This is probably the best depiction of Toyotomi Hideyoshi I have ever seen until now. I love how the game explains in its own way how and why he went from an actually good-hearted and sympathic guy to a cruelly ambicious and ruthless tyrant, and despite that, he finally could return back to his old self.
And it's funny how Maria made the same mistake Kelley did with resurrecting powerful warlords: they only considered their bad deeds and thought of them as monsters, when they fundamentally were once human, and thus they weren't "demons".
It is the funny part of History, people remember the bad better than the good and sometimes only thing remembered in History is only the Bad. Only those who have known the person directly tend to remember the good parts of the person.
In the end Maria's downfall was only accepting what the Historians chosen to remember and not what the people who knew him chosen to remember.

@@orrthehunter Well, we need to consider the environment of Japan back then. Any war can literally break out at the drop of a hat just because one feels entitled to kick down another's door just to take control of another Lord's realm. One's ruthlessness (even if it may not be entirely true to one's persona) can be used as a scare tactic to at least delay or stop another in their tracks outright. Thus, I would imagine that the tall tales would eventually be blown up into a large bubble waiting to be burst just to make sure the Lord's control would be firmly in grasp as long as they could until all the weeds (uprisings) would be cut off at the roots. If so, all the daily "written" history would probably sway into propaganda tactics because that's what's keeping most of the country in check. This in turn, means that the current historians can only have these "history" of the masses to guess what has happened back then unless someone can actually come up with a concrete evidence saying otherwise.

2 possibilities : lazyness from the dev, or the fragment of the immortality-granting sword she is always carrying around as pendant.
The necklace she has was apart of the blade. Gives her immortality
@@gabrieldoyen692 yeah it makes sense she'd be immortal do to the pendant she wears since we clearly see other characters aging and you're character and Mumyo are the only ones that haven't age much in the story

Actually it's her guardian spirit (which is a mermaid) that keeps her young. The meta reason is that Emi Takei (whose likeness was used for Mumyo) refused to have her beauty tarnished.

Lol William didn't get with Okuni. He came back for Okatsu who waited for him. They got a kid together but Okatsu is not seen anymore. Too bad it doesn't go like this in reality though. In the game, Okatsu is Tokugawa Leyasu's daughter but in reality or at least according to history, she was his concubine instead. They conceive a kid together, Tokugawa Yorifusa.
And also has Hanzo on speed dial to watch after his kid when Dad needs to go and give some Yokai good old Irish/English greeting.

Nioh and sekiro really arent all that hard, its just getting past the learning curve of how the combat works, after that its a super forgiving game with loads of checkpoints. Nioh 2 especially is super easy cause of the burst counter mechanic being insnanely forgiving
@Strike The Valstrax The super easy enemy that gets bodied by fire which is conviently scattered around the area to light your weapons for you to use? And the one you can cheese without a problem if you use that one mask that lets you spit fire?
One thing missing about this cutscene was ieyasu's family, nobuyasu and tsukiyama
10/10 for your character, it fits well in the world of Nioh :D

That blade that killed the "fiend" in the beginning is from Ninja Gaiden right? The blade the antagonist (nunchuck master) used to turn into a demon or "fiend"

It takes place before, during and after Nioh 1.

No from what I get the character is saito dosan son/daughter hence named hide while his other son/daughter is tatsu most of this is base on japanese lore but it doesn't follow it to the letter

Seriously, I can’t be the only one trying to do a Japanese playthrough. I haven’t seen a single game movie cutscene video that isn’t cringey English lol. Nvm I found one, ZanarAesthetics. Still, I can’t believe so many people can tolerate the English voices.

🤔 as far as I could tell the demon showed up in the village and he wasn’t hurting anyone just going about his business then the villagers started tormenting him? And he’s the bad guy? This story makes very little sense, but whatever we’re here for the demon slaying 🤷🏼♂️
I think it's said somewhere, like his armor set, that he would dispense justice or whatever on those deserving. Like thieves and murderers, and the village took it the wrong way, thinking that he was hurting people and turned on him. There's also some dialogue where some people didn't even trust him in the first place. Saying that he was a bad omen or something.
