  • A Mechanical Advantage tool for pre-tensioning static lines, light lifting and cabling. Small and light enough to carry aloft by a climber for Mechanical Advantage within the crown.
Mechanical Advantage is approximately 5:1. No pulleys, no extra rope, minimum weight, minimum friction, quick, easy on-off, works well 'topside', too.
Designed to be used by only one individual using one hand only, the length of the handle on the Rope Jack limits excessive loading to avoid rope damage
Use Rope Jack to remove slack & stretch for lowering and to lift the tips on light limbs without having to break out the big guns, NOT for heavy loads!
Rope Jack is approved for life support use as long as another form of progress capture device is used in conjunction with the device. Never use the Rope Jack by itself for hauling human cargo

I have it, use it more than you think, it’s a great tool to have but I always have a hard time taking It off . I had to rig a Prusik and a pulley above it to release the tension, not optimal but it has work when we get it stuck , normally the ground guy that doesn’t listen to directions.

Great video! I had a video recommendation, I noticed someone on the channel had a Akimbo lanyard system! I found that interesting and was wondering if you can do a review on it, debating on buying a lanyard system like that.

Now! Imagine A big a$$ pipe that would slide over the Handel to create more leverage. 👌🏼. Dass money dude.

The cams will trash the rope, apparently, if you do something like that... So they say not to add extra leverage... time to get a grcs or winch on it at that point.
