When you give knives to a friend you also give a coin, because you don't want the gift to severe the friendship. The coins are supposed to add to the gift and show the gift of knives as a friendship gift, not one of cruelty..lol. Some one told me that story a long time ago...Good to see you Tina, I always love your videos and lighthearted personality!
Yes! When I gave my husband a knife he immediately pulled money out and said as he was handling it to me. “Baby you never buy me a knife again because I don’t want anything to happen to us.” I laughed and he told me why and he was really serious!!
Here's the story behind it... Gift a Knife: Include a Penny For reasons historians have not reached a consensus on, somewhere along the line - way back in the line, hundreds (maybe thousands) of years ago - people came to believe that giving a knife as a gift meant bad luck for the relationship. In another words, the knife would metaphorically “cut” the ties that bind two people. This affect is even worse if the recipient is your significant other - some believe the love will soon end after the knife is given as a gift or that a knife as a wedding gift will severe the bonds of marriage. No one wants a gift like that! That’s why, long before rationality and science started replacing superstition, a tradition began in which those who gift a knife also attach a coin to the blade or include it with the gift. Even a penny will do. The receiver of the knife then gives the penny to the gift-giver, thus “paying” them for the knife and keeping the relationship intact.
Those little dresses are not ugly . You should maybe advertise them as "movie production vintage children clothing." Down here in the South, those were very popular when my kids were young. .❤❤❤❤
Those vintage dresses are brands I used to buy for my kids she’s now 28 but a few of those will date back to late 80’s mostly early 90’s, they were quite expensive brands as well. The Bryan is probably from the mid to late 80’s, great finds! I used to think those styles were super cute! My how times have changed!
OMG! The little girl dresses reminded me of the dress with a pinafore I made for my daughter when she was 3. So "little house on the prairie"! She Hated that dress! I loved it on her....so cute! I kept that dress and it's hanging on the closet today! She will be 44 this year. LOL
I laughed so loud when you said “this is for drunks on the go” that my cats jumped on the bed to see if I was okay. You crack me up. And, I couldn’t believe those prices! Glad to see you back Tina
Oh man, I wish we had yard sales like that around here! I missed one last weekend, my coworker got a good brand acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and an amp for a steal. His 2 teenage boys claimed them as soon as he got home, lol.
You got some smokin’ deals. Love the purse for wine. I’d not use it for wine since I don’t drink wine. But it’s just a fun bag. Lucky to find that Jim Shore, seem hard to find. Enjoy your videos.
I really enjoyed this video however for the time invested I wish you had more comps at the end and less I don’t knows. As a new reseller I enjoy learning from the videos I watch. Thank you for making it.
❤. I’ve been watching your videos. I like your items you pick up. Your not like the other resellers looking for mostly games and fluff. I want to start selling very part time to help my disability income. I have not figured out shipping and listings yet.
Absolutely love your video's. I like your style of buying and showing your haul. You're very real and seem so natural and comfortable with yourself. You're very unpretentious. The stuff you found was amazing ... Tiffany & Co, shoes, Halloween cups, etc. Good eye! Thanks for the fun!
I agree. Very natural. I feel like she's a neighbor down the street. I can't stand watching those videos with the females with all the make up, long finger nails, fake lashes, fancy houses, perfect hair...trying to convince me of all the great deals they got at Temu...all landfill product and toxic. At least Tina's recycling most of the items.
I love your videos!!! I can sit up all night watching you. I am so impressed with your knowledge of the comps that you can make. I would love to do what you do but I wouldn't even know how to get started. You are so interesting in the way you show everything and tell us what you can profit from them. Can I be your apprentice??? LOL I love this so much. What do you have on your phone that you can see the value of items? I definitely need that. Thank you for all that you do. I love your laugh. Keep making these for us please
Doesn't anyone pre-price things? That would drive me crazy having to ask constantly. By me, if they don't pre-price, I usually walk away because things are way out of my price range.
The worst is when things are not priced AND you can't even figure out who is running the sale to ask. Or when you ask and they can't even come up with a price to give you. "Oh, I'll decide when you're done looking." I don't want to waste time looking if the prices are possibly going to be crazy high. Luckily in my area the vast majority of people price things.
So great to see you again Tina, lol I laughed so hard I need one of those bags for my husband only for beer, another awesome haul, thanks for sharing come back soon I have missed you
You always score great stuff. Tiffany & Co. $15 I thought she was gonna say no- crazy someone would of wanted $75 for that around by me. Buffy dolls that’s a sweet find.
LOL....You say hideous I say heavenly (when my daughter was small) with a little red head with cream frilly socks, brown or black patent leather shoes, a burgundy ribbon barrette (fine thin hair), a cloth bracelet (cornflower yellow) with a tatted flower sewn on. And possibly an over apron cream with frills on the shoulders. Hideous.........nah, I see my big little girl in that. Thanks for the picture!!
Welcome Back Tina! So happy to see you! Amazing haul! Love shopping with you. Really feels like I am right there with you. Your items seem like they came from an expensive retail store, not from yard sales. “Flying baby” 😂 I cracked up laughing! You are a riot! BTW your hair looks gorgeous.
to get old stains out of clothes, lightly dampen with Dawn dish soap mixed with mostly water and hang in the sun. they will come right out after an hour or so
I do not remember seeing this stuff you are showing at the end at the sales, the only think I saw you pick up was the 3 dvds and the mugs, I didn’t see any of the other stuff, weird.
Okay so about midway through your end haul I start seeing stuff that you picked up, but the stuff at the beginning I never saw you pick up, you must have went to sales and not recorded.
I enjoy your videos, and I am not a reseller but an avid garage saler. So, I have a question: I know the work upfront on scouting the items at garage sales. But, the work of listing, monitoring, plus packing up, boxing, shipping the items? It seems like a lot of work!
I wondered too...I know it's not my business but often wonder if it is worth it...and I guess it must be, plus you gotta love it. There are also YT royalties from advertisers. That would help too.❣️
Thank you for sharing with us ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A dog greeting at a garage sale is always a plus!
I agree

Wow, never heard this before.

Agree always give a coin with
Knives. Always a penny in a purse.
Yes Always Tape money to any gifted knives. Also always put money in wallets and purses that are gifted
Those little dresses are not ugly . You should maybe advertise them as "movie production vintage children clothing." Down here in the South, those were very popular when my kids were young. .❤❤❤❤
I'm amazed at all the new in box stuff you find at yard sales. Garage sales are mostly junk down here.
Those vintage dresses are brands I used to buy for my kids she’s now 28 but a few of those will date back to late 80’s mostly early 90’s, they were quite expensive brands as well. Yep, my mom made dresses like that for my cousins and I back in the early 80s.
Little house on the Prarie style is in at Target. The big bag dresses are in.
I loved all those little girl dresses!
Tina, you might be able to reach out to movie makers looking for that vintage look.
Wonderful video!
So jealous of the Buffy dolls! Well...and lotsa other things...but those were a steal! Yay you!
I laughed so loud when you said “this is for drunks on the go” that my cats jumped on the bed to see if I was okay. You crack me up. And, I couldn’t believe those prices! Glad to see you back Tina
Could of used that in my younger days LMAO
So happy to see you’re back! Will watch when I get home!
I just can’t believe the great prices in your area. So jealous 😳
Love the kids clothes. William and Kate would have paid big bucks for those dresses for Charlotte.😀
Oh man, I wish we had yard sales like that around here! I missed one last weekend, my coworker got a good brand acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and an amp for a steal. His 2 teenage boys claimed them as soon as he got home, lol.
The Ralph Lauren Christening Gowns are $295 new! Great find!
Yes ! Pennies to knives my mum always did this , great to see you back
You got some smokin’ deals. Love the purse for wine. I’d not use it for wine since I don’t drink wine. But it’s just a fun bag. Lucky to find that Jim Shore, seem hard to find. Enjoy your videos.
Hey Tina , glad you’re back , missed your videos. ❤️❤️❤️
Glad you are back !! Awesome scores !!
I have lost my comment twice on the freaking Kindle. So glad to see you, so very glad!
When we give a knife, we ask for a coin first. That way we are not giving a dangerous weapon, they are buying it.
The pink and yellow dresses would look really great on a Japanese lolita girl/kid as a doll type style. Maybe use these keywords on your listing
There you are! Missed you! I guess the season is pretty much over. I’ll see you in the Spring my friend ❤️
Hahaha. You had me laughing at that wine bag!
So fun to see you and what great finds!
That leather tool stuff for $10 ... omg!
A “Drunk oN the Go” bag. I had to pick myself up of the floor. 😅😂🤣
Yay, so glad to see you. I miss your videos
Yes that one had her hair in a ponytail
I really enjoyed this video however for the time invested I wish you had more comps at the end and less I don’t knows. As a new reseller I enjoy learning from the videos I watch. Thank you for making it.
I also don't pick up coins that are heads down, but I flip them for the next person so they are heads ups for them :) great haul.
Good idea
❤. I’ve been watching your videos. I like your items you pick up. Your not like the other resellers looking for mostly games and fluff. I want to start selling very part time to help my disability income. I have not figured out shipping and listings yet.
I am the drunk on the go!!!! You’re haul is impressive!!!!
🤣
So excited you posted a video! I miss you when you don’t
Those “vintage dresses” are actually 80’s kids style. I dressed my girls in them 😊
Good to see your return. Very nice items for the haul.
Another great haul. Thanks for the Wine Bag Tutorial...It got me giggling and I needed that😀
Lol , you are so funny. you sunk into the grass.

It's just the eBay app on my phone.
I agree. It's soothing but drives me nuts that I can't be there buying some of that good stuff. 😏😏
Enjoyed watching you got some really good items
Such organized boxes, like the theme idea.
Good to see you enjoy yourself! You seemed almost giddy at the haul. 😊
Those kids clothes look like 70-80s style. I know when you give a purse or wallet as a gift you put a penny in for good fortune.
Great haul, Tina!! I've really missed seeing you--love your sense of humor!!
Love all your fines Tina! You always get great stuff to resale! Garage sailing is so much fun! Nice to see you! 😉

I don't like sales that don't price their stuff .It usually way to expensive.

I miss your videos! I love your humor! I need to look in to one of those wine bags! I mean really! LoL!!
I was reminded that I have about 12 Heather Goldminc pieces to list, maybe I’ll do that tomorrow if the weather is sucky.
Are you going to do any “What sold”’s for Q4? Those are my favorite!
Rocking the sales!
You always score great stuff. Tiffany & Co. $15 I thought she was gonna say no- crazy someone would of wanted $75 for that around by me. Buffy dolls that’s a sweet find.

Back in the 70s, 80s and even the 90s little girls dressed like little girls, not Beyonce.
OMG! You got some amazing deals. 👍🏻
Garage sales have petered off in my area. Generally they run Easter to Halloween but this year, not much for several weeks. I'm sad.
Glad to see you back...Great haul!
Good to see you Tina!

I enjoy your videos, and I am not a reseller but an avid garage saler. So, I have a question: I know the work upfront on scouting the items at garage sales. But, the work of listing, monitoring, plus packing up, boxing, shipping the items? It seems like a lot of work!

There are also YT royalties from advertisers. That would help too.❣️
Great finds!
I am dying laughing over the kids clothes lol. Hahaha

I can’t find your sales on eBay. I looked under Gemini thrifts. I wanted to consider buying a few things. What is your seller name?
