    You make it look so flipping easy when it's not. When I first heard that track on radio 1 the only thing I noticed was the shaker and no high hat. So that shaker is completely straight 16, you just copied it 3 more times and changed the velocity and decay a bit on each one of the four and it sounds like it's got a shuffle innit

  • @DeanKennyMusic

    Can someone explain how remixers would go about getting the acapellas if they want to create a professional remix? Do they just e-mail the label and ask for a decoposed version of the track?

    • @Austin-vo2gh
      @Austin-vo2gh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you’re an established producer it’s easier to get them. If not you can usually find certain studio acapellas that leak or were released for other reasons. Just google the song name with the word acapella after. The hard part is getting copyright clearance to release the music

    good video for beginners. my advice is to study some music theory books, because theory explanation in this kind of videos usually with a lot of mistakes like we don't have Abm/E, we have G#m F# and Emaj7 C#m etc... so if you wanna make music you should study theory. and what about drum samples... it's funny to use vengeance sounds.. some times it works but not this time) not even close

      Ski's 8/bar loop same the first 8bars of the first chorus only, 2nd & 3rd chorus same as the 16/bar verse pattern, bars 5,9 &13 have double kicks added.
      i like these kind subtle changes.

    • @skioakenfull
      @skioakenfull 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Rama. Glad you liked the video :) I created the bass sound by layering both Ableton's Operator and Analog devices. Operator provided the sharper FM sound, and Analog provided more warmth and body. If you join an online programme you will have the opportunity to ask your instructor for help deconstructing your favourite tracks in both the weekly masterclass and 1-2-1 tutorials. The same will apply if you study at the college. Let me know if you need any further advice. Good luck!

    the main thing of this song is compression (probably some unique) which I sought and which you didnt show.. so this video is pretty pointless

    • @novakattila
      @novakattila 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Learning compression, what classic compressors are used for (which is what makes a lot of tracks good), how to set them up etc. are months of learning. You either learn it yourself or you take your stuff to a mixing engineer. "Producers" (kids making shit in FL or smashing loops together) nowadays forget that mixing music is a job and takes a lot of learning. The main reason "loops" and samples sound better than what you make is proper processing (often on gear most people couldnt even afford)
