Hello and welcome back to Age of Wonders 4! Smaug continues to stand alone against the world, and today the world shall face his terrible wrath, imbued with his newfound power of DOOM at 35:18. The King Under the Mountain's ex-consort herself sallies out to stop his surprise invasion at 37:22, Smaug himself personally ends the first of his 7 opponents at 1:18:17, and the Capital of the Traitor Blint falls to Fridda's might at 1:34:58. Alexstrasza will continue to lose territory until she submits, and the hunt is now on for the family pet -- thanks for watching! (:

After crushing three capital cities in a row, it is time to play whack a mole. :)
    Thanks for the storytelling. ^^

Really want to see Smaug ascend, and then come back as a hero for another ruler.

A quick google search says that this *is* possible, so I'll see if I can make it happen! I think I can turn the others off without kicking them out to try and guarantee Smaug is the Hero volunteer.

    The algorithm requires engagement.

On behalf of the dark algorithm, I thank you. (:

What I find helpful with the imperium changes, is grabbing EVERY wonder you can find. I ended up with 150 imperium per turn on turn 92, when I ended my last campaign.
Especially with such an impressive economy like you have right now, that shouldn‘t be a problem :)

Yeah, Wonders are now even more important than before. I love running the Wondrous Past modifier just to have lots of them available, but there's surprisingly few near my Empire.

Loving the Series so far here gonna say some cool combos and answer some questions you asked
1.Another cool combo for Necromancers is Shadow and Revelry as getting Revelers heart with plus 50% morale from all sources and wightborn combo to make your undead gain morale but be unable to lose it as -100% morale plus plus 50% morale from all sources turns into -100% negitive morale plus -50% positive morale
    2. Blink gives Evasion which means all attacks can miss the target including melee hence the miss at 8:00
    3. if you ever do another industrial playthrough I recommend pairing it with nature as Gaias chosen gives your Bastions Charge resistance and 20 health with some status resistance as well as making your race units charge resistant and in the tier 5 nature tome there is a pretty cheap spell which revives all dead plants and animals to 50% and heals living plants and animals by 50 health and since Gaias chosen turns your people into plants it makes your bastions never die since they also get aspect of the root to heal themselves and keepers mark to not die the first time they get down to 1 hp add in nightmare mounts for intimidating aura and something killer, Cruel weaponry, and the intimidating aura from the order tome of subjugation the enemy will get -10 morale each turn they are next to a bastion -3 per hit they take from the bastion and if they kill most of your units you can use the battlefield wide resurrect/heal nature spell to bring them back to life.
    4. if you want to deal damage as industrial use Glade runners or Zephyr archers as I had some doing like 20 damage a volley combined with unkillable bastions makes a great army Glade runners would even get mounts if you chose that and have a free action ability which gives a target -2 defense -2 resistance +20 accuracy against the target
    5. part of the reason the ai has so much defense is harder difficulties get increased defense I heard rumors that someone put it in there without talking to the team at triumph
    6. at 1:23:43 you asked about pure evil high they start combat awakened but after three turns it wears off and they need to be reawakened.
Hope some of this was helpful and looking forward to when your enemies shine in Smaugs treasure vault for betraying him

Yeah but you are ignoring the RP part and only picking skills based on metagaming which is not what Age of Wonders is about. 🤔
Revelers heart gives your units hoofs for legs wich doesnt make sense for 90% of undead themes unless you are playing as undead dryads or black demons or something.
Industrials with Gaia would maybe work if you gave their armor earthen colours? But wouldnt that still feel like BP oil company having druids as units? And intimidating aura also doesnt fit on nature/plants imo, i could see it on oversized animal units tho.

He already did a Zepher/Glade archer run with Olwe, so he's trying not to repeat strategies.

Thanks for the tips! As others responded, a lot of my builds are based on the character I am playing as, and I'm always trying to incorporate things I haven't seen yet. (:
Does the Reveler's Heart thing really allow Undead to be affected by Morale? That seems... unintended.

@@Fableheim Yes Revelers heart does make undead be affected by morale but only the positive side which makes them unable to lose morale which is quite cool
