£15 only for all that hard work. Tim Mantle you are a legend!! I downloaded your tempest set, which are unbelievable. With those you demonstrate that tempest is basically a flagship 6 voice poly!! I’ve purchased these P6 patches, but yet to install.
If I sell them at a great price two things happen. I sell more and you get a good deal. I can't understand preset designers that sell at a huge price for less presets, like they are somehow premium, they're not.

This patches are GREAT ! And it is a steal for that price. The patches are very useable and playable, lots of cool keys, pads etc... Very nice !

I was watching a couple of Polybrute videos, hopeing te hear a sound that sounded kindof nice, warm, or just had a good basic tone. I seemed to be lacking in those repects, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. Sure it has all the morphing stuff and effects and whatnot.. but something seems lacking.Thenb I started watching this videom and it's clear from the very first sound..this is it! It's got all the mojo and sonic goodness I was looking for :)

Want to buy a Synth but is kind of
Hard to choose between P6 or Ob6. I love Ob6 but P6 seems more musically flexible.
What would you recommend?
I've listened to quite a few demo videos and watched a a live performance of the prophet 6 and ob 6 and ive come to the conclusion that you cant really go wrong with either. however one is inherently more mild and tame and the other more in your face and wild. they both can tread along those lines with a little coaxing. for bread and butter sounds yeah the p6 will probably do a bit more including epic leads and huge bass, but the ob6 just has this massive sound and thats exactly why you would buy one. the p6 would sit in the mix better and be a bit more forgiving, and the ob6 will need some processing in the mix if you are going to layer a lot of sounds. the way i look at it ob6 isn't going to be the swiss army knife the p6 can be. its more like a fucken kitana.
I have an OB-6 and I can tell that the filter and the effects that were replicated of Tom's how the phaser and the ring mod are extremely musical. I have the Prophet Rev2 too and its effects seem less musical and the four pole filter is much harder to control than the two pole one. Maybe the Prophet-6 is a little more outstanding but you have to be careful with that. For example in the OB-6 I can use a lot of the resonance parameter without uncontrolling the signal. Remember the resonance is the same as feedback and in this case for me the OB-6 does it better. I make it clear that I am not proclaiming that the Prophet-6 is better than the OB-6, simply different.

Yes, they will work on the desktop version.
Nice patches, I was real disappointed with the prophet 8 when it came out, this sounds on the money
fatdog records it really is the best sounding modern day synth, if you're looking for a true analogue poly.
LF0 - TimPlease - Psalm37, really liked the patches you created on the Prophet08 a few years back. Likewise, really like the patches you have now created on the Prophet6. How do you find the two synths compare and how easy/enjoyable was it creating patches on the prophet6 compared to the 08?
Gordon Bennett thanks, in honesty I think the Prophet 6 is a better sounding synthesizer, it has raw power. Having said that, I had to be a lot more creative with these patches as the Prophet 6 lacks the modulation capabilities of the Prophet '08 and I missed that ability to add two lfo's and an additional envelope.

People chose to use hardware on stage because it's more reliable than a laptop. Serious musicians tend to stick with hardware in the studio because it's more tactile and efficient for creativity in the writing stage. I'm sure other people will Curtis chip in.

Hi. Sorry. I was totally on the wrong path. I thought it's about a new plugin. But of course it's about Dave Smith instruments and of course that's a different matter than software. I own many hardware synth myself. Please accept my apologies.
@@LF0 And then the most serious musicians will have the best plugins specially modified for them - for example Hans Zimmer and U-He Zebra HZ Edition.

...do people do that? I just assume tons of views come from putting up videos with content (Prophet 6) that people want to see...
I certainly have never gotten that many views on my videos - but I also don't post anything using new gear.
@@MIDERA well if somebody has 50.000 views with 1000 subscribers in few months, you know that's not normal... especially when his other vids have 400 - 1000 views after 4 years
