During her time in wwe, fans connected to her by just being herself and not giving a damn about what other people think of her. She's super talented whether it's on the ring, on the mic, even her character as crazy. I was amazed that she has the ability to make her visions into reality. Which is rare for people to have. I am so happy that she persevered in life even if obstacles come through but still manages to fight at the end.

WWE did not have a single woman wrestler T-Shirt for something like a decade (since the Lita/Trish days) until this amazing woman got so over they had no choice but to give her one, and her merch sold so damn well now almost all Female Superstars in WWE have T-Shirts and other various merch.

I’m so happy to hear from AJ again! She’s the absolute reason why I wanted to be in the WWE when I was younger. Of course when she left I didn’t know what to do with myself because I knew she didn’t have social media and couldn’t keep up with what she was doing (only until recently I found out she has IG I think). But wow thanks you guys for having AJ on here, seeing her after 5-6 years of not knowing what she was up too and knowing now that she’s doing good is an awesome feeling. + I’m going to buy myself a copy of her book(s) for Christmas! I still want to support her with her new career as an author. I feel like the most of the women wrestlers or divas as they were called from that time like Kelly Kelly, Maria and many others were just created as a sex bomb model characters. Obviously it was working and gave them money so they just expected every single wrestler to be like that even if its totally opposite of them in real life. Divas x male wrestlers was like 90% of the storylines back then, Edge literally humped Lita in the middle of the ring but you dont see that much of that stuff today. Now theyre all about women empowerement and lgbt and all that shit but not because theyre genuine about it but because they want their reputation to be good and money to keep flowing. Obviously, they didnt expect a marvel comics nerd that wears exclusively converse and acts like a tomboy to be a money machine so they just forced her to be a regular diva model. Even tho its fake and only because it gives them money i am honestly glad they broke standards and started creating new profiles of both male and female wrestlers to which any group of people can relate to.
Boy I've missed her. She's an amazing woman. Getting an obsessive character is SOO HARD especially in an era where women were treated with anything but respect. But she gave her soul to the character and got over. I wish she returns for amazing matches with Alexa , Sasha , Bayley Asuka , Becky , Charlotte , etc. Even a single match would bring a smile on my face.

I don't know why but every time I watch her interviews or wrestling promos, I feel like she gives me hope that I can do anything or become anything I want in the future no matter how hard the circumstances are. I really miss seeing her in the ring, it was because of her I loved watching wrestling.
I love this interview! The interviewer asked really great and insightful questions. I miss AJ so much, she came into the WWE at the right time. She was the pivoting center that started the women’s wrestling evolution. Fingers crossed she’ll come back one day 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm a huge AJ Lee fan and still miss her & think that a return to WWE would be awesome! But...I have mixed feelings about her returning to wrestling in ring due to injuries that forced her to retire...I would love to see her in Royal Rumble or as special commentator as AJ Lee has always been amazing at that or a role similar to what Paige is doing with Asuka & Kairi Sane...I just miss the hell out of her and would love to see her back on TV or in movies tbh.
When she talked about how much pressure women had back then when she wrestled at the time pressure to be beautiful or to fit in was difficult I completely understand how AJLee felt. She definitely changed the landscape of wrestling. She broke the mold and did exactly what she set out to do. I was bullied in high school for how I looked and I couldn’t get a boyfriend at all. My style was different and my look was different so to hear AJ lee say what was going on with women back then is so similar. I wish I could meet AJ lee and tell her face to face u have inspired me in so many ways to be me be different and don’t change for anybody!

It really got to me when she started to get emotional when speaking about what she had went through and seen for the expectations of WWE's. Both AJ and Phillip (CM Punk) had the dream, dedication, and passion for wrestling, but those were eventually stripped and robbed from them.

Well I mean AJ never left on bad terms, she was injured and felt like she accomplished everything she needed to in WWE that was her goal all along. She was never gonna leave because of Punk, well I mean as she stated in the book she felt like a child in the middle of a divorce during Punk’s beef with WWE. She would always be welcomed back anytime in WWE.

I’m so happy to hear from AJ again! She’s the absolute reason why I wanted to be in the WWE when I was younger. Of course when she left I didn’t know what to do with myself because I knew she didn’t have social media and couldn’t keep up with what she was doing (only until recently I found out she has IG I think). But wow thanks you guys for having AJ on here, seeing her after 5-6 years of not knowing what she was up too and knowing now that she’s doing good is an awesome feeling. + I’m going to buy myself a copy of her book(s) for Christmas! I still want to support her with her new career as an author. And I let go of my dream to be in the WWE because I’ve heard so many negative things about the company and seeing how the storylines are tanking recently I just don’t know about doing that anymore lol Good thing is though is that I’m currently training for the Army and when I get out all I’ll have to do is learn to wrestle then apply to the company since I’ll be in shape, and hopefully by then it’ll have better writers and management.

I feel like the most of the women wrestlers or divas as they were called from that time like Kelly Kelly, Maria and many others were just created as a sex bomb model characters. Obviously it was working and gave them money so they just expected every single wrestler to be like that even if its totally opposite of them in real life. Divas x male wrestlers was like 90% of the storylines back then, Edge literally humped Lita in the middle of the ring but you dont see that much of that stuff today. Now theyre all about women empowerement and lgbt and all that shit but not because theyre genuine about it but because they want their reputation to be good and money to keep flowing. Obviously, they didnt expect a marvel comics nerd that wears exclusively converse and acts like a tomboy to be a money machine so they just forced her to be a regular diva model. Even tho its fake and only because it gives them money i am honestly glad they broke standards and started creating new profiles of both male and female wrestlers to which any group of people can relate to.

Boy I've missed her. She's an amazing woman. Getting an obsessive character is SOO HARD especially in an era where women were treated with anything but respect. But she gave her soul to the character and got over. I'm a huge AJ Lee fan and still miss her & think that a return to WWE would be awesome! But...I have mixed feelings about her returning to wrestling in ring due to injuries that forced her to retire...I would love to see her in Royal Rumble or as special commentator as AJ Lee has always been amazing at that or a role similar to what Paige is doing with Asuka & Kairi Sane...I just miss the hell out of her and would love to see her back on TV or in movies tbh.

When she talked about how much pressure women had back then when she wrestled at the time pressure to be beautiful or to fit in was difficult I completely understand how AJLee felt. She definitely changed the landscape of wrestling. She broke the mold and did exactly what she set out to do. I was bullied in high school for how I looked and I couldn’t get a boyfriend at all. My style was different and my look was different so to hear AJ lee say what was going on with women back then is so similar. I wish I could meet AJ lee and tell her face to face u have inspired me in so many ways to be me be different and don’t change for anybody!

It really got to me when she started to get emotional when speaking about what she had went through and seen for the expectations of WWE's. Both AJ and Phillip (CM Punk) had the dream, dedication, and passion for wrestling, but those were eventually stripped and robbed from them.

Well I mean AJ never left on bad terms, she was injured and felt like she accomplished everything she needed to in WWE that was her goal all along. She was never gonna leave because of Punk, well I mean as she stated in the book she felt like a child in the middle of a divorce during Punk’s beef with WWE. She would always be welcomed back anytime in WWE.
