My grandfather gave one of his to me 2 years ago (he died last year god bless his soul) that he had during WW2 and I carry it everywhere with me... It still runs until this day so I can vouch that this is the greatest lighter ever made. It's one of the greatest reminders of my grandfather I have and hopefully it will be there to pass to my grandchildren.
The beautiful thing about zippo as well is that while it may last forever, if there is ever a day it stops working they are warrantied for life and zippo will fix it for free. That's how good of a product it is. Wonderful story about your grandfathers lighter, something to remember him by.

It already looks old even though it’s brand new and that’s what I like about it. I also like how it’s such a high quality product and it has a lifetime warranty and it’s made in the USA.
Massive respect for everyone involved in making this incredible product. I feel proud to pull out a zippo. It's craftsmanship... and you can't improve on perfection...it just works...each and every time. When a product has the same components for 82 years without change... you know it is a flawless design.
I was born in the 60"s and remember my father carrying a Zippo lighter every day to light up his cigs. I just purchased my first Zippo three days ago and I really am enjoying listening to the click of the lid that i remember from my childhood.
It would be very awesome if on the 100th Birthday they picked a specific time around the globe where everyone goes outside and lights their Zippo for 60 seconds. Not only would it look awesome, it would generate a lot of media and I think a TON of sales. If that was a thing that I found out was happening and I didn't already have a few Zippos I would definitely go out and buy one so that I could take apart of a once in a lifetime event. 100 years, over 1,000,000,000 flames, all at once, multiple generations of designs and users. Gave it to my son before he served in iraq and was killed on duty. zippo is the only lighter I will ever use.
I bought a zippo and use it all the time for everything I do. I like them because they are durable, refillable, and fixable, unlike the cheap plastic butane lighters that most people use today.
What he just said about having the company go out of business before he sees Zippo being made outside of Bradford. Man, that makes me so proud to be a first time buyer as of today
I am not sure if this is ok, but I had the same "theoretical" Zippo for over 30 years I think. It's not the same Zippo I started with. Over time, I cannibalized other Zippos to repair mine. I never fully switched it. I switched the cover, the core, the flint, the wick, the cotton balls, the fuel. I don't have anything from the original, but the thought. I lost my wallet, keys and phone more than 10 times combined. But not once in my 50 years of life did I loose my Zippo. And I feel it is true. You don't need to smoke to carry a Zippo. Man made fire. I'm not a smoker at all but the older I get the more I enjoy little relevant bits of my past like a Zippo (bought one last year for the first time), above all when the company has such great values in particular producing in the place they have always been. I now have a Zippo and a collection of Opinel knives, created in my land of Savoy and still produced entirely there (like Zippo dies). I would go visit the Zippo museum in Bradford if I were not living in another continent. Long live king Zippo!

I like zippo lighters because they are the original windproof lighter, it went to WW2, Vietnam, it has been made in America for the past 88 years. My grandfather had a zippo when he smoked cigars. His lighter was passed down to me and I will pass it down to my kids one day. All Hail zippo

I'm 23 years old, I do smoke Marlboro black menthols, but I owned zippos before I started smoking, and if I quit I'll still own Zippos. It's just a damn good lighter, and if someone ever asks for a light it doesn't get cooler than pulling out a zippo. I carry a Bic and a Zippo for those times when my Zippo is dry. It is amazing to me to sit here in South Carolina and think that an American company makes a very large percentage of it's sales exporting product to China.
So glad to see that there is still American companies that manufacture their products in the United States and made by American workers with American standards of quality on making the products... instead of just making it an American brand but it's made elsewhere great job Zippo!! Wish more companies would follow the footsteps of zippo especially Apple and their china made iphones!
The main reason why i don't use zippo a lot is cuz they don't light when you buy them. You need to purchase fluid. A lotta times when you need a lighter you want one that works out of the box so you can light whatever it is you need to light. I'm surprised they aren't sold with the lighter fluid already in them like all other lighters. Or at least like a tiny bottle of fluid sold with it in the same package. I"m sure there's a reason tho.
I LOVE Zippos just because they’re fuckin cool and retro and reliable! And I love how Quentin Tarantino’s characters use them like the resivoir dogs and Vincent Vega from pulp fiction! It makes me want a zippo even more haha. I just ordered my first zippo today
even though i’ve been a smoker for a decade and a half, i only fairly recently (a few months ago) acquired my very own Zippo lighter, and i wouldn’t be able to come up with something negative to say about Zippo even if you paid me. i specifically wanted a very simple, plain brass case for my Zippo because it’s something that i associate very much with the US armed forces, so i thought that brass was only fitting. i hope i’m able to keep it long enough to pass it down to my children one day, if/when i do have kids.
Love zippos dont smoke cigarettes anymore and i use a jet for cigars but i always carry one from my collection because they are so useful when you need a flame
I bought a Zippo lighter today. Black Ice design. Pulled it out of the box only to find out that it was made 4 years ago and sat unsold in the store for that long (July 2015 date stamp). I never plan to smoke, but as he said in the video, it's useful as a firestarter for many things other than smoking.
My Zippos aren't closet/display queens. I light them all up. The way they've been intended to be. Almost using them to punishing levels and never ever had to have any one of them serviced in the Zippo Clinic. You just have to love these little tanks. Impressive to say the least. Then add the heritage and the epic history of the company. You got a bomb of a combination.
With zippo lighters, I bet you'll think you need more than just one. I have 3. Street Chrome., brushed brass and a power button. I keep all three fueled and ready. My power button has a zippo pipe insert. I don't smoke but just love these lighters. My street Chrome goes everywhere I do. I'm thinking of getting a couple butane inserts just because, but really like the zippo in original form burning zippo lighter fluid
I don't smoke. I never have, and I never will. I own a Zippo because I just think they're cool. It feels awesome to contribute to what this guy was talking about in the beginning of the clip.
it works. unlike all the other butane including super expensive cigar lighters. hate the taste but gonna try the non evaporative fuel an see if it tastes better. i watched a video by zippo on how to replace or pull up the Wick an according to where theu say my wick should be the zippo lighter came from the factory with the Wick just smashed in there an not in an S shape amongsts the cottons an the wick seemed too short for that as well. but its still working a month later an that means it'll keep working.
I agree it is about fire, as he said. I own three Zippos and I don't even smoke.

I love my Zippos, I lite my cigars with the torch insert . I carry one with me always. My old, my new, my custom lighter. Zippo just says class.
So glad to see that there is still American companies that manufacture their products in the United States and made by American workers with American standards of quality on making the products... instead of just making it an American brand but it's made elsewhere great job Zippo!! Wish more companies would follow the footsteps of zippo especially Apple and their china made iphones!
i love how extremely reliable these lighters are
Great! a real American made brand.
I have the Wolf in Black Ice and the 1941 replica in Black Crackle :)
I don't smoke but I love zippos, hate that the fuel dries so quickly but other than that it's cool.
Only 9 more years now
I thought there was a Zippo which has been burning for 82 years straight.... derp
Same 😂
my father had that zippo ( 3:37 ) for 10 years, he gave it to me yesterday.
chris7fold the pink one?
I have 5 and I love each and every one of them. They are just gorgeous and quality was very well maintained over time.
Love my zippo and I would love to start a collection.
Thanks to Austria's lighter design that didn't have the hinge, that our Zippos were made.
God bless.
even though i’ve been a smoker for a decade and a half, i only fairly recently (a few months ago) acquired my very own Zippo lighter, and i wouldn’t be able to come up with something negative to say about Zippo even if you paid me. i specifically wanted a very simple, plain brass case for my Zippo because it’s something that i associate very much with the US armed forces, so i thought that brass was only fitting. i hope i’m able to keep it long enough to pass it down to my children one day, if/when i do have kids.

I want a brass Zippo so bad!
Love zippos dont smoke cigarettes anymore and i use a jet for cigars but i always carry one from my collection because they are so useful when you need a flame
Thank you Mr Zippo, your lighters have been in my pocket throughout my life.
You got a bomb of a combination.
quit smoking about 2 years ago. still love having a zippo lighter around. more satisfying than a fidget spinner and more useful.
Sitting in the hot seat. What brave warriors.
I don't smoke. I never have, and I never will.
I own a Zippo because I just think they're cool. It feels awesome to contribute to what this guy was talking about in the beginning of the clip.
I opened and closed my zippo all throughout this video
A true American company
I love my masonic Zippo lighter.
Long live to Zippo lighter! ♥️
Regards from South America.

I
I do smoke with it and gotta say best lighter for that
it works. unlike all the other butane including super expensive cigar lighters. hate the taste but gonna try the non evaporative fuel an see if it tastes better.
i watched a video by zippo on how to replace or pull up the Wick an according to where theu say my wick should be the zippo lighter came from the factory with the Wick just smashed in there an not in an S shape amongsts the cottons an the wick seemed too short for that as well.
but its still working a month later an that means it'll keep working.
Eso es normal que llege asi. Parece que la maquina de las mechas y algodon en ocaciones se equivoca pero la puedes acomodar en forma de s
