With your chart of graphical relationship between f and f', I now know whether the f' line should go above or below the x axis. This was very clear and extremely helpful!

could number 4 be considered a parabola ? or does it have to have that flat horizontal line. because following the rules, it goes from increasing to decreasing
You lost me a little. When you asked if #4 could be considered a parabola, were you referring to the given graph (f’) or the graph we are drawing (f)? When you said it goes from increasing to decreasing, to which graph were you referring? The last part of f was linear with a slope of 2/5. According to the chart, if f is CC ⬆️, f’ is increasing. If f is CC ⬇️, f’ is decreasing. So if f is linear, it is neither CC ⬆️ nor CC ⬇️. Therefore f’ is neither increasing nor decreasing. In other words, f’ is horizontal at the end. Specifically, f’ always represents the slope of f, so the horizontal line will be at a height that matches the slope of f at the end.
