This is my favorite live performance, period. The musicianship is outstanding and the song beautiful. Freddie's voice is so emotive and Roger handles the drums to perfection. John is beautiful on the bass and of course Brian is as amazing offering up a breathtaking performance. I love this song by Brian, I listen to the particular performance as often as I see it on my feed. Thank you for an awesome reaction. It was good to see someone else whose brain was going in so many directions like mine does with this song.
This was broadcast live on Christmas Eve 1975 on BBC. The whole gig is incredible, it’s available on dvd/blu ray. It’s one of my favourite Queen songs, so emotive and expressive in both lyrics and music. The power play in the solo is breathtaking. I think it’s so overlooked as a song because it wasn’t released as a single.
Great reaction. Such an orgasm for the ears. Not their rock anthems but not their love ballads. It’s like a medieval knight offering tribute to a lady he can’t have. Gorgeous soul melding between Freddie on piano and Brian on guitar with John on bass and Roger on drums it’s just perfection. This is what we don’t have anymore 😢
I think, at this point, trying to place Queen into a genre is simply impossible. With a voice of nearly 4 octaves, Freddie could sing any genre. John, Roger and Brian could play anything just as Freddie could on his piano. Brian, also a good pianist. I'd like to petition the Rock Gods to add a new genre to the pool: simply call it "Queen."
thanks, Temp! the interplay b/c guitar and piano on this is amazing... and LIVE... appreciate this reaction... every member of this band was extraordinary... (Brian May song.... )... and yes, ended "as it began" lol
@@stefanhueckelheim Ohhh I've heard all of them, March of the Black Queen was the first reaction, The Prophet song is one of my favorites! Innuendo as well
Early in their career, middle of it or near the end, decades of fantastic music by the best band and frontman ever! Freddie Mercury and Queen! Great reaction! 👍This is my very favorite performance by Freddie. 💓
Nice reaction. It's always good to hear eaction from someone who is knowledgeable about music I always say that if the angels in heaven were playing rock and roll it would probably sound something like this song
If I see the words "first time" and Queen I am absolutely going to watch it. It's a beautiful thing when someone first discovers Queen. I think the music is more fantasy than sci-fi. It's a flipping amazing song. It sounds like something Pink Floyd would do.
Great review chick I was 14 when I saw this live at the Odeon that night Didn’t know Queen then I did there after lol 😆 Completely smitten Followed them most everywhere White queen WILL be played at my funeral as will who wants to live forever lol 😂 And my kids will just have grin and bear it Well ?? I’m bloody paying for it Right ???
I'm struggling to think of another big band whose first two or perhaps three albums are so undervalued and not even referenced by so many. There's lots of genius Queen before Bohemian Rhapsody! This is the best and real Queen for me ears: 1970s, heavy, progressive, nuanced and yet incredibly tender and romantic at times.
There are many great songs on those albums. - The Fairy Feller's Masterstroke & Nevermore (Those two belong together.) - Liar - Modern Times Rock'n'Roll (definitely a metal song)
Watching you to ENJOY this music makes my heart leep in joy!! I like that you are able to explain on one hand technical what happens and emotionally - that is a seldon gift you make to us Please: never stop showing us your joy, suprise and love for music - It is great! (I hope you upload here when you did the reactions in Twitch (as many of us -I believe- whats to see you react to Queen/ Queen II even if we are not free at time to see it on Twitch)
QUEEN is the best. There is nobody like FREDDIE and his VOICE. Go down the QUEEN rabbit hole and you'll be amazed. RIP FREDDIE MERCURY 11/24/1991, 1946-1991 you are missed ❤❤❤
Awesome reaction. No the studio version sounds nothing like this. It doesn't even have a Piano, this live version gives the biggest goosebumps but the studio version is really its own thing. They have an Album called ''On Air'' where its recordings from BBC Sessions and there they also played White Queen, but the thing with these BBC sessions is they sound just like from their Studio and so that BBC Session version is a mix between the song that's on the Queen II album and their live performances of White Queen, its like if you would make the live version sound like the studio version. Very interesting.
'...just really starting out live' - not really. Queen had been touring since 1970, having been to the US and Japan by this point. But I won't argue with you on the 'outstanding' part, this is absolutely one of my favourite live tracks. Four people making such a glorious sound, the instrumental is just fantastic.
@@paulbloomfield8322 I meant playing a full set of their songs - but I agree they had played live since 1970, that charity gig in Cornwall was still nothing like an album tour.
I'd like to request a live performance from another band with Queen in the name: Queens of the Stone Age - Song for the Dead (Live at Werchter 2002), with an awesome band line-up including Josh Homme (guitar), Mark Lannegan (vocals) and Dave Grohl (drums) for that performance.
Reacciona a los jaivas su álbum alturas de machu picchu.. Completo..!!!! Vi que reaccionaste a vox dei con la biblia.. Saludos.. Ahhh Queen unos grandes!!!

A musical masterpiece. Four musical Geniuses ❤️

Genius! You’re my soul brother. I always feel that early Queen has a fairytale quality.

I LOVED your interpretation! I think of this as a medieval ballad. You got it by feeling it’s fantastical.

You should check out the studio version of Millionaire Waltz, headphones a definite must, it's a real journey.
Also Mach of the black Queen, the Prophetsong, Inuendo
I will add it to the list of the next reactions!

This song is written by Bryan about a girl he had a crush on in college but was too shy to approach.

Whoa, that sounds interesting! Now I want to hear both versions
For such a small sound production, a very cheap set and a band just really starting out live, this is outstanding!

I love John Deacon’s bass playing🤩
Great reaction.
Best I've seen for a,while
I want this song in my head when I die.
I know exactly what you mean by fairytale magical sort of thing. I've thought that for a while but I thought I was the only one who thought about that
This live is much better than the studio. Try My Fairy King from Queen II.
Please react to "In the lap of the gods" by queen (live at hammersmith Odeon)
Pls hear the "life is real" or "cool cat" by queen
This is a master piece ❤

Ahora porque hablas en inglés?:v
Jaja sí te fijas en el canal yo siempre he subido un vídeo en inglés y uno en español
if you talk whist Freddie sings you cant listen....
"Funny videos" no tiene ni la mitad de gracia que "vídeos chistosos".
Jajaj pues es la traducción exacta no? "Hilarious videos" ya quedaría como un poco exagerado
