- This is just footage of me getting to the end(?) of Sanstale. Sanstale is an Undertale game where you play as Sans instead, during the final boss fight of the genocide route. You can kill them but they'll just come back, you can dunk em but again the human will just come back. So I guess the only real ending here is just to last till the end of the fight like in Undertale.

Edit Edit: Over 300k views and almost 400k I have one thing to say... Stop commenting about me not killing them! The game just resets when you do so there's no point, this is the only ending and I'm tired of responding to this comment over and over.

It may seem funny to some, but to me thats just despair inducing. This is a life or death situation for sans. Do or Die. The single moment to get slight revenge for all of his friends and family’s death. And within this bleak, terrible moment, the human suggest pausing entirely and taking a casual nap out of a reality he has no idea of. Hes giving it his absolute all and the human fr sees this as just that. A game
Because is a game, and Sans doesn't have real feelings. He doesn't have AI.

I wouldn’t say that sans is actually giving it his all. He’s more just depressed because he knows that no matter what he does, he can’t win at all. Even if the human resets, sans remembers every timeline. There’s no point in any outcome. It’s just either pacifist to enjoy the same surface he’s seen a million times until the human resets, or to see everyone he loves around him die again. Either way, any reset always leads to at least one genocide route, and because the route is the most exciting, the human will more than likely choose it. There’s no point in choosing, no point in talking, no point in existing. But you know what kill’s me the most? Sans is always smiling.

I dunno why but when the dialogue says "You complimented their ability to swing their knife around" or whatever it was and Chara just casually says thanks cracks me up. Kinda makes me wonder if UNDERTALE is like a stage play and when the player exits the game they all go backstage and chill or something, but Chara accidentally breaks character during the fight.
The end of Hard Mode in Undertale actually somewhat confirmed this which is funny

"Sans wake up! We are going to grillby's like I promised!" Knowing that sans misses his dead brother and that same voice keeps him trying even though he knows he can't win against the player. All he can do is try and get them to reset the game, just so he could he see his brother and friends again. Being a self aware video game character is rough.

I like this one a lot. It shows how Sans is always in a losing battle no matter what. Sure, he can kill the human, but they just load their save, and if Sans doesn't, he dies. No matter what, Sans can never win this fight.
The only ways he could stop the human is if the human gets bored or guilty and resets for good . Or some kind of miracle happens - which is next to impossible. In conclusion chances of him winning is almost zero (that is if someone helps him in some way)

This is so sad. The name says itself. Your losing hope. No matter what you do, you can’t win. All you can do is anger the human and stall them, knowing they will just be back if you kill them. No matter what you do, you won’t win. It’s called losing hope because the only way he can truly stop the human is them to either get bored and reset, or for them to feel guilty and reset. Truly depressing if you ask me.

It feels weird to find this so nostalgic now...
I love the sprites in this (except chara having two stripes instead of one that bugs me),
the music really sets the mood for how meaningless it is for Sans to fight, knowing that nothing he does even matters.
Though I think the creator made Chara's dialogue a _little_ too excessive. Though I guess it makes sense for Chara to act like a hardass since they seem like the kind of kid to try and act all intimidating.
Chara isn’t the type to relish and brag about killing to Sans. You’re in genocide because you’re bored and want to see new dialogue, and Chara begrudgingly tags along because they liked getting stronger. That’s really it.
Because I'm a cutrious little goblin, I decided to put the music through Audacity to hear what the music is. It's Toriel's theme with Flowey's theme over it.

I love how sinister this is compared to other fangames. The dialogue here is very disheartening and depressing. It’s less of a “face against a genocidal monster” and more of “being bullied and abused and there is nothing you can do about it.”
The dialogue from Chara is just so blunt, extreme, and so distant from reality and I love it.

He knows that he's just a toy a toy in which many children uses often and Frisk is one of them force to kill everyone that he/she met on his/her journey and the she/he and Sans always knew it's just going to be reset again and again
Flowey said that Frisk is not the one who restarts the game, but the player (referring to this as the person behind a screen, someone outside that world) "Let Frisk be happy, let Frisk live their life"
It is sad when we realize that Sans and Frisk know their situation ... and that the two are nothing more than disposable puppets, toys manipulated by a puppeteer...

We were the ones in control, and we used it unwisely. We committed genocide on an entire civilization, nay, an entire reality, because we were curious about what would happen. Nobody told us specifically that we should do that, the exception being Flowey, who tried to kill us in the very beginning. We did this entirely by our own choice, and we could’ve stopped, reset, and gone back at any time up until the end. Hell, we could’ve just put the game down after the true pacifist ending and let everyone have their happy ending... but no. I bet most of the people who blindly played this game gave in to the temptation, let the little voice that said, “what if I killed everyone?” ...Win. That little voice in our mind was Chara. And we were the true villain, the true monster for giving into that temptation, listening to Chara, and holding her hand as we carved a bloody and dusty path through the entire Underground with her by our side. We’re to blame for their suffering.
And there’s nothing we can do to undo our actions.
Coming back to this, considering I have done 3 genocide routes just makes it so depressing and now I feel heavy guilt.. Further into the fight as well, you can hear FALLEN DOWN, but its so slowed down and faint, it.. Really changes the perspective and view of everything. Well done.

Btw guys, in this fangame sans has an special hability that nobody seems to know u cant do, you can save the game literally wherever u like to (in the middle of a turn, your attack, chara's attack, even in the game over screen) pressing the key 1, and load the game using the key 2, chara seems to react to you doing this.
This changes the meaning of the game completely, turning it into a battle of determination, since you can now dodge the attacks much easier and continue as long as you want. I bet that just maybe you can beat the fangame by making chara give up, but I see it highly doubtable.

The theme music here is underrated, it totally captures Chara's dead emotion during the entirety of the genocide run. I like this a lot.

You can try to mercy (called "dunk" by the game), but "the human" just ignores it. Apparently it can work at a certain point, but the battle just restarts.

This is freaking sad, especially when you realize that Sans is lazy because he’s a serious existentialist. He can see the timelines, but he has no real control over them. He’s at the mercy of the player and the player is trying to kill him, and he knows that even if he dies and the human wins, it’s not enough- especially if Frisk gives Chara their soul.

This makes complete sense as to how Sans’ perspective would be in Genocide.
For the player, it's the climax for the entire build up for the Genocide route they had in mind since the beginning. Megalovania plays as you feel determined to beat the last person in your way to complete the playthrough, staying determined for one shot on Sans.
For Sans, it's where he got in the way of a psychopath with the power to override timelines, to be able to kill all the people that Sans loves, as much as he wants, over and over and over again. There's no longer any winning situation for him in this timeline. If he lives, he lives alone in the underground forever. Never to be able to escape. If he dies, the player goes on to kill everything else that's left. It's a depressing day where no outcome for him is in his favour. If he even gets hit once, he'll die.
