STORY FOURTEEN: Nature is teaching me to embrace change (and I've got a big one right now!)

I'm in the middle of making a really big change with my photography business!!! And since I'm not exactly someone who enjoys change (i.e., TERRIFIED of it!), I took some time this week to meditate on how amazing it is that the seasons change all around us. We wouldn't have the beautiful fall season or a snowy winter if it weren't for constant changes taking place. We wouldn't have pink buds in the spring and vibrant red leaves in the fall without change. And I'm so glad for it because our world is SO amazing! So now I just need to learn to embrace change in my own life : )

We had pet portraits done a few years ago and I’m so glad we did. They caught something that we never could have. You certainly have a gift for capturing beauty.

I can really relate to what you were saying about weddings. I was a wedding manager/planner/decorator for 10 years & the pressure is real! I have Lupus & the pressure of needing to be present on wedding days, which was almost every weekend, got to be too much to manage. I never missed a wedding, but it usually took me 2 or 3 of recuperation to survive them. I haven’t done them now in 6 years now & after the first year of my “retirement” from them, my Lupus went into remission, where it has been ever since. Stress makes us sick, so I am very happy for your decision. I honestly believe that when we let go of something that is no longer serving us, we open the doors for new & usually better things to come in. I am sending you love & light for your new journey. ♥️🌈

I’m in the middle of a change right now, I worked in the medical field for almost 2 years before that I worked for NYC department of education for 6 years…. I now came to the realization my happiness comes from finding a career or stream of income/s that fit my life and lifestyle….I am so inspired by you living upstate and by yourself, I am planning on doing the same but I get nervous
I have been an musician/entertainer all of my life. I absolutely understand about the anxiety about being able to fulfill up coming contracts and obligations. I know you will be just fine at whatever you chose for yourself in the future……you go girl!

I loved your other video about your dog -his reaction to being told not to bite you anymore...SO FUNNY! Some thoughts: plant mums in the ground, they come back bigger next year. And I am so happy I live in a place that has seasons too! There are special things about each season that I love. I am NOT a fan of change either, but the seasons do show us that change is beautiful.
The challenge is to just go with the flow with your eyes open instead of shutting them tight and resisting! 😉💝

Change is good. In my life I've always found the change I've dreaded has turned out to be better for me in the long run. So even in the darkest or most hurtful of times I've managed to cling to the positivity of the next chapter but it's still scary. This video is beautiful and resonated with me so much TFS wishing you so much good luck and happiness in all your creative work life xxx

I too have a difficult time with change because I’ve had so many traumatic experiences associated with sudden change. I hope in my future that sudden changes come with positive things, and i can heal my experience with change 😊❤

im really glad i found ur channel.... for me life has been ever changing, its not always easy but seems to be my only constant. i truly wish u the best in all of ur endeavors, u r a beautiful soul. u remind me of my younger sister, she is a wedding photographer who travels all over the world for it, she has also started to transition into more "spur of the moment" photography, doing family shoots that capture the heart of who they are in their day to day after all the wedding to do so it makes sense, u really connect w a couple on their special day so why not provide that same thing throughout? happy change!

Change! It’s scary but necessary. I have to move from my home after 26 years. Live alone. No family in this country & single as a pringle. Finding a new home has been so far a challenge between Lower New York State and New Jersey…it’s so populated here! I am so happy that you are following your heart! You can do this. I think your cinematography skills came about naturally for you. I too have been afraid of change, but I love you the analogy of how nature changes all of the time.
I used to work with a man and one of his favorite sayings was “ where there is no change there is no growth. Where there is change there is growth!” Change is hard and scary sometimes but for me, I have always came out better for it. Good luck on your new endeavors.

All the best for your rather unwanted change(s), try to see it a lovely and rewarding challenge. I always loved loved changes, especially as a freelance graphic designer. Also as an aromatherapist and author: nothing is more boring for me than constant repetition. Especially proof reading all those new editions of my reference books, that really is the worst. Anyway, that’s how life is, you get regular tests, challenges, and new circumstances. I am absolutely NOT ready for winter yet. We are just entering fall in the mid south, and I hope we at least get three more months of fall. (one can hope.
Where you live, the snow is beautiful Here, if it snows, the city and its people do not know what to do, and the city becomes a slushy mess. But I am open to a beautiful winter none the less.
You could move to a climate/landscape that doesn't have some of these seasons or at least they're milder.thats what I did HAPPIER
