"the osprey, unfazed by the bite, takes this lizard fish for a nice aerial view of its prior home before disappearing to eat its hearty catch"- wonderful narration weaved seamlessly into a first class presentation of the osprey. Well done!
5:14 - I've never heard a narrator's story so vividly illustrated that I do not see a huge difference between the photos and a real film. Just a masterpiece of brilliant bird storytelling.
Absolutely stunning. And so-well narrated, I couldn't look away and watched it several times. Thank you for posting such painstaking work. Take good care, Rose
saw my first osprey at cape cod Massachusetts near the ocean. Didn’t get good pictures but it was better than nothing. I love birds, thanks for this video it was amazing... never knew how badass the osprey was!
The Osprey is my favorite bird. I was working in Burbank California. There was city for at least 15 miles in every direction. To my suprise, on top of a telephone pole was an Osprey. We were working next to the concrete lined Los Angeles River. A small stretch of river where we were has a natural gravel and rock bottom. This Osprey was living in the city fishing in the Los Angeles River. I've seen plenty of Osprey in Montana where I go every year to fish. This was the first and only one I've seen in Los Angeles. I love your picturs, thank you.
Slightly obsessed with Osprey? Are ya now? Well, Good for you! And... Good for us too! The time and energy that you spent, not to mention the money, in getting all of these highly prized photographs... And then sharing all of it with us is a testament of passion. Your passion for Osprey, coupled with your "unbridled determination," to piece together this magnificent compilation the way you did, along with the detailed narration is greatly admired, and gratefully appreciated. Thank you Mark Smith. 👍
WOW 😯❤! what an amazing work you`ve done! ...I met the Osprey this summer in Sanible Island for vacation. I was absolutely captivated by this amazing Bird, and had a chance to see him rise up form the ocean next to me in the water with a fish in his claws. I found very interesting that this bird could stay hours fix on the top of a tree and do nothing too. Would love to meet them again...I'm from Chile .
This is an amazing video with a ton of knowledge. I commented earlier about my favorite birds of prey, but this video may have changed that. I see them all the time in Massachusetts, I point them out to anyone who will listen, but they're just like oh it's another bird. If they only knew!
Amazing video and thank you for sharing. Photographed my share of ospreys many times and it is always an incredible experience to say the least. I am still yet to catch one grabbing the fish out of the water, but in all do time. Great video and information Mark.
I love to try capturing these birds in flight and fishing but I have never come close to the incredible photos that you showed here. Your narration is just great and keeps a person's total attention. Fantastic images and interesting narration! Thanks for sharing these awesome images!
WOW!!! The photographs are incredible, and the narration is just as riveting!! You absolutely have a new subscriber, and I can't wait to see more!! Absolutely stunning! 😮
So very cool! My grandson and I watched some ospreys fishing today on Chautauqua Lake in NY so I was looking for some TH-cam videos and yours popped up....we have really enjoyed the beautiful photographs that you captured! They are amazing birds! Thank you!
I live on a canal in Gulf Shores , Al. Recently an Osprey has been hanging around in the tall pines. I desperately hope to see him in action, so far no dice! Your photography and narration are awesome. Thanks for sharing your talents
Hey man, what an awesome collection of magnificent pictures. Having lived in very closed proximity to a pair of Ospreys, I also became very fond of those birds. Seeing them dive for a mullet just a few yards away is truly a spectacle. I'll tell you about another bird that really struck my attention, the belted kingfisher. Although not as majestic as the osprey, it's tenacity and cleverness is a sight to behold. Anyhow, thank you for such wonderful presentation.
I know these were taken over some time, but that is an amazing collection of images. But I think the most unique is the one with the bird and the lure. Unbelievable! Great commentary as always Mark.
Incredible skills first by Osprey, then the photographer who probably spent thousands of hours of unbridled patience, combined with unique talents to produce this : the sheer genius in nature. ❤
The Osprey is now reintroduced in Scotland after years of disappearing. Some were found in one or two lochs and is now breeding very well according to Scottish bird agency.
Good to hear. We in upstate New York are glad to report ospreys are common and Bald Eagles . I watched an osprey grab a pike this summer. It was too big to lift, so the bird paddled with its wings to shore, dragging the fish all the way.
Awesome pictures! Beautiful birds, great narration and great work! I like the last picture the most. Thank you for sharing your passion with us all. God bless you always!
That was awesome man. I watch osprey off the coast of Maryland all summer. They're m master assassins. I'm in Southwest FL currently and they are everywhere here! Always that distinguishable whistle chirp above somewhere.
Mark, MAGNIFICENT (in capital letters) photography. Great, great work, Congratulations. Videos themselves are extraordinary as well. Indeed the Osprey is a talented and very smart predator.
As an amateur photographer who has visited the Space Coast, great job on production of the Osprey Story and magnificent shots. I especially like your addition of settings with images for us who try to replicate your work. For anybody wondering if travel to Mark's Workshop, My answer is a definitive yes. Not only is he there to tutor and guide but the area is second to none for the birds and species. Thanks for your efforts in sharing Mark.
Amazing! - Each catch a unique accomplishment. I've seen an osprey screaming at his parents circling above. It was dusk, he looked down at the river, smack! He came up with a fish and circled around and around with everyone cheering! He was so proud of his first catch.
Two things captivate me when kayak fishing, Osprey hunting and Bald Eagle vocalization. I can watch an Osprey hunt for hours. They will fly over us only after catching a fish, almost like they are showing off their kill. They are amazing creatures.
Very informative. Fantabulous photos.! I’ve been following the Oyster Bay Osprey live cam. Photographing from my quarantining home of mating, eggs laid, and momma and poppa Osprey taking care of their nestlings. Your photos piece together leaving the nest and returning with food for all. Thank you!
My wife and I have been watching a live stream from Scotland where a breeding pair of Osprey laid 3 eggs. The live stream is doing a wonderful job of educating us with how these birds live. I have just watched your video, and I am truly impressed with your workmanship and dedication, well done. Back to our nest and we have 3 weeks before the chicks fledge, we are waiting in excitement for that day to come.
I am a new subscriber from the UK. I live in London miles away from ospreys but I had the joy of seeing the Arkaig and Loch of the Lowes osprey family last year and since then they're my favourite raptor. I've never seen them before. Looking at the live cam at Loch Arkaig is just great. I didn't see any in flight over water so I was glad to be able to watch your wonderful footage and enjoy your narration. The osprey, like all raptors are under protection here in the UK and they have made an amazing comeback after having been hunted to extinction in the last century here. Since 1970s their numbers have increased. Now I look forward to more videos from you. Thank you.
Overlooking the lake from my deck watching a couple of osprey fish for their families in nests 400 yards away. Searched the Internet for closer imagery and stumbled onto your wonderful video and engaging descriptions. Among the best nature videos I've seen.
Very few can appreciate this exceptional work of art, the filming takes more than we can ever thought .. Only you can appreciate your work more than anyone else
Superb photography and narration...I am now so proud of the Osprey, being from Colorado we sport a nice handful of raptors and I spent 5 years of my life in complete awe of the raptors of Colorado as a Falconer...great video, there was one shot behind the Osprey that blew my mind...8:06. I wish you all the best..I got to see more!
Outstanding photography but much more. Your narration tells a story and brings the pictures to life. Your passion and enthusiasm is plain the see and those photos - stunning.
Wow! How ist it possible to take such amazing pictures? Absolutely fantastic in an Incredible sharpness. Congratulations! Also for the explications of the pictures!
Blimey. Ospreys, eagles, sharks and alligators - what a day that must have been for you Mark! Keep the photos and story telling coming, this is one of the very best wildlife photography channels on YT.
I've already commented three times in the first 2 minutes, this is my last comment LOL. I've lost some people in my life very close to me, and I want to get a tattoo with a bird of prey and their initials. No doubt it was going to be a bald eagle, but after a few minutes of this video it's going to be an osprey I think. Thank you for posting this. Phenomenal stuff
I stumbled across this video and sat mesmerized with (literal) tears in my eyes at how beautiful these phots are and how awesome it must have felt when you reviewed the photos from each excursion. Great job doesn’t even begin to express the Kudos you deserve.
What a fabulous video ...Loved it and have kept for watching again and again .Bird photography is my passion ..larger birds here in Europe . Now can only carry 1 camera .Looking at these which would you say is lightest ....The footage captures , determination , drama and dedication to task .The first and last apply to you and the Osprey .However your editing provides the sense of drama👍..Thanks so much , Greetings from Berlin .Helena
NO way could I pick a favorite shot!! ALL are fantastic. Also superb is your editing and commentary!! I really enjoyed every second of this video.. GREAT work!! Thank you for all your skills and working them.
Just found this site and am totally impressed! Great Great photo's. I too love the Osprey's. But then, I'm a falconer and I love ALL species of birds of prey! Keep up the great work!
Amazing video and shots. Great to watch and very educational at the same time. I only had a few encounters with Osprey and the nest was way too far from where they hunt, so no Osprey with fish for me, but did get some nice shots of Ospreys. Thanks for sharing your work.
I live along the Columbia River in Wenatchee Washington and have observed this a few times. It makes me smile all day long when I spend time watching them. We have nests up and down the river.
Found you via TH-cam Creators Hub Podcast. Really, really well done. Any bird photography I’ve ever done has been unplanned and accidental. I have lots of respect for those who do it well. Thanks for sharing your experiences and tips.

you are pure idiot. U claim that dinosaurs were the ancestors with no evidence. You are also pure evil
@@j919or dinosaurs are ancestors of all birds . According to available findings till date

How is it that the footage in this video looks better than the Sony A1?

This is my first osprey-video ever. Yet somehow is exactly how I though it would be with those birds. Thanks for great shots and the stories.
Not only a brilliant photographer but also a great story teller Thanks, Mark!

Thank you!
I agree!
We have a house on the Corpus Christi Bay we get to watch this bird everyday from the back porch what a honor what an amazing sight.
An AMAZING talent of this photographer is nearly matching osprey’s fishing prowess. Gorgeous footage. Thank you, Mark for this breath taking video!
I could watch hours of your content. Your photos are breath taking & your commentary is engrossing. What an amazing bird & huge respect to you.
Thanks
The osprey is an amazing bird and your images are incredible.
Very brave Bird
5:14 - I've never heard a narrator's story so vividly illustrated that I do not see a huge difference between the photos and a real film. Just a masterpiece of brilliant bird storytelling.

Dude you are one awesome story teller. Awesome pictures!!!
Your photography and narrative is great! I myself take photos of ducks and birds of prey, and have real respect of your talent!
I was just thinking that!!!
Growing up, the Osprey was my favorite bird. Thanks for sharing your amazing photography and narration about one of nature's most skilled hunters.

Thank you for not only taking the photos but giving us the real story behind the bird. What a truly intelligent designed bird.
I like how you narrated this piece. Stumbled on this as I like nature docs, well done man.
How humans are degrading themselves: how are those stuff on the arms? Disgusting.

Very well done! Great photos and narration!

There are osprey in Michigan. Good to see they are plentiful. Your pictures are incredible. Thanks for making this video.
It would be better if they were plentiful somewhere else. Oh how i hate these birds!
@KAHANU ERMEYAS-TULU I hate them because they eat too many fish out of my 2 acre lake. They eat $10.00 per day of stocked trout per bird.
I stumbled across this video and sat mesmerized with (literal) tears in my eyes at how beautiful these phots are and how awesome it must have felt when you reviewed the photos from each excursion. Great job doesn’t even begin to express the Kudos you deserve.
I really like the story you told! And I love your awesome photos! Congratulations!
Absolutely no doubt one of my favorite birds of prey behind a bald eagle or red tail hawk. The nests that they make are just mind-boggling
Holy shit...that photo of the bass is absolutely incredible!!!
Happy to see an individual displaying his great, original work. Well done!
Thank you! Beautiful shots and footage. It’s amazing what can be discovered through photography. Your passion shines through!
Right, there was one shot behind the Osprey that blew my mind...8:06.

Without a doubt, one of the best videos and photos of the Osprey I have ever seen. Superb photography!
Thanks Mark. Enjoyed your amazing captures of this incredible bird.
Mark, you captured the most amazing images of the osprey. Your narration in the video was also very captivating!
Just found this site and am totally impressed! Great Great photo's. I too love the Osprey's. But then, I'm a falconer and I love ALL species of birds of prey! Keep up the great work!
