I do half of these already but the bread box idea I never thought about . I made one in high school and gave it to my mom 15 years ago i bet she still has it. Now I get to show her what else she can do with it.. Thanks.. Ok maybe not half but a couple..lol
My nana always said bugs love paper. Easy to become damp breeding ground. She was a stickler on getting rid of and not using shipping boxes. I'm with you 100% on your first tip. Also, I like cord box idea, kitchen ideas and Rubbermaid fast track (going to look into this one for sure). I rent, small studio apartment so I can alter but do much. Thanks
Recently reorganized my kitchen and gained two drawers and 1/2 cupboard. I was able to transition my bottom drawer into my kitchen "junk drawer", something I have had for years but have missed since I moved 3 yrs ago. Small tools, clips, ties, batteries, etc, all organized like never before. I have a bunch of old door knobs I may incorporate in my entrance room for hanging items. A list for the items in the freezer is fantastic; never thought of that before. Lots of great ideas.
Since I already have a charging station, I use an old wooden breadbox on my counter to store oven mitts and potholders. They are multi-functional! I loved the pegboard idea for shoes. Lots of great ideas, thanks!
I love your idea to use a bread box to store oven mitts and pot holders! I don't even have a bread box but I may look for one soon! I like to paint fine art and details (using a toothpick) on wood, so a hand painted bread box would look great on our counter top. Thanks for sharing your idea. May God bless you. Have a "GOD" day! Peace, Lynne
I recently purchased big bag hooks for my kids to place their backpacks and jackets by the door. We also use a home made bowling ball rack as our shoe rack. Definitely helps keep the place cleaner. In addition, outside on our enclosed porch we have tree rings placed by the door to place our wet snow boots.
Some really great tips. I use a dry erase board above my storage freezer to keep track of what's inside. I take everything out when I refill it and update the board. Thanks
Thank you for the great ideas I have used the silverware drawer. It looks great and more organized. I used individual recycled plastic container of deli meat and dollar tree labels for recharge cords. I love it, not pretty but effective. Keep it up!
I liked the one were you used the towel holder for trash bags I'm doing it right now in our kitchen I have used the same idea in my shop to hold all rolled items tapes cords sanding disks. See what you think of this one. you know that little area under the front lip of sinks ( kitchen bath were ever), they sell a kit to add a fold out shelf to this area it is great for children in bathroom with their tooth pastes and bushes. Or this one add a couple strips of velcro to the back side of your computer keyboard and the non vented side of your computer to allow you to hang keyboard up and out of the way when not in use or not used to play games. Loved the video keep em coming !!!
yessss...this video has inspired me to get busy on my organizing so any things around my crib.... Dollar Tree here I come ....hahaha....but yeah!! All my family & friends know that's my favorite store! !
Excellent video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (should be on google have a look)? It is a good one of a kind product for decluttering your home without the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my m8 at last got astronomical success with it.
Thanks for the video content! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you considered - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for decluttering your home minus the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical success with it.
I use push pins and make use of the wall space behind my cook top. I also hang things that I seldom use that are pretty. I am using a pretty table runner as a valance over a window with blinds.
LADY, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! I KNOW I HAVEN'T KNOWN YOU FOR VERY LONG BUT...I THINK I'M IN LOVE! All kidding aside, you have created an amazing video for organization. Thank you. I'm not kidding about my feelings though, lol, I'm very fond of you.
Sooooooo many awesome ideas! I've bookmarked a lot of the blogs to a special file! This is the 3rd video of yours that I've watched and I must say, I am ADDICTED to your TH-cam page!! You have a new subscriber one video ago! lol! Thanks for all the researching and videos you do!
Great ideas!!! I love all the kitchen ideas! where can I find the note pad paper??? Do you have any ideas for teacher organization? I truly need help with this!!!
I've been looking EVERYWHERE for the perfect size box to hold my acrylic paints, brushes, polishes, nail art, etc. I want it on wheels, so that I can push it away, when I'm not using it. I like your ladder/basket idea, even though it's not on wheels. But I was wondering if you had an recommendations, or maybe a video that would include a similar idea for what I'm looking for? I live in an apt, so space is limited. Thanks in advance! :-) Oh my problem in finding the right size caddy, is the drawers... They seem to be a half, to an inch shorter than my paints.
Hi Christina! I am in the process of organizing too! ....well, about to anyway....lol. I wanted to tell you that you can buy wheels from WalMart type stores or any hardware store. They come in many sizes to suit your needs. You can attach them to a board that is the size of the organizer. The plastic drawers that you get from the above mentioned stores, come with wheels that you can snap in, but they CAN'T handle much weight. I have been collecting boxes of different types and sizes with the intention of putting them together then covering them to make them "pretty". I've been getting tons of ideas...NOW!!! ...just to make myself DO IT. Watching these video's is really getting me "INSPIRED", ......BUT THEN.... looking at the feat ahead of me gets me overwhelmed or sidetracked quick. My physical and psychological issues get in my way. One day I'll have "A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING IN IT'S PLACE"!!!! Right now I am ashamed to say that I live as a hoarder in a small space with no room to work on anything. Now I'm depressed again. I hate Bipolar/Depression and Chronic pain!!!!!!
+Rachelle Deranger Hi there! Thanks so much for the tips :) It's funny, because when I think I know what I want/need, I then see something else that might work, but think the expense of $200 for some storage & organizing just won't do lol So I keep trying to find something cheaper. I was thinking the same thing about the wheels... just putting them on myself. But still haven't found the right organizer. I spent hours on many websites, and have gone to Hobby Lobby, Target, and Staples. I'm sorry that you have so many things you have to deal with, and that keep you from getting things done. I must admit, that I too, am in that situation. Waiting to get neck, & back surgery, so I'm sure you can imagine all that comes with it. That's why it's important for me to get things organized. It's hard to live in a life that is cluttered when you're home all of the time, and definitely is overwhelming. My suggestion is to do what I'm doing. I purchased a plastic box with lid, and started going through one drawer at a time. Anything that I can part with, goes in the box for a up and coming yard sale. When the first box got full, I bought another one. This way it's not too overwhelming for me, and when I have what I call "my bad days", meaning I can't get out of bed. I can feel content that I'm making improvement, just on "my time". I hope this helps you, since I know how hard it is when your head is telling you that you have so much to do, but your body is saying you're not doing anything!
+Rachelle Deranger Also, I wouldn't worry about covering the boxes to make them pretty. Then you won't organize. Organize your stuff in the boxes, and then go back and make them nice, or just label them to help further organize. Then you won't feel so cluttered physically or mentally. Being mentally cluttered is just as messy as being physically cluttered. Everyday, I try to take something off my mental list, only to have another added on. So cleaning up the physical mess, helps me deal with that a little better ;-)
For DVDs, CDs. Use a DVD burner. You can copy each disk or title onto the computer. Some patience is required. You can save alot of physical space, and have all your titles organized.
I have all my pots, pans, and utensils in a metal bucket. You're right about the dust, but when space is limited, you do what you have to. You just need to do a quick rinse before using anything :)

oh another one are you like me and tired of folding bath towels and wash clothes? Yep!!!! so we rebuilt our bathroom closet to a more user friendly space. it is very deep so we took out all shelves and rebuilt it were they run across back wall and we can step into it to reach things. We also came up with this idea, We took four 1"x 4"x6' boards and after clamping them together we drilled a centered hole 6" down from what will become the top of our wrack then directly under this we drilled another hole every 3". until we were 3' from bottom. Then we went back to the top of the board and measured down 5" from top and at the edge of the boards that would become our wrack's front, here we drilled a hole same size as rest and at outer edge of the boards. Then we drilled the rest of the holes at the front edge of our wrack at the same relation to the first set, about a inch higher than the ones at the center line of the boards. Then using a saber saw we cut between these sets of holes to form channels that in turn form a ladder of sorts. Then we laid them out across our work bench to were they were 3' apart at the outer edge and then we stood them up with the front edges were we had our slots facing down and added four more 1 x at top bottom and even across between, we added header and footer boards across top and bottom of these. This formed a set of frame works that we then screwed to two sides of our closet ( channels up & outward ). This gave use a place were we could slide dowels into across the gap. we took our towels and wash clothe sets and hung them on dowels and then into the these wracks. So now we no longer have to fold towels. They come out of the drier baskets go over a dowel and onto the wrack in a matter of seconds. and we store many more towels this way in a much smaller foot print, with better access. And now at the back of our closet we have the rest of our stuff in plastic and wicker tubs and baskets. with labels for everything. Bottles have a shelf wrack of their own on inside and top half of the door. and on the bottom of the door is our laundry bag and wrack made of old sea bag and PVC frame. we took the idea for laundry bags a step further in our five year old's room were we built him his own laundry hippo that hangs on door back. it is made of a laundry sack of paper mache hippo head. he can just through his clothes to the hungry hippo for now and maybe latter at the basketball hoop.

For our movies we do that hack but we have over 100 movies so we have so many containers
Thanks.;)
Good ideas. But I wouldn't use plastic boxes, they somehow make me disgusted. Because plastic doesn't decompose. I would use cardboard boxes.

no, the utensils on the wall is not good because of dust. I'd put the plants up though
I have all my pots, pans, and utensils in a metal bucket. You're right about the dust, but when space is limited, you do what you have to. You just need to do a quick rinse before using anything :)

Dayum that fridge is packed with tons of sugar.
DO NOT use a paper shredder, at least where i am recycling plants wont take them and the bags with shredded paper go to the trash
