Nice production value and good conclusion. As a non-iPhone and non-HTC owner though, it felt pretty slanted. Here are some clarifications, comments, jabs, questions, and citations of biases: 1) The HTC One M9 didn't sell poorly because its design was too similar to the M8; the design and build are stellar, and they're one of the biggest selling points of the One line. The M9 just didn't improve on the M8 much at all. Still crappy camera, slightly worse Boom Sound, still the HTC chin, same battery, bigger camera bump, same screen, etc. Plus, the hugely successful and substantially upgraded S6 came out at the same time, and that really ate into HTC's sales. 2) "A lot of Apple-esque features have been implemented" Like the design? Lol. Couldn't resist, just messing with you. Two-tone flash was popularized by Apple afaik, absolutely. 3) It's hilarious you call 99° "quite hot" for the 10, then call 96° for the 6S "certainly more tolerable". Both are pretty warm and you'd barely be able to tell the difference. 4) Did you clear cache and RAM before doing app opening tests and website loading tests? 5) The 10 has two speakers, one for a full range of sound and one for lows. Checking the decibels directly on the bottom of the phone is pretty much just testing the volume of the 10's lows. 6) Look at the purple flowers you're showing as you talk about how saturated the 10's camera is... The 6S looks miles more saturated in that shot. I think both are too saturated honestly. The 6S's colors do seem more accurate relative to the 10 though, saturation aside - the 10's video seemed very warm to me. 7) *holds up comparable selfies* " I'd certainly say the quality of the front-facing camera is better on the iPhone 6S" \_(^-^)_/ Between the photo and the video there was no obvious winner in terms of quality. All you mention beforehand is the 6S's variable light performance and 10's wide angle lens and OIS, so I'm not sure where this conclusion came from.
For the speaker test, you can check the top speakers too on HTC 10. Also HTC bragged about their audio quality on headphones, what is your experience with it?
+Himanshu Jagtap sub and tweeter format is hard to differentiate the sound with just a mono loud speaker found on iphone. It might be louder but not better. trust me. i have an m8 and yes its not as loud but the quality, wow, beautiful sound.
R3drift R8,I also have M8 eye :) Also while using phones You notice the quality not the decibels.Anyways we dont use speakers at their loudest volumes :) While using iPhone its very easy to cover the speakers, I tend to cover it everytime I use then I have to adjust my fingers but on M8 even if you cover speakers deliberately it doenst affect the sound :)

You put the meter next to the speaker used for the low end on the HTC 10. The earpiece is used for the mid-higher end frequencies. Also, holy shit, the audio on the 6S is AWFUL compared to the 10. HTC's effort in audio and microphones definitely shows.

Apple should start implementing SD card to catch up the Android phone, I believe that it's one of the reason why some people choose Android phone because of the extra storage specially they're still keeping the 16gb on every device.
HTC BoomSound on the 10 splits the audio between the top firing tweeter and the bottom firing low end, so by testing the sound on the bottom you eliminated half of the audio. Not saying this will alter the loudness, but it is important to know that not all of the sound is coming from the bottom firing speaker.

correct me if I'm wrong, I think the reason HTC 10 loaded the apps slower is because it's loading them from the SD Card which is always slower then loading from the internal storage.
They both load from internal storage. However iphone 6s has a new and way faster storage technology compared to HTC 10. In addition to this screen resolution also has some effect especially in graphic heavy games.

HTC has a better screen QHD period,better sound period "That's what HTC phones are known for" period ,bigger battery and quick charging 3.0 camera it is a tie ,but HTC 10 has IP58 certification meaning it won't be able to submerge in water ,but will take a splash of water no problem plus HTC was certified HI-DEf in sound in Japan ...I phone louder speakers does not translate in clean sound costing almost $150 dollars less for well made phone plus having expandable storage up to 200 GB in my opinion HTC wins this one hands down

Awesome review man, but I honestly I prefer the slower autofocus on the iPhone 6s than the HTC 10 because if you think about in a cinematography sense, the slower focus does provided a nice and clean focus pulled, while the HTC's auto focus system snaps everything in focus. I can understand that some people would prefer the faster focus system of the HTC, but as a filmmaker I prefer a nice, slow(but fast) autofocusing system

3d touch? Bold? Most iPhone 6s is users don't even know they have it... It's a passive function that needs more publicity. I think that the 10 definitely had better ergonomics. 9mm is really not thick. It's Thicker than alot of the other devices, but it also definitely justifies the added girth.
The 6s will be amazing if it has "OIS, Bigger Battery like a 2300mah and Quick Charge" that I hope will be the next iPhone 7 please apple. Make it possible

HTC did do a fantastic job with the HTC 10. The camera's have improved dramatically. Unfortunately they downgraded the speakers which was a huge selling point since M7.
You need to test the accuracy of the speakers. Run a test where the phones are playing different types of music (same for each phone) and see how close they match up to a recording on a microphone of the output.
I think for me the biggest deal of the HTC 10 is the DAC AMP Combo. As someone with good headphones you really start to value Smartphones with better DACs alot!
Dude the HTC 10 uses the bottom speaker for low frequency sounds and the call speaker for the high frequency sound you can't just compare it from the bottom speaker because high frequency sound is much louder
I got the 6s plus 64gb, I would rather have the smaller phone but coming from android I need at least a 1080p display. If the iPhone 7 gets a resolution bump I'm upgrading.

About your geek bench scores, the offscreen tests ignore the resolution if the screen, hence "offscreen", and dispite this, the iPhone actually beat the HTC in most of the offscreen tests. So the iPhone didn't just win most tests (of both on and offscreen) because it had a lower resolution, but because the GPU was overall more powerful. Anyway, nice comparison-keep it up

Justin Mckowen htc 10 has dual speaker with DAC quality , dolby processing boost technology which is better and louder than any apple devices. this guy was checking one of the secondary speaker of the phone so the decibel input is less.

I'm not really following the logic with these recent phone comparison videos...what's the point of comparing newly released flagship model phones with an older generation? Of course the s7 and HTC 10 are going to be more advanced than the 6s, they are a newer generation. Wait until June to start comparing models to the iPhone again lol. Just my opinion.

Awesome review man, but I honestly I prefer the slower autofocus on the iPhone 6s than the HTC 10 because if you think about in a cinematography sense, the slower focus does provided a nice and clean focus pulled, while the HTC's auto focus system snaps everything in focus. I can understand that some people would prefer the faster focus system of the HTC, but as a filmmaker I prefer a nice, slow(but fast) autofocusing system

3d touch? Bold? Most iPhone 6s is users don't even know they have it... It's a passive function that needs more publicity. I think that the 10 definitely had better ergonomics. 9mm is really not thick. It's Thicker than alot of the other devices, but it also definitely justifies the added girth.

HTC did do a fantastic job with the HTC 10. The camera's have improved dramatically. Unfortunately they downgraded the speakers which was a huge selling point since M7.

You need to test the accuracy of the speakers. Run a test where the phones are playing different types of music (same for each phone) and see how close they match up to a recording on a microphone of the output.

I think for me the biggest deal of the HTC 10 is the DAC AMP Combo. As someone with good headphones you really start to value Smartphones with better DACs alot!

Dude the HTC 10 uses the bottom speaker for low frequency sounds and the call speaker for the high frequency sound you can't just compare it from the bottom speaker because high frequency sound is much louder

I got the 6s plus 64gb, I would rather have the smaller phone but coming from android I need at least a 1080p display. If the iPhone 7 gets a resolution bump I'm upgrading.

you can clearly see that the htc had better camera. i already asked my friends (iPhone 6s owners) which one was better from another comparison and again htc winning at quality, they picked iPhone. why? because theyre just used to it and can't give up the fact that the other competitor is better.
