army. You truly got rid of their threat for good.
48:46
Culex with 9999 Hp
"H O L Y
J E S U S"
nah I give up this time fr
I Just Wish Smithy Had A Post Game Final Boss Fight.
That's a MASSIVELY missed opportunity right there. I think that's why people would rather fight Smithy in the ROM hack known as Super Mario RPG: Armageddon.
@@Loner098i didnt know that the entire thing,i just saw fighting against Rosalina in the hack rom
Well technically, after you beat smithy again (and for real) the credits are slightly different.
Now everyone shall know the Magnificence of Booster!
Tip on how I made the booster fight much easier. I put the feather equip on Geno and used his Geno whirl to one shot the shy guys, since it does 9999 damage with a timed attack. And feather made Geno much faster. Had Mario and peach attack Booster for him to lose concentration. I took out the shy guys one by one. Which made Booster an open target. Just hope you get the timed hit lol
The Genius Whirl trick still works in the remake?
@@prof.laytonfan764 yessir. And it still works on exor too
But even with those 3 dead the train attack STILL DOES 9999 damage and even with the Feather he may ATTEMPT the Train attack at the START of the battle before you can hit him OUT of it.
@@veghesther3204 if you take out one, then hit booster to lose concentration. The other one will boost booster. But since you’re speed will be higher then you’d go before he can train attack. When they’re dead then he doesn’t attack cause he will say he little saying and won’t have any boost. I literally just did this to beat him. Only boss I have now is culex
They arent shy guys
Ironically the boss I spent the most time on in the post-game aside from Culex was Punchinello, because it took me a while to realize that I could turn his Bob-ombs against him with normal attacks. I noticed some facing towards him but thought it was just a pity mechanic to make the fight easier because I hit Punchinello with everything I had and nothing was hurting him. I used Thought Peek first to scope the enemies for their weaknesses which is one of the reasons I didn't realize I needed to hit the Bob-ombs even when I found it strange that they had 999 health, I kept using fireballs and thunder to take out the ones facing my party, the other reason being that to turn them around they had to be hit with perfect action commands so anything less wouldn't work. Of course after I realized the mechanic of the fight it was straightforward from there since I just needed to turn around as many bombs as I could.
The Bundt cake and Tortes battle is easier and a lot less stressful if you put the Tortes to sleep, they are exhausted from their overnight baking. I only used 1 Red essence during the Booster battle but on Peach so I can keep reviving my team, I started the battle with Bowser and Mallow(so I could Thought Peek them), and kept Geno and Peach on the backburner(Booster didn't spam the nuke train on me like he did in the video though). The Belome battle was very straightforward, no weird mechanic to follow, dude just had a lot of health and his clones were giving him shields(even the ones that really don't make sense like Mario), just don't allow to him clone Peach or Geno.
Johnny was a fun, skilled based duel, I liked that it was a 1v1 that forced me to really time my perfect actions, no help from my friends and no items were allowed. Idk why but during my battle with Jinx Mario was immune to Jinx's Silver bullet even though I didn't equip him with any accessories that specifically said they save the wearer from a KO move, Mario was wearing the Attack Scarf, I finished the battle with the Star Riders, that one is my favorite Triple move.
Dang bro that’s a lot of text, but I’m gonna say this before I read all that
Yeah he’s the hardest one I’ve done so far, and booster was the easiest
Bundt cake was easy but being insta killed by a cake is hilarious
@@Molo_da_boiwhat?
@@Molo_da_boiI guess you do spam Red Essence
Culex in 3D definitely reminds me of Kefka from final fantasy VI since he’s like an FF god. But he looks fantastic in 3D I was expecting sephiroth but 3D culex is fantastic
This is super devastating to rematch Culex! Now he’s so fantastic!
I fought all of these bosses and I decided to rank them based on how well made their fights are from worst to best:
7. *Booster:* This fight is so stupid. It relies on a cheap gimmick throughout the entire fight. To make things worse, the Snifsters can increase Booster’s speed so much that he can immediately attack after preparing to work. It was the only fight I hated.
6. *Jinx:* Much better than Booster, but I think this fight is too easy. All you have to do is fill up the gauge and do a triple move. What is interesting though is if you fail an action command, Jinx will wipe out whoever failed the move, so it does keep you on your toes.
5. *Bundt, Raspberry and the Tortes:* The candle mechanic is interesting, although I didn’t see what happens when they all light up. This fight encourages to do less support moves and more attack moves, so that changes things up nicely.
4. *Belome:* The clones that he summons protect him, and they are all different depending on who you have (I mostly had Mario, Mallow and Peach). He was also tough to take down, but it made me think about how to defeat him. I just kept using Shocker on him because he’s weak to electricity.
3. *Punchinello:* Because he can only be hurt by Bob-ombs, this is more of a support fight. There is also lots of skill involved, because you have to make sure you don’t get destroyed by the Bob-ombs and Punchinello’s devastating attacks. A good fight overall
2. *Johnathon Jones:* I really like this fight because it is based entirely on skill. The fact that it is a duel encourages different support combinations and also how well you can defend yourself. Items are also prohibited, which makes this a challenging and fair battle
1. *Culex 3D:* The best fight of the rematches. It took me a few tries to defeat Culex, but unlike Booster this one I knew what I was doing wrong and came up with a strategy: I had Mario, Mallow and Peach for healing, strong Magic attacks and more Magic defense overall. I also took advantage of all the elements at my disposal because of Mario and Mallow having elemental attacks, and used them to take down the crystals. I used Super Jump to destroy the green one first, then used Shocker to attack the yellow one, then Snowy to attack the red one, and then finally Super Fireball to get rid of the blue one. Throughout the entire fight I kept using Peach’s Psyche Bomb and healing, and Mallow’s Star Rain to attack everyone when Mario attacks the green and blue crystals. Whenever my FP gets low, I restore it completely with a Royal Syrup. Culex’s Meteor attack does all but 1 of everyone’s max HP every five turns, and when he’s alone he attacks twice with a new 9999 attack to one. This fight pushes skill, strategy and timing to the limit of this game. Great fight overall.
Wow. This did well with Culex.
Surprised I did most of these first try, only lost once to Punchinello and Johnny due to mistimed blocks. I like that they added gimmicks to them, and winning is more about figuring out what to do rather than being at a high level to survive longer. I only wish you could rematch them as much as you like, along with the one you can.
I'm curious; what equipment did you use for the characters during the Culex rematch? I get they all had their ultimate weapons sans Peach, but what about the armors and accessories?
Didn’t Peach had her ultimate weapon? I’m too lazy to check, but the Frying Pan is her ultimate weapon. I’m just happy this remake added those for Mallow, Geno, and Bowser as well
@@burra007 Might have missed her using the Frying Pan at some point. Could've sworn she was using the Super Slap when she was physically attacking in the video. Im just mainly interested in the other equipment used.
SANS PEACH??!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!
Don't know if it's intentional, but it's the same amount of rematches you'd get in the Mario & Luigi games
Oh my, they nerfed rock candy. You could use that to clown on OG Culex.
Cool love it… perhaps mallow lost host credentials as psychologist (the move was renamed) lol! But is cute how the clone mallow tell about the fear of going to the bathroom at night (after all is a kid)
Cluex reminds me of devil Kazuya
Culex is now officially a kingdom hearts bossfight in a Mario RPG game

I lovw that Punchinello is just a bowser fanboy
Had to do a double-take at 4:44 because Belome NEVER made a second clone while I was fighting him, he only ever made one at a time. And I was playing on normal difficulty too. He had plenty of chances because of how much I was put to sleep but never, ever did.
Booster be like, "Get Wreked"!!!
How is mario not taking so mich dmg he takes 1 alot during the culex fight
He has on the lazy shell

Im not pretty sure how I defeated Booster, despite attacking him everytime I could to make him lose focus, he threw me the train anyway
He never threw me the train one single time lmaoooo
I genuinely think it was a missed potential to have a Boomer rematch considering we dont know what happened to him and the rematch MAKES HIM BOOSTER LEVEL
I know that can't have every game I want, so even though I never played the original Super Mario RPG, I still don't mind about the remake. Maybe I'll play it one day in the far future, but I am just watching soilers to entertain myself. It is Super Mario Bros. Wonder that I am looking forward to playing blind.
You can always play the original on an emulator like on your computer to download if you have one.
Dog is cute 😂
44:07 Bowser thanked Mario for the mushroom 😱😵
So... What? It's an intended function of Super Mario RPG. Every character is coded to do that.
Bowser has anti-heroic roles, and during these anti-heroic roles, he is never willing to betray Mario and his friends, as he knew they were all fighting against an even bigger threat (examples: Smithy, Cackletta, Dark Star, Count Bleck, Dimentio, etc.)
Did you cheat to beat Johny??? How could receive only 1-2 damages from him?
I struggled so hard to beat him while he was damaging me around 50-130
There is an Item called the Heavy Shell, it is a Mario Weapon, but also an Armor for every party member. If you equip the armor it gives you a ridiculously high defense stat, but cuts down your speed stat as a drawback. Pairing it with the Ghost charm from the "Three Musty Fears" Sidequest and you can double the already high defense stat that the Heavy Shell gives.
I hope this helps
Tarzana's in this game?

I wonder why didnt use peach? Peach is easy mode?
How many times can bosses be fought?
3D Culex......as many times as you want. That's why he keeps track of the number of turns it takes you to defeat him.
The rest of the post-game Bosses.....once each

I hate Culex. Hate, hate, HATE him. Thank god he’s not necessary to beat the game, because even after years of playing the game, I’ve never been able to beat him.
He’s always had a killer boss theme, though.
He’s pretty easy as long as you have the right equipment. The game is built so that almost every player has the same stats when the fight him, so follow a guide and you will beat him with patience.
Most of his attacks can’t even be blocked so it is less about skill and more about following directions
@@bombkirbyTo be honest I felt like the fight was very easy as long as you get rid of those ANNOYING crystals quickly.
I defeated him when I was a child
Nintendo... there was no need for that booster bull shit
Johnny is the best
Dude don't skip the triple attacks on a TH-cam lol
Call me crazy, but Culex looks better in the remake.
Nice spoilers is the thumbnail.
