Wouldn't water types still fear brave bird?
Since this is ulta leauge and a lot of people don't play master leauge there is a lot of players who dont know ho-oh moves

Brave bird does a lot, but doesn't one shot. And ho-oh can't incinerate down, so it's a decently safe no shield

Ho-oh is an underrated pkmn in UL imo, it has similar bulk to talonflame only difference is that it has sacred fire instead of flame charge
2:00 This battle is so hard countered but still managed to win. Opponent picks mostly high ranked pokemon in pvpoke. The problem is Pidgeot’s pvpoke ranking is theoretical, highly dependent on the feather dance bait. The player calls all the baits and saves all shields for Talonflame, coming back to win, what a nice win.
What a satisfying win against those who double shield swampert

For me talonflame is one of the scariest Pokemon..once it gets boosted it is difficult to handly

Bruh same exactly 😂 it's a crap move n ember db for high damage n fire spin for balance and wing attack for meta
I do occasionally use my Apex Shadow Ho-Oh in UL. SF+ is pretty good
For the trev mirrors I run foul play on trevenant as its one less to shadow ball, and as they count they will know ita not shadow ball and asume a seed bomb not sheild then bang super effective damage
HSH is the GOAT at helping me remember pokemon have coverage moves I forgot they get 😂
Talon flame is really strong. Minus using a rock water type with rock type fast move. Paired with trev is amazing. Ho oh is literally just a shield taker. Could put any nuker instead.

I have a hidden power grass/solar beam ho-oh that is just a bit too high for ultra league, but still a fun mon nonethess
I ran a line leading Tapu Fini with Giratina altered and Guzzlord in the back and went from about 2250 ELO to 3028 in the last week and hit legend for the first time. It is a pretty consistent team, I think I only lost like 2 or 3 sets total with it. You should give it a try!

Dam I wouldn't spent 500k to max a 14/13/13 Talonflame and then feels like a lvl 48... I would at least go for a 15 atk one lol.
14/13/13 is actually a Rank 37 Ultra League Talonflame, that seemed pretty good to me lol! 98.76% of ideal. It's the best one I've caught for UL either way
I love the open ultra league. I made an aggron, Rayquaza and machamp team (my favourite Pokémon of all time) and gone from 1700 to 2470 elo so far!
