@@grifffpinaa We women have a monthy skin shed. We hide this fact from the boys as to keep pur feminine and soft aesthetic, but yes, women shed their skin once a month. It's normal.

The rehousing gives us the greatest opportunity to get a good look at the spiders. So, thanks for sharing it with us.
The worst tempered and most stubborn tarantulas I've ever rehoused are my curly hairs (Tlitocatl albopilosus) 😂 Bellatrix and Narcissa both bit the paint brush and refused to leave their old enclosures
I guess it has something to do with their names....😉
The first one was so chilled like "let me sleep mommy i dont wanna move" the second one somehow was cute with its threat posture. reminds me a bit about my ex when i had to wake her in the morning xD

I found out if I rehouse in my bathtub my Ts can't /won't climb the walls of the tub lol so wen I rehouse my OBT I do it in the tub , it's like a giant catch cup(yes I make sure the drain is closed and blocked) lol

the creeping ficus should be a sturdy and slow growing plant it's not going to take over the enclosure , the other plants should get taller and stretched out over time, it depends on the lighting.
I saw a big spider outside and I almost picked her up! Mind you I'm terrified of spiders. But my first thought was "Kat would love you!"
Same actually saved 2 wolf spiders I have a huge fear of spiders but watching these helps but I'm still afraid

Hi Kat! Love your videos, they are awesome as always. My regal jumping spider layed an egg sac and it was not fertile I did not breed her(she was not wild caught either) so I just took it out after about a month and a half and she has been having trouble climbing so I’m starting to get worried. Do you have any ideas on what I can do?

It’s also not in pre molt, which means that isn’t the reason.

Thats sad ... If she outgrew it 2 molts ago. Do you maybe have too many at this point ? Is that why she was left in such a small enclosure for that long ..?
lol it's not like she was neglected, clearly she's been fed and watered and taken care of. sometimes they just put on some size and you suddenly notice one day, that it's time for an upgrade!!
@@tarantulakat I dont know how long it takes for them to molt or anything but seemed like she couldnt even move around in there 🤷🏼♀️. How often do you need to look at each spider you have ? Its unclear how many there are because there are always videos of you getting more and more.
I never said you didnt feed it, but if she spent a month or 2, too big for that enclosure thats sad to me

This might sound like a silly question but aren't you afraid of the slingtails getting out and breeding all over your home?
never had that problem, to be honest they likely wouldn't survive outside the enclosure because they need the dirt/moisture and water.
