HONDA CT 125 - IS IT ANY GOOD IN 2023?

  • This video investigates whether the Honda CT125 is any good in 2023. The Honda CT125 Hunter or trail cub is the successor to the CT90 and CT110, bikes of legendary ruggedness, simplicity and durability.
    0:00 - Intro
    1:48 - Bits I like
    5:22 - Can you ride a CT125 in a forest?
    6:10 - Can you go soft-roading?
6:32 - Can you ride on tarmac?
7:05 - Can you ride on gravel tracks?
8:05 - Can you reach ‘normal’ speeds?
8:19 - Can you do stunts?
8:44 - The State drink of Rhode Island
9:21 - Can you ride over bumps?
    9:42 - Positive reactions
    10:36 - Coffee time
    12:02 - Administering romance
    13:15 - Just using it
13:30 - The scariest thing to do on a CT125
    14:15 - Conclusions…
It is a special opportunity for me to ride a CT125 as they are not available in my country, the UK. Only 54 have been imported.
I aim to establish what the CT125 is like on road, offroad, on slow roads, fast roads, in corners, over rocks.
I am very happy to have had the opportunity to ride one. I like it a lot and I suspect if you're watching this video, you will too...
I own a C125 so am able to draw some comparisons with that.

As someone looking to get into biking, but living in London with no interest in doing long camping trips etc…how would you say this CT125 stands up against say a Grom (MSX) or a Suzuki VanVan. I’ll be mainly pottering around suburbs of London, might ride it into the city (but on avg 40mph motorway and typical congested inner city London roads) with the occasional trip on say a motorway to see friends who live just out of London (1hr away). I was torn between a Grom and VanVan but saw this and now completely confused 😂😂

    • @EpohDerf
      @EpohDerf  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Stirring your own gears with a clutch feels nice and the CT125 doesn't let you do that.
I've never tried a grom but would love to. However, if your choices, I reckon the best for rough roads is a van van (get a 200 if you can find one).
As for motorway, the CT25 will do it, perhaps even all day but that's not what it is for. If you can try all 3, that's going to be the biggest help in deciding. If you can't, get one rather than deliberating too long. The best bike is the one you're on! If you don't like it, just sell and try the next.
