These days, many criminals carry pliers or wire cutters to cut chains of collection tubs or personal wallets or purses. In other words, premeditated crimes.

They sure are. Ringing door bells in the wee hours. Checking door knobs. Stealing mail, the list goes on. And in broad day light too! They don’t even fear a gun or cameras.
In spite of getting caught on Ring video, most porch pirates get away with it. The only thing worse than someone stealing you stuff, is watching someone steal your stuff after the fact.
So pathetic that it makes me sad to think what these people might be capable of if they studied and went to work.

@@nathanlewis5682 I saw a video from Cambodia where a long tailed macaque monkey rode up to this building on one of those mini motorcycles. Some kids were playing out front and the monkey dropped the bike and grabbed a little girl about three years old and started dragging her away. Luckily somebody saw and went after the girl and grabbed her away from the monkey who ran off without his or her motorcycle. Craziest thing I ever saw. It should still be on TH-cam. The Coyote video didn’t bother me but the monkey video was horrifying. That monkey was the same breed of monkey as those that went running wild in the streets in parts of Asia during the pandemic because people, mainly tourists at the parks and old temples, weren’t out and about feeding them. A Coyote will just go take care of itself, do it’s thing, but the city monkeys have become so dependent on handouts they can’t take care of themselves anymore. Some of them are so morbidly obese they have slabs of fat hanging off them. I started out telling a crazy kidnapping monkey story but there seems to be a lesson in there somewhere.

He went around getting revenge by helping other people being robbed. Some of them were attacked by the same people that had murdered his wife and child. It’s getting to the point, doesn’t matter if you have video or not, criminals don’t care cause they know the cops won’t do anything to them anymore.

It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I'm from Milwaukee and it's not uncommon to have someone offer to shovel your sidewalk or driveway at any time of day at least in my experience. Most people are really just trying to make a few bucks on the side or even just be nice. Sometimes if multiple people don't answer or say no they usually just dip out. It might have been something sketchy but it probably was someone just trying to do a service.
I was thinking the same thing.
When thieves are creeping around my driveway, I can trip my car alarm from inside the house with my remote. I can also make it blare if someone is at my door in the middle of the night.

We recently had two people from the group teen challenge walking around the neighborhood knocking on peoples doors and looking for people to talk to. After knocking on our door they tried opening it. The door was locked, but you could clearly hear them try it. I wasn't home, but my kids mom was and she ended up catching up with them a few houses down and confronted them on the sidewalk while recording with her phone, and they didn't even deny checking the door. He admitted to it and kinda mumbled some reason for it.
We called that n***a knock. Dude pulled a gun on us once, he was so pissed. We learned that day, don't play it in the ghetto.

I still don't understand how America still can be that primitive leaving packages outside the door and sending checks in the mail.
Here in Sweden most packages are delivered to an affiliate pickup center, often at one of the big grocery chains service desks if the buyer not specifically choose personal delivery or having it delivered to a box like Instabox.
If nobody is home when they shall deliver they are not allowed to leave the package outside.
Instead they shall take the package to that areas affiliate center and the receiver will be notified about that.
And checks are not used anymore in Sweden.
We receive our money directly on our bank account thanks to a very smart digital identification system and digital mail boxes for official mail.
America is a backwoods, non-progressive country. They still use the old Imperial system of measurements for cripes sake. They still call their police stations Police Departments. In Canada they're all called Police Services.

Probably had the old school mailbox with the red flag that sticks up for outgoing mail. Easy to see that driving.
I've seen people who have their mailbox on their house clip their out going mail to the outside of the mailbox. Or they will stand the mail up in the mailbox so the mail carrier sees it.
