They had a live audience. Watch the blooper reels, the audience very much reacts and laughs in real time.
And so began our 8-11 year look into the most toxic relationship on TV. The nicest, if exceedingly passive aggressive, man on Earth being dragged down by the most acidic woman to plague daytime television.
Somewhere there's a reality with the show, "Will & Jack" where Grace was never involved, and we instead got to see everyone else's lives play out.
I don't dislike Debra Messing, I just really hate watching Grace.
