As a lifelong scaredy cat, I’ve always been so jealous of people who love going to HHN cuz I wanna love it too! So thanks for doing this video, I feel so seen lmao! The funny thing is I LOVE scary movies, but haunted houses and trails? No thanks lol
Same here! I want to do the scary things and events so bad but I’m too chicken! I looovve Halloween so I hate not getting to do this stuff. I’m gonna give it a try this year over at Hollywood!! Gonna go on September 25! I have the Disneyland Halloween event on October 23! I’ll have to try and squeeze some more Halloween things in between the two events!
I just went to HHN Orlando last week! (I’m a horrible scardey cat when it comes to chainsaws) 2 of the houses are past Springfield. I asked a cast member what I could do to get past the zone because I didn’t want to interact with chainsaws. They said that you can ask any cast member and they’ll escort you through! (I did it a few times) it was such a nice way to be able to still do the stuff I wanted without getting overwhelmed! A huge plus and honestly, it was one of my favorite parts of my visit. It’s so cool to see Universal doing small things like that to make guests comfortable!
It would be nice if universal had a system for recognizing people who don’t want to be scared as much. For example giving people a type light up necklace to wear so the actors know not to approach them in a scary way. Edit: If that person goes in a scare house though the rules wouldn’t apply.
The Howl O Scream at SeaWorld does that- there is a no scare necklace you can buy. It doesn't guarantee anything though since the point of the event is to pay to be scared haha
We use to do a huge h haunted trail around our farm. If there were young kids the guide would call out....ok kiddos y'all watch yourselves.... or something like that. Our actors would know just to barely move. Or just stand and moan.
This helps for sure, I'm not into all the icky scary stuff. But love the pomp of all the creativity and execution of the ideas all coming together. The actors work and the artists work, that sort of thing interests me for sure, and the food ;) of course.
Speaking of scaredy cats guide - I highly suggest ear plugs or something to help dampen noise. They save me every haunt event that I go to. Noises are what get me more than jump scares.
I had the opposite experience trying not to get scared in scare zones. In my experience if you make eye contact and acknowledge them, I always smiled and waved, they knew you knew what they had planned so they moved on to someone unexpecting.
I've heard if you carry a drink they also tend to avoid you so as to avoid upsetting a guest if they jump and spill their drink. When I went last week I walked through the first one while recording and only one person approached me but they just did a sassy pose for the camera and moved on.
I first found your channel years ago because I was looking for Halloween mazes as a scaredy cat too afraid to go myself. As a follower for years, absolutely love your channel. Much love to you 💕
I'm so glad you guys showed the vegan options as well. Also, I'm 100% sure the Hot Cheetos or the Bear Meat is for the Gen-Z guests because pouring hot sauce into a Cheetos bag is pretty popular. People at my school used to even bring whole sauce bottles to school for when they would buy chips off of other students.
From my experience, do not avoid eye contact. Look confident and not bothered, they move away. A smile definitely helps, even if you aren't feeling it for real lol. The scare zones aren't bad compared to the houses and you can still have fun without going in them.
Im someone who loves Halloween but hate being scared 🤣 I enjoy scare watching but not being scared myself so this is perfect. Also, the food itself looks delicious but some of the names really killed it for me. Like the zombie brains and the bear meat just made me lose my appetite by the name, even tho I know it’s obviously just creative names and simple food. But I just couldn’t stop picturing zombie brains or bear meat…
Been watching you guys for a while, just want to say how much it really came across in this video you guys were having fun. :) Big smiles, great energy, I'm so glad we could come along on a fun night for you two.
You know what the biggest secret is to not getting targeted in scare zones: Don’t act scared! If you’re clinging on to your friend or looking around they will target you! If you walk around like you’re fine they’ll leave you alone for the most part! Biggest lesson I learned in middle school lol
I would love tours of the parks where you did your fave shortcuts, areas for anxious friends to sit, tips for being alone in the parks, just favorite calm vistas
As a scaredy cat that is forced to go to HHN my tip is to wear a hat and or hoodie in the houses and just keep your head down and hold a friends hand while they guide you through...:) works for me everytime
If you guys can get your hands on normal Korean corn dogs, you should! They are usually the hot dog (and/or the cheese) and on the outside is sugar and ketchup. Sometimes mustard too. So good!
For the Korean style corn dogs in Korea they are mostly only filled with cheese and could even have potatoes mixed with the "corn" part and or covered with sugar/cinnamon and they will still put mustard or ketchup on it with the sugar or cinnamon
!!! I thought I just needed to show my pass to get in, no? As long as I use it on the selected dates? I’m a premier Passholder - do I still need to go get another ticket for HHN?
I’m a scaredy-cat who did their first HHN and loved it, but we went through a couple scare zones right in the dead center and I had such anxiety. Good to know there’s ways to avoid the stress lol
the Korean style corn dog is to have a hot dog & mozerella cheese & the coating is actually different (more cakey almost?) and it’s very popular to put sugar on the outside! And Tim for your reference - I’ve noticed this in a lot of food videos - for gochugang- rather than go-chew-CHANG it’s more like go-chew-g-Aw-ng (more like you’re saying “awww” in the middle) 🥰
Like this video for tips and tricks to avoid although I'm a big fan of scary and thriller movies/games. Hope you take us to see the projection show of the dark art at Hogsmeade of this year too.
We will be out there in a few weeks and we can’t wait to taste the foods and experience the houses! I’m a real scaredy-cat so these tips could be a win win for me!
HHN looks Spooktacular, but I know I wouldn't be able to go because of all the scare actors. Thanks for showing how people like us can still enjoy without getting to scared. I might try going someday in future. Thanks. Be Safe Take Care ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I would say the tip about the eye contact is the opposite, if you lock eye contact and make the scareactors aware that you see them they usually won’t try to scare you because it’s harder to, it’s work for years or just make stupid faces at them as you look at them
I have a question! So my family is planning to go to Halloween horror nights for two nights. We’re trying to decide if we should get 1 park day tickets or 2 park day tickets. Cause we want to go to the parks during the day but if we are on the island of adventure side would we be able to go to studios with just a one park day ticket?
I was also about to comment on this. I'm not sure about the weekend only stipulation, because I went on a Thursday last year. Yes, the info at the beginning of the video saying Annual Passholders don't get into HHN with your annual pass is INCORRECT. I am a Premier Pass Holder and included is one entry to HHN in which you scan your pass.
Tim, please tell me you are coming back to California for Knott's Scary Farm. That is, by far, THE BEST Halloween themed horror mazes, etc. Their makeup, scare actors, sets are even way better than Universal. That is something you must see in person.
I wish I could take notes from my first Fiesta Texas visit with my middle school friends since we visited on an October. (Just don’t look behind you) And I know I’m a scaredy cat because when I rode The Revenge of The Mummy during my high school trip to Disney World (and Universal Studios), I had to learn the hard way with a jumpscare gimmick where someone presses this glowing blue button that sprays air at unsuspecting guests ahead of you, AND you can even watch from the hidden camera footage provided for you! Whoever gave me that scare, I hope you enjoyed my freakout, and the fact I had to do the “follow the leader” thing with a friend of mine because I was too alert. 🤣
As a lifelong scaredy cat, I’ve always been so jealous of people who love going to HHN cuz I wanna love it too! So thanks for doing this video, I feel so seen lmao! The funny thing is I LOVE scary movies, but haunted houses and trails? No thanks lol
#TeamScaredyCat #WhisperSquad (cuz i aint about that scream life) 😂😂
I was 14 when I first went and now I'm 16 and I haven't skipped a year. As a used to be scaredy cat it's definitely worth it
Same here! I want to do the scary things and events so bad but I’m too chicken! I looovve Halloween so I hate not getting to do this stuff. I’m gonna give it a try this year over at Hollywood!! Good tip
I am terrified of chainsaws! Were there many outside of Springfield?
That’s amazing honestly. I feel like every park should partake in that act
I think last year universal had a necklace that basically said please don't scare me and it would lessen the chances of you being scared
@@seanrobbins7125 okay that’s good to know
It would be nice if universal had a system for recognizing people who don’t want to be scared as much. For example giving people a type light up necklace to wear so the actors know not to approach them in a scary way.

The Howl O Scream at SeaWorld does that- there is a no scare necklace you can buy. It doesn't guarantee anything though since the point of the event is to pay to be scared haha
I think a better way of describing it is that it reduces the chance of scares rather than eliminating the chance
Just always have a drink in your hand, same effect
If they have a rule that pathways / sidewalks (where there are some) are none scare zones to walk around that would be great 👍
We use to do a huge h haunted trail around our farm. If there were young kids the guide would call out....ok kiddos y'all watch yourselves.... or something like that. Our actors would know just to barely move. Or just stand and moan.

“Dear goodness, he stepped on me!!” literally spit out my coffee laughing 😂
DEAR GOODNESS, HE STEPPED ON ME!

Thank You! I'm not about the "Jump scare" life!🤣
I love how the pumpkin lord's mask moves. It's amazing! 1:28
1:08 Pumpkin Lord’s body language tells me he plays The Grinch during the Christmas season
Did anyone else hear the quiet "Help! Don't eat me!" as Jenn was about to take a bite of the RIP pop? XD
Fun fact, the horseshoe is originally from Springfield, IL and it's usually triple that size lol the real thing is definitely great though!
I LOVE the concept of this video! As I, myself and a scaredy-cat. 🤗
This is so awesome! So glad you ran into Peter and Kidra from Ordinary Adventure. Y'all are two of my favorite theme park channels! So fun!
I first found your channel years ago because I was looking for Halloween mazes as a scaredy cat too afraid to go myself. As a follower for years, absolutely love your channel. Much love to you 💕
As a scaredy cat…I appreciate this 🤣
did y'all make this video for me?? so kind :')
note: I know this video was not specifically made for *me* but let a girl dream
Agree

SPOOKY FOODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The horseshoe originated in Springfield IL. Happy to see a version made its way down there!
Love when Jenn joins! I have a very similar food palette to her so its nice to see what she does and doesnt like
Been watching you guys for a while, just want to say how much it really came across in this video you guys were having fun. :) Big smiles, great energy, I'm so glad we could come along on a fun night for you two.
The Pumpkin Lord's mannerisms remind me of the Grinch, and his fingers look super similar to the Grinch.
Pumpkin lord gives off Grinch vibes lol
Everyone just going to ignore Tims sense of humor when Jenn comments about her hotdog stick? Lol
Love the tip Trackers with keeping to the edge of the crowds and not in the middle. This helps.
If you have the Premiere Annual Pass you go get one HHN entry on select nights.
I love seeing Peter and Kitra!!
Thanks. Video is definitely for me. Would love to take my husband once but those jump scares and chainsaws would give me a panic attack.
You know what the biggest secret is to not getting targeted in scare zones: Don’t act scared! If you’re clinging on to your friend or looking around they will target you! If you walk around like you’re fine they’ll leave you alone for the most part! Biggest lesson I learned in middle school lol
I love getting to see the other side of the cameo from peter and kitra's video
I would love tours of the parks where you did your fave shortcuts, areas for anxious friends to sit, tips for being alone in the parks, just favorite calm vistas
Okay. You win. My official favorite HHN 31 video. I could watch this one with my kiddos (4 and 1). Thank you! 😊
Great idea for a video! I like the way it makes HHN accessible to more people and focuses on all the yummy food. Nice job!
Thank you for all the videos! Love your channel! Peter and Kitra are awesome, too! I love that I found them through your channel!
As a scaredy cat that is forced to go to HHN my tip is to wear a hat and or hoodie in the houses and just keep your head down and hold a friends hand while they guide you through...:) works for me everytime
This camera quality is top tier like documentary clear 🎃
Tim's face between 3:25 and 3:28 .... Priceless ...... says so much 😅❤
The Pumpkin lords street seems like a mix of Twisted Tradition & Scary Tales
Y’all make Universal food look so good and I’ve never had a good food experience there. 😩😂
The open faced burger was my absolute favorite food thing this year. So good.
Thank you so much!! Please continue this guide and for next hhn years to come!
My two favorite disney vloggers!!!! Please hang out more often love love
I'd love it if you could do this again for this year. We're coming from the UK and still can't decide if we should book HHN due to being too scared!
Lil Boo's Buns, sounds like a place I'd like to try all the Bao at.
I love how this is all about spooky 👻 food
Yay! So excited for this one!! 🙌 loving the spoopy content 😊
Great video, wow that pizza skull and hot dog looked really good!! Glad your having a great time ❤️❤️
If you guys can get your hands on normal Korean corn dogs, you should! They are usually the hot dog (and/or the cheese) and on the outside is sugar and ketchup. Sometimes mustard too. So good!
Tim's "heyoooo" made me laugh out loud to myself
Yay!! So excited, going tmrrw right after work!! 🫶🤩
I believe you actually can use a platinum pass to go in with one time access to HHN here in Hollywood 😄
Yes, with the premier pass you get one night ticket on select nights. I just went this past weekend on Orlando.
1:32 pumpkin 🎃 lord is doing a little tik tok dance 🕺 lol 😂
LOVE seeing Peter and Kiera in the vlog! Love you guys!
Kitra
For the Korean style corn dogs in Korea they are mostly only filled with cheese and could even have potatoes mixed with the "corn" part and or covered with sugar/cinnamon and they will still put mustard or ketchup on it with the sugar or cinnamon
The way you described that horseshoe, sounded better than any of horseshoes I’ve had in its place of origin, Springfield, IL.
super glad to have met you all that night!!!
!!! I thought I just needed to show my pass to get in, no? As long as I use it on the selected dates? I’m a premier Passholder - do I still need to go get another ticket for HHN?

Ok the pumpkin Lord is awesome!!!
Scariest part of Halloween Horror Nights:
The crowds
"Cheesy spicy chewing gum" 🤣 does not sound good lol
Bear Droppings.. Nice. Although Jenn dropped twice lol
I love the Trackers. They should do a video on how to not get wet at a water park. J/k
OMG I love horror nights so much I can’t wait to be there again. You guys are the best ❤️
Lol Tim and Jenn going through the scare zones trying not to get 😱
I've seen nothing to confirm this but I speculate that the Pumpkin Lord actor is the same that iconically plays Jack and the Grinch
Pumpkin Lord is likely James Keaton who is the main actor who plays Jack and the Grinch
HHN looks Spooktacular, but I know I wouldn't be able to go because of all the scare actors. Thanks for showing how people like us can still enjoy without getting to scared. I might try going someday in future. Thanks. Be Safe Take Care ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yay! Can’t wait to fly out there next weekend!
Have fun ! I'm jealous
This is such a great video! How awesome! Keep up the innovative work! ♥️
Premier annual pass has a free night on selective nights :)
Coming from a scaredy-cat that is attending the event in October and IS terrified (but excited for the food) I am very grateful for this video lol 🎃💜
I would say the tip about the eye contact is the opposite, if you lock eye contact and make the scareactors aware that you see them they usually won’t try to scare you because it’s harder to, it’s work for years or just make stupid faces at them as you look at them

Before 5 so we can get to Halloween horror nights before the gate opens?
Am i able to enter during the day with my pass then re enter with a separate HHH ticket?
Ordinary adventures and the Trackers! That's great
Fr
if you have the premier pass you can get into HHN on select nights
Great video! Just FYI though, premier pass holders do get in free, you just have to go on the weekends.
Howden is a tiny town in Yorkshire, I didn't know Universal had real place names in the wizarding world, that's cool
Peter and Kitra!!! I love it when you guys meet up. Hope you guys had a great time at HHH in California.
I think this was in Orlando before they left? I think Peter and Kitra were in Florida then?
I don’t like Haunted Houses but I love you guys so that’s why I’m watching
Awesome video!! You guys are the best!
Hey guys thanks for sharing HHN in Orlando, I will see the one in Hollywood, saw Tim at D23 he is a really cool guy
I totally expected a disneyland vlogen because of your stay haha! But this is also fun dont get me wrong❤
Why everything spicy lol are you able to get non spicy as a choice as well?
This year I'm thinking that now I seem to have the courage to try going through the scare zones with my mom!
Dear goodness he stepped on me😂😂😂
Tim, please tell me you are coming back to California for Knott's Scary Farm. That is, by far, THE BEST Halloween themed horror mazes, etc. Their makeup, scare actors, sets are even way better than Universal. That is something you must see in person.
This is so helpful! Now I think I could actually GO to HHN….not just wait at the gate for my not-so-scaredy-cat family.
Your foodie Videos are always my favorite 😂❤❤❤❤❤
Are the HHN themed foods available throughout the day in the parks as well?
i want to know this as well!
I wish I could take notes from my first Fiesta Texas visit with my middle school friends since we visited on an October. (Just don’t look behind you)
