nice review actually.. not because I like this device , but for saying every feature with every single detail of the 10 I like both s7 and g5 too but I don't know why I can't get rid of HTC devices it feels like they have soul and I'm just into them I tried the s6 .. great device but there's something wrong with it , I don't how to describe it maybe it's just not for me
It's 3 Years now. 3. And I can honestly say I still love this phone my HTC 10. Phone runs like a champ. Still fast as he'll. Honestly noticed no slowdown. Battery lasts me all day and then some. Knowing how to take. Care of battery helps. Music quality is superb. Camera is still awesome. I don't even look at other phones to upgrade. And mind u it says it's not waterproof. Mine too a quick dump in a pool. Got it out fast tho. Still runs perfect. All metal so premium. Sapphire camera lens has no scratches at all. Best phone I ever owned period.oh and best part is brand new I paid 99.99 on a 2 year contract lol. What a deal.
Can't go wrong with HTC 10, great build, great multimedia device over some useless waterproofing, great camera, great software experience. I just wished the kept the front facing boomsounds and moved the fingerprint at the back
im using a samsung galaxy note 4 and im up grading to htc 10 i have used samsung for along time and im not really happy with this brand cant wait to see what htc has to offer on a side note i did have a lg g2 and i really liked it over samsung
as a m10 user I just find one of most effective disadvantage on it if you are lefty handed your pinky will block the speaker but still the best in my opinion

Man great review and you make me love this phone even more. I'm on Note 5, and I'm worrying about that only one thing, the camera. OIS is not good as in Note 5, surprisingly even the S7 fails against the Note 5 in this department. And not to mention the lights/sun flares you get in HTC 10 camera pictures, lens protective glass seems to be liking skin oil very much... This is great video indeed.

About the phone...I have it now for two weeks, and I just love it. Everything goes so smoothly and quick. There's only one thing I hate : They dropped the dual boomspeakers I just loved on my HTC One M7 (with beats). Instead I get a spacial distorted sound (one stereo channel goes to the bass speaker and one channel goed tot the treble speaker which gives a lack of low frequencies on the one, and a lack of high frequencies on ther other. When you turn your phone 90 degrees to watch a video fullscreen, the audio sounds really weird, hearing low onthe right, and high on the left ! But that's my only complain !

This is my favorite phone, but I still feel they shouldn't have touched the IR blasters for remote controlling and wouldn't it be cool if it could be wirelessly charged?
The speakers on the 10 are definitely stereo and sound great but having one stereo channel going to a tweeter only and the other channel to a woofer doesn't seem right. You may miss out on some of the sound.

Thanks for the review. I bought the unlocked version that came with high res audio earphones and the quality is top. Overall I'm happy with this phone.. The battery life is very good. It feels good to be back go android after using ios for the past 5 months.
Great review. I'm loving my 10 so far, two weeks in. I do want to point out that while you get to record stereo audio for video, you won't have access to stereo recording natively for audio recording apps that offer it, like the "Hi-Q mp3" recorder I use regularly. I am personally most disappointed about this lack. Other than that it's pretty sweet, this phone.

HTC 10 is the best phone for 2016, I've been using this for a month now and I never faced any issues on the device, super fast and super smooth not like Samsung which is super fast on the first 3 months..Poor touchwiz..Waterproofing doesn't make sense at all but yeah listening to music does a lot better than waterproofing the device..Fantastic job Dru!!! OMG! Finally a tech reviewer that appreciates realistic color on the screen. When it comes to sound and true color HTC is head and shoulders above the competition.
I bought the htc 10 three days back...it might be too soon to tell but i must say i have having the best experience with a smartphone so far..i am loving it.. previously i used LG G3 for two years but after the common display issue i had to get a new phone.. My only concern right now is the non-user replaceable battery...It uses a li po battery that has a life time of about 300-400 recharge cycles...that means if i recharge once daily the battery may die after 1 -1.5 years of usage. Given the money i have invested..i would want my phone to last longer..what could i do in this regard? What would be your opinion about my thoughts... Thanks.

I've had mine for almost a year now and use the crap out of it for tasks such as photo and image editing, music and sound editing, video editing, gaming, social networking, and even some business correspondence...I've got it pretty loaded with apps, and it still performs with no lag whatsoever! With the Nougat upgrade, it works even better! As far as power and productivity are concerned, it's still a beast! It's almost like having a compact phablet! Oh, and I forgot - the on-board DAC and headphone amp are absolutely killer through my Pro Sennheisers! The newer U11 is good, but not good enough to trade my 10 in for... No way! Oh, and one more thing...I like your reviews, so I went and subscribed...A shame I hadn't heard of you until now, but you're right up there with "Mr. Mobile", Mike Fisher!

Does your HTC 10(both) vibrates when call connects? like heptic feedback that other side of caller answered your call? I've HTC 10 US unlocked version and it does not but other part of world with unlocked HTC 10 says it vibrates.

Go for it you wont regret it I upgraded from the m8 as well and speaker although not as loud are still very good as the tweeter is front facing with the woofer downward speaker and as far as quality is concerned it sounds better and is better in every way performance, display, camera, headphone audio and battery life.
I love the silver color on the back, but I only find them with a white front. Where can I get the one with a black front and silver back? Was this an exclusive?
My phones buttons ( which aren't really buttons cuz you don't press them) for some reason, aren't working.. My phone fell on its back and now it's like this.. Everything works perfectly except the recent apps and back buttons.. Just nothing happens when I press them. So, you guys think that I should take it to the shop I bought it from for the warranty or is there anything I can try first?

Thinking about switching overfrom Galaxy S6 Edge Plus to the HTC 10. Tired of all the noise about the Galaxies. There are a lot of fluff on these phones i dont need an use. Music is what im about and HTC 10 is that phone. I will have to order it from T Moble because they are out of them in the store but that should only take about one day.
Have you had any issues with the top portion of your screen not being responsive? Mine went bad a few months ago. Basically if I'm in an app or Chrome and try to access something at the top of the screen I have to turn the phone in landscape in order to to do so. Just curious. Thanks.
Switched from M8 to the 10 The first things that i noticed were.. I don't know why but it feels a lot lighter than the M8 It's display is very saturated and very attractive, the M8 display looks washed out next to the 10 display The camera is a huuge upgrade, it doesnt over expose like the M8 does in every photo. It feels thinner than the M8 It charges super fast. The DAC on the 10 is waay better than the one from the M8 And well, we are on 2016. The 10 just flyes
Im in the market for a phone in late 2018, i still cannot find a better option than the HTC 10. First off i really do not like 18:9 screens, the majority of video watching i do on my phone is twitch or youtube and the black bars annoy me to no end, this rules out nearly every phone made in the last year and a half. The HTC 10 also gets all the buttons in the correct spots, volume and power on the right side of the phone and the fingerprint sensor on the front.
Is the black one painted? I mean if it gets scratched will we see silver beneath it or what? And also tell about the silver one is it painted too? I am asking all this coz I always use my phones naked & don't want to slap a case on it!
+Saad Khan silver doesn't seem painted, and the black seems to be an anodization, similar to what you'd find on the different colored (non silver) iPhones. I think silver is safest!

Question bro! I currerntly have the note 3 so going to 64bit is gonna really help me. I am looking for a phone that can keep its soc performance. I love running full OS on my phone and run some cfd and other analysis code on linux and i do run them on my phone for time to time sometimes when I don't have pc access (yeah its not a full desktop but it gets things done) can the HTC 10 keep its clockrate up? Otherwise it seems like a nice upgrade. Worth it or wait for Note 6? Even though I don't use my Spen all the time, im gonna miss using it sometimes!

Have you had any problems with the phone lagging over time? Mine's been fine but I've only had it a few days, but another TH-cam reviewer experienced lag on his 10 after a month or so. Anyway, enjoyed this so I subscribed.

From what Ive seen and a former HTC user, I must say this is so far the best HTC has come out with.
The fingerprint unlock I heard is quite fast
and for the audio department, they never disappoint.
And it looks durable.

HTC definitely weren't the first or only ones doing that button design and arrangement. The Moto X, 2014 had it, too.

Chuck Zilla Personally, I don't need hifi audio. The LG bluetooth headphones that I have now delivers great sounding audio.
so does the htc tho but none of the above is gonna give you hifi through bluetooth

what program are you using for the lettering on screen?
My phones buttons ( which aren't really buttons cuz you don't press them) for some reason, aren't working..
My phone fell on its back and now it's like this.. Everything works perfectly except the recent apps and back buttons.. Just nothing happens when I press them.
So, you guys think that I should take it to the shop I bought it from for the warranty or is there anything I can try first?
Really like this device, thankfully HTC finally upped the camera quality. Water resistant isn't a big deal for me.

I likedyour opinion on this device. the headphone jack is called a headphone jack and not a auxiliary port though. auxiliary jacks are for inputs not outputs

Thinking about switching overfrom Galaxy S6 Edge Plus to the HTC 10. Tired of all the noise about the Galaxies. There are a lot of fluff on these phones i dont need an use. Music is what im about and HTC 10 is that phone. I will have to order it from T Moble because they are out of them in the store but that should only take about one day.
I've had the htc m8 for the past 2 years and I couldn't be happier with it tbh.

i have made that change. im very content with my HTC 10. the camera is better and sound with your media is incredible. id say go for it.

Have you had any issues with the top portion of your screen not being responsive? Mine went bad a few months ago. Basically if I'm in an app or Chrome and try to access something at the top of the screen I have to turn the phone in landscape in order to to do so. Just curious. Thanks.
Switched from M8 to the 10
The first things that i noticed were..
I don't know why but it feels a lot lighter than the M8
It's display is very saturated and very attractive, the M8 display looks washed out next to the 10 display
The camera is a huuge upgrade, it doesnt over expose like the M8 does in every photo.
It feels thinner than the M8
It charges super fast.
The DAC on the 10 is waay better than the one from the M8
And well, we are on 2016. The 10 just flyes

Im in the market for a phone in late 2018, i still cannot find a better option than the HTC 10. First off i really do not like 18:9 screens, the majority of video watching i do on my phone is twitch or youtube and the black bars annoy me to no end, this rules out nearly every phone made in the last year and a half. The HTC 10 also gets all the buttons in the correct spots, volume and power on the right side of the phone and the fingerprint sensor on the front.

Is the black one painted? I mean if it gets scratched will we see silver beneath it or what? And also tell about the silver one is it painted too?
I am asking all this coz I always use my phones naked & don't want to slap a case on it!
+Saad Khan silver doesn't seem painted, and the black seems to be an anodization, similar to what you'd find on the different colored (non silver) iPhones. I think silver is safest!

I currerntly have the note 3 so going to 64bit is gonna really help me. I am looking for a phone that can keep its soc performance. I love running full OS on my phone and run some cfd and other analysis code on linux and i do run them on my phone for time to time sometimes when I don't have pc access (yeah its not a full desktop but it gets things done) can the HTC 10 keep its clockrate up? Otherwise it seems like a nice upgrade. Worth it or wait for Note 6? Even though I don't use my Spen all the time, im gonna miss using it sometimes!
I mean Note 6 will be more powerful with 6GM RAM, but the HTC 10 doesn't seem to throttle down

No removable battery, but it does have microSD support up to 2TB

Have you had any problems with the phone lagging over time? Mine's been fine but I've only had it a few days, but another TH-cam reviewer experienced lag on his 10 after a month or so. Anyway, enjoyed this so I subscribed.
+Nikka M thanks for the sub! I haven't noticed any lag, but if the other person had it for a month that means they also had the pre-launch software and have only had the shipped software for about a week.
HTC really made a great improvement. is it true they will be making the Nexus phones again?
