Really cool build. Well thought out. I have had a 1976 crew cab in my barn for the last 10 years and feel terrible I haven’t built it out yet. This video is great motivation. Thank You
Man, you got to get after it, '76s are my fav because of the bicentennial
They did it right, New truck with all the classic styling, and they kept the classic interior. Perfect!
I think it is too
That's bada$$!!.. so glad these old trucks are staying on the road..especially with modern design and technology!.. Keep em coming.. I'll have to get in touch with you!
They are awesome
"Character, rustic, patina" buzzwords for marketing that make damage more expensive! Yay!
Yup annoying
Thats because these are the kinds of people who when the new wears off they throw it away. So "rustic" just makes it "new" again
It's easy to tell when someone is trying to con you into thinking something is worth more than it's true value. All these guys do is make others feel entitled to ask 10 times the actual worth.
Oh baby, that IS the Truck!! I have a 72 regular cab bump side Camper Special, and this would be awesome to do it to. Great job!!
Absolutely badass! I love it and would be absolutely proud to own, drive, and tow my camper with that beauty!
Stunning machine, very tastefully done. I get why people love the patina, but just imagine this truck with an off the lot paint job of the factory original color. 🤤
I had that same truck but 1979 with the 400/C6 engine trans. On military 36's in 1987 it was a beast mine sat alittle bit higher. It was a ex government truck with no smog in California legally. It was great except for gas mileage.
The best part about a truck like this. It's parts of the easy to get whenever you need to service it truck Since almost all the parts are literally just O.E.M. parts for a 22 Super Duty
I'm a GM truck guy but love the old Ford pickups -- that is BADASS -- I'd love one as a daily!
Coolest Ford build I've seen in 2 or 3 years. I like the idea and concept of this and love the color of this truck.
Live in Cheyenne, I clicked to watch because I saw the Wyoming plates. Not 2 County plates anymore, but pretty badass. Good job.
All I can say about it is AMAZING. That is a great way to mix modern with old. The back seat should be incorperated with the modern trucks of today.
Don't have Instagram yes I'm a old-timer lol interested in the tuck and builds how would I go about getting in touch with this gentleman thanks for sharing keep the great work coming 👍👍
I've had many Ford pickups, 55 to 2014. One of my favorites was 69 100 with 300 inline 6 with international 4 speed and galaxy 500 rear end. 4 th gear cruised 45-90 mph. Got great mileage at 75 mph
I really like that old Ford, my dad drove a Ford 4 door pickup for the railroad hauling people from train to train and sometimes hauling crews to unload boxcars
That is absolutely killer! cant imagine how much it costs but its almost perfect just needs some 40's :)
40s would be wild
Imagine if this was available 25 years earlier alot of these trucks Chevy ford or dodge could’ve avoided the crusher
We would love to get you on our show!!
Nice to see a Godzilla, as they are getting put in more and more vehicles. Bitchin' patina!
It is so good
Man that's a really nice truck, had a 68 f250 with the 390 and it was a bear to drive. Would love to have a truck like this one, awesome job
Looks like a great score, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thanks
The business I dream starting and build but I don't even know where to start haha. Gorgeous Truck man !
Just get a truck and start
Everyone used their trucks like that back then: tops of tailgates bashed in a little, bed floor all dented up.
I like it, I'm not into the patina look, but it's a very nice build.
Love these builds!
Bumpside? Never heard those bed designs as bumpsides. Now, Dentside... yes, that is what we called them in the 60's &70's.
60's - early 70's are bumpside trucks, the dentsides are the next era, mid to late 70's.
This truck has the line running down the truck bumped out, hence bumpside
I love it. I'd love to have it, but I hate the patina look. I would paint it.
I want that seat in my 03 DMAX. Love the build
this truck made a quick appearance (drove past dave) on the channel The Dirthead Shed at the end of his "ford f250 repairs and road trip to sema 2023 show" too
The style if the older trucks I like better. The truck looks great.
Take that over a fully modern truck any day
its the best
Would love to do my 78’ crew 300 in-line 6 4spd nice job boys 🇨🇦👍
Your i6 would get as good mpg and tow better when built than these new engines... at much less expense.
I just tried buying a 1974 crewcab, and the guy wants $7k... Roof is rusted out at the drip, floor pans and bed completely rusted thru, seized engine, every panel dented... It's fine if you want to charge for rare, but people these days try to take part of what you might be able to make it worth...
I found a 78 supercab for $600, and will work with that. Some people are going to die with their toys and never use them, thinking they're sitting on gold.
Yea it’s sad
That car just looks awesome 💯
Beautiful build!
It really is!
Truly the best of both worlds!
Now it has death wobble. Haha just kidding. Awesome build great work.
the camera guy is a sweetheart
Incredible. Wow; this is what I need
What a cool truck; KILLER PATINA!!
It’s so good
Boxwood green is my favorite color
I love recho mod now it needs electric start
It has it i believe
Love this truck! Awesome build!!
Great find & awesome rebuild .....
I wonder if there will be a point when people realize that all that modern technology is PITA when it starts to get miles on it and start swapping back to simple. Beautiful truck but I was out when I heard that door chime.
Turn the door chime off with forscan. Cost 20 dollars and can program almost anything you want in factory settings.
I love it I wanted to do the same thing, do you know what body style configuration chassis he used that fits the crew short bed?
Extended short i belive
This is artwork.
He's got the same fuel door as my 72 bump crew
Nice
Those fuel doors were ordered from JC Whitney catalogs in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s
So frigging cool!!
it is
Thats the last truck a man would ever need.
I want one!
Only one haha
All I can say is wow.
Yes
Just beautiful, a 4" lift and bigger tires would be sweet.
That would be cool!
Just gorgeous!!
Cool truck 🥶🥶🥶
How much
I would love to have that.
Sweet truck, definitely one of my dream builds
America 🇺🇸 🦅💪🏼🛠️
Awesome truck
It sure is!
My dream truck
Really awesome
Glad you think so!
What’s the name of his shop ? That’s absolutely perfect!! Thanks for the video 👍. The look is great, people pay a lot for that finish ! Good find!!
Jack’d up Trucks
So the body didn't have to be modified (stretched or widened) to fit the newer chassis?
Correct
So awesome, what company??
That thing is amazing 👍🏻
I prefer two doors but I love it😆🙋👍
They are all good
What a great truck.
I have a ranger 350 single cab 1979 and a 2022 ford super duty diesel 🤔
Sounds like fun
That thing’s amazing
What truck did that “super cab” back seat come out of?
Sick truck
I love this truck!
Sea pine green? Very nice.
Boxwood
did you create the patina? Also you are you keeping it protected? clear coat. thx what a truck
Love the truck
Bad ass I love it
We do too
Does the air bag work for the driver?
Even the chassis is getting patina slowly😂 2022 ford lol
Im in VA. I have been looking for something like this. Where can I contact these guys?
Email me SL@fordera.com
Can you please provide a link to his shop?
How much $$$ ???
Does the DMV see it as a 1972 vehicle ??
Oh yea, just so you can use the other term correctly, it's called a "Flair Side" for the Ford products. Step Side is a Chevy term.
do you build for customers ??
it was great until you showed the dash . That motor stock gauges the start key up on the left would be epic
Is it for sale or it was built for a customer
TAKE MY MONEY!!
I would buy this over any new truck if I could.
What year truck does the rear seat come from?
How many cubic inches is 7.3 liters?
Looks like your phone does the same crappy switching lenses focus crap my Iphone14 does....
sadly this is my professional Canon R5 doing it
How much they going for?
Something about old trucks with modern wheels just looks weird. I understand doing a chassis swap with a modern vehicle I get it but surely they make retro wheels at this point.
Isn’t that a fleet side?
I’m In Love ❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️
N.I.C.E.
He said f350 a number of times but the title..
The chassis of the newer truck he used is a F350 the classic truck he used is a F250
Now 12 valve swap it
patina = rust.. I don't like rust on my vehicles and would prefer that to be painted with primer and a few good coats of paint.
Pull that bed mat up. Pretty sure there isn't a bottom to it and someone wrote "No Step" cause they'll fall through the rust.
