Chance wrote this and took lead.Chance loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming.Ubisoft heard their Sea Shanty Melody and loved it so they approached Home Free with an amazing opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game they are releasing soon. Chance jumped at the opportunity him being the shanty guy was the perfect choice 😊
They just released the official video a couple days ago.
They released this Lyric video and performed it live a Ubisoft live premiere of Skull And Bones 7 months ago.

Home Free did a sea shanty during Covid and it went viral and caught the attention of the game maker Ubisoft. They asked Chance (singer) to write a shanty for their new game Skull and Bones. This is the song. This is the lyric video. Yes, those are scenes from the game. It’s coming out on Feb. 16 (I think) and HF dropped a new video for it. You’ll see Chance singing in it. It does have guitar and mandolin in it but Adam is doing the drums. It’s a banger!!!💀☠

The official music video they just released is amazing! It is like a mini movie. Chance did such a great job writing this one and singing lead. This is one of their rare ones where a couple instruments are used ( because it's for a video game). Thanks for the Home Free reactions

For having no background info, you did pretty good guessing it was a video game and very good at guessing it was Chance singing lead. Even thougg they used a guitar and a mandolin, the percussion sounds are all Adam.

This was for the new Ubisoft game Skull and Bones that has been delayed in production for a LONG time scheduled to finally be released Feb.16 2024 ( fingers crossed). Chance did a wonderful job.

Hi Strike, it's from an Ubisoft game. Ubisoft asked Home Free to write this for their pirate game, and Chance wrote and sang the lead. There is a live version out, so you can watch HF perform.

You were correct, it's Chance singing. The live version is shorter but you can see them singing and, Chance and Tim sound like they are singing even lower 😮

Yes this truely beautiful! And Home Free will always step back to let someone else shine! And they absolutely have the respect and show it to the people who made the song originally as in Lee Greenwood. I think you would really enjoy "let the music play" a cover they do of the Doobie Brothers
Finally the deserved video for this awesome song. Of course the video of the game and the live performance was great too, but this video is beyond amazing. Phenomenal how it looks. The Home Free guys as the perfect pirates. Especially Chance. If it were up to me, they could make a whole movie. In any case, I will watch it with 5 of those handsome, cool pirates.🏴☠️🥰💖
