Jennifer McGregor - "Ah, fors'è lui ... Sempre libera" LA TRAVIATA (Verdi) 1998

Australian soprano, Jennifer McGregor, was one of the best loved coloraturas in the history of opera in Australia. She was an authentic actor with a voice which had charm and exemplary agility. Her 'perfect' trill has yet to be equaled on our stages. She is heard here as Violetta - a role she sang only one season with Opera Australia. Her offstage Alfredo is Anthony Elek in his first Principal role whilst in the Young Artist Programme. The conductor is David Stanhope in this live performance from the Opera Theatre stage of the Sydney Opera House on July 7th, 1998.
