    Great update! Love the mood lights and you can make your own colors! You both look so happy! Being back in your home, having the past several months behind you and moving forward to doing the things you love most is the 💣! Soon to be back mining again but you have to wait for the weather to warm up!

    You can get a "vented" propane heater. It can be like a wood burning looking stove with a flue or it can be something like a diesel heater, only it burns propane.

      They still produce lots of moisture. Try diesel heater you will never go back and much cheaper to run,

    We bought a German diesel heater before we started our van build. It was very difficult to start up. Just kept coming up with a glow plug error. By the time we installed it and tries it, the warranty was done. We bought a chinese diesel heater for a fraction of the cost. Working good so far.

    Another interesting video - good to know you can stay warm. I remember being surprised to see (when I watch your video building out the van) that you put insulation in the van - that was a good idea, I'm sure it helps keep you warm and toasty too. I like that you don't have to get out of bed in the cold to turn on the heater! That's a definite "plus" :)

    Wow, my heating cost for 4,000 sq feet 2 story home living on the north face of Pikes Peak, Colorado runs me about $50 per month in the winter. I do not use a fireplace. But it is a well insulated home. I can't imagine paying more. Glad you are up and about. Be healthy, stay safe and many blessings, Morgan

      That's an amazing price for heating! Way better than the average home - before van life it was more affordable for us as well at our apartment (modern central air) and then at our families house where we labored for wood but it was free. We can't wait to visit Colorado it's high on our list to spend time hiking, exploring and of course looking for minerals!

    There are propane heaters (atwoodn etc) that have venting (no fumes indoors). The issue with propane is more difficulty with refueling if you have an onboard fixed propane tank.

    Do you have a link for the diesel heater you purchased? Do you have any problem spilling when you fill up inside the van like that?

    Does living mobile effect your benefits? I'm working on van life and am worried about losing my benefits .😢

    that's all nice but where do you get the power supply to run it all night? That will drain your battery.

    • @NicholetteBrian
      @NicholetteBrian  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@marks6663 we built an electrical system that runs indefinitely (well, unless it’s cloudy for over a week at a time - then we have to charge by driving or plugging into the grid.) the heater is pretty minimal draw on our batteries though - once it’s running it takes a couple amps an hour - less than our fridge. That’s why these diesel heaters are so great for van life or rv life! Going into our 3rd winter using the same one and we have never been cold or needed to sleep in different clothes than we do in the summer months so we highly recommend it.

    You have the exact same diesel heater I have. I live in a 16' box van. And that diesel heater blasts me out of here and I have the 5kw heater.
