Its not the female voice, its the ability to use the voice to establish a presence with the listener/viewer, and to paint the storyline and impact of each play and what it means for the game's progression and storyline.

St. Aug needs some tackling drills bad! This game could have been a lot closer if they could have tackled better. Karr should have been sent to rep New Orleans instead. St. Aug clearly doesn't have the likes of Leonard Fournette and Tyrann Mathieu anymore.
