    🐸 Easy! The cause of the blockage is insufficient maintenance by the Penetrator. 😉

    I would consider that a case of fraud by the original contractor or whomever supposedly did the original job! So sad that you can not trust some people. Great quick one today G. Thanks for the fun. Peace.

    When they ran electrical conduit under the parking lot where I worked, they had several lengths of plastic conduit connected together. They ran a pressure washer nozzle in the end of it and pushed the conduit through the ground. Your nozzle cut a pretty good trench. I reckon it would go right under the sidewalk with no problems.

    • @arniewingco3561
      @arniewingco3561 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, I've seen a lot of people use a pipe, and a hose with a good garden nozzle, cut trenches under concrete paths. Then backfill it neatly, and job's done 👍

    • @darkknight145

    • @nicolad8822
      @nicolad8822 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s what he said might work, but that’s a different job to the call out and maybe needs pipe and connectors he doesn’t necessarily keep on the truck.

    • @rupe53
      @rupe53 ปีที่แล้ว

      jetting under the walk will make a hole, but guessing it will be deep enough to make a belly / low spot, based on the height of the curb outlet and thickness of the sidewalk. Cutting the cement will allow good pitch and then you fill the last few inches with fresh concrete.

    As the nozzle cut a channel through the soil so efficiently I think if I was the home owner I would have asked Gavin if he could use the nozzle to excavate a tunnel under the path / sidewalk. It’s then a simple job to surface dig a shallow trench to join up the kerb outlet to the end of the pipe in the garden.

    Hey Gavin! Hope all is well with you n yours. My mom swore she would never watch you or Ollie's videos. Recently I've caught her watching both, especially yours'. She thinks you're adorable, LOL. Her words not mine, lol. Me n you are close in age so I think she views you as a cute young man with a water hose lol. Again her words, not mine. But anyway I'm so glad she has FINALLY taken a liking to drain videos. It's taken about 4yrs to happen, so thank you to you Gavin. It gives me and her something else to bond over and talk about. We're best friends but we tend not to watch the same things, now you and Ollie are helping me to change that. Both of your channels are amazing! Thanks to you both, have a great day Gavin! Love to Mrs. P and lil P as well. :) :)

    Penetrator: Hello from Nebraska, USA. This is interesting content to watch. I have a curious question for you. Why is the PVC piping used in Australia so paper thin? With all the issues your videos show with multiple pipe breaks, crushed pipes & the ease of which tree roots gain access to these pipes, what gives? I know "down under" generally has a very mild winter climate. Does that play a part?

    In a case like this, can he just put a "popup" or a surface outlet instead? I mean, that's what we do here in the States in most cases, as we don't usually run roof storm water to the streets, we send it to the yards and let any storm water drains take it if it comes to that much water.

  • @chrisbrackett9779
    @chrisbrackett9779 ปีที่แล้ว

    17:31 I wouldn’t think it would be too hard to link those two ends together. Dig a trench where needed and use your laser gun under the side walk to dig the tunnel finish digging to the trench that’s there and link the two. IMO.

  • @ChurchOfTheHolyMho
    @ChurchOfTheHolyMho ปีที่แล้ว

    As a temporary fix, would it be legal there to extend the drain pipe just under the fence, then add a "drain" on it - so that the water has a place to exit...? and then annoyingly run across the top of the sidewalk in the rain... I'm sure the neighbors would complain, but the jetter just created the trench to drop in the pipe....
