    Hello thanks for the video, do you have anything for gen3 modules combined to create 48v? it is for off grid solar and wind storage.

    You should make a BMS that does cell balancing.
    That I would buy...

      This BMS does do cell balancing. I have been using this brand in dozens of different batteries for many years, as well as over 10 other brands. I can say from experience that JBD is far superior in its balancing abilities than the other comparable ones like ANT and Daly.

    Hi I bought greentec bms kit 48v for Nissan leaf battery how setup the busbar to leaf battery and instruction or videos thank

      Hi, the bus bars on the bottom of the BMS are permanently bonded to the PCB board. You just line up the whole BMS and bolt it on the cells.

    What is the remaining capacity of a module that used with the 100A BMS ? Anyway if we can measure the capacity of each cell then we can parallel the modules . In that case we don''t have to use two BMSs

    • @greentecbatteries
      @greentecbatteries  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Each module is 52v and the capacity of one is 1,721Wh, this is the same for both generation 1 or 2 cells and using a 50A or 100A BMS.. Raising the amperage of the BMS doesn't change the capacity, it just allows you to use that electricity quicker. I personally use a 100A BMS in a 30A scooter just so it runs cooler.

      @@greentecbatteries As you mentioned the BMS can't increase the battery capacity. It can do all the protection work so we can use it for a long time without damaging cells. I assumed these are used batteries. That's why I asked about the remaining capacity. It seems like 1721Wh battery block has 30-32Ah modules . Anyway you are doing a great job by giving another life for these used batteries.

    How many would be needed to run a golf cart with a 8kw motor and a 10kw controller? I only need it to have about a 10-15 mile range because I rarely go more than 5 miles.

    • @greentecbatteries
      @greentecbatteries  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Each module is already 52v and the capacity of one is 1,721Wh and can output 5,200 Watts continuous so two would be the minimum. A golf cart averages 150Wh per mile so that is 11.5 miles per battery kit (23 miles for two modules). However its not ideal to push them to their max all the time, both for heat and it wears out the cells faster. So the more modules you can fit in there the better. The Length is 11.9291" (303 mm). Width is 8.7795" (223 mm).

      We do ship to Canada, shipping costs depend on your location.
      The 100a BMS in the video was the last prototype and final version is being manufactured now and should be available within 2 weeks. We will set up preorders in the next few days.

    Is it possible to use in series to increase the voltage e.g. 4 in series to get a 192v output ? How would the balancing work in this case ? (I'm asking because my solar hybrid inverter has a 160V dc min voltage rating)
    Also the shop only has the 50A BMS for sale, is there a link for 100A version ?

    • @greentecbatteries
      @greentecbatteries  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No this BMS cannot be connected in series because it uses mosfets to shut off the flow of current if anything gets outside of the safety parameters. They ones inside the BMS are always rated a little bit higher than the maximum voltage of the BMS so if you were to put 4 in series and something went wrong in one of them the voltage of the entire pack would be far greater than the mosfets are capable to stopping and there is a high likelihood of it frying out the BMS and possibly allowing current to continue to flow which would be a fire hazard. The only BMS capable of doing what you are talking about are ones made for that many cells like an Orion BMS or ones that have many slave units that handle a portions and all communicate to a master BMS like the Thunderstruck BMS. Both of which are very expensive. Also are you sure your inverters 160v minimum is that of the battery and not the solar panels circuit?
      The 100a version is in production now and will be available on our site here in a couple weeks. Thank you!

      @@greentecbatteries Thanks for the detailed reply, I now understand the limitations. Yes, unfortunately the inverter only supports HV batteries. I will look at the work that Dala is doing around hooking up used vehicle batteries to inverters and using the existing BMS and safety devices / contactors in the battery pack.

      When you buy the BMS it comes with a QR barcode sticker to download the version of the app specifically made for the BMS you received as well as a QR barcode sticker of the MAC address for that specific BMS to pair it to your app. However the App is called Xiaoxiang Electric in both iOS and Android and is a logo of an elephant

    The horrible thing about used cells or cells in general is that you'll never get all the cells to discharge evenly. You'll always have one cell reaching the uvp of 2.50 or so while the rest of the cells will still be around 3.00. I always find that extremely annoying. Fossil fuels are still the best. Batteries are only good for short term use to allow for a seamless switch from the grid to a fossil fuel power generator when experiencing a power outage.

    • @fastbike9845
      @fastbike9845 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Trolling, or just ignorant ? You can't just buy a "fossil fuel powered generator" and leave it lying around. It requires maintenance, the fuel goes bad if you don't use it very often, it's noisy, polluting etc.
      You do know what the BMS is used for ...it monitors the individual cell voltage so you can pull out and replace a cell that is going bad.

    • @greentecbatteries
      @greentecbatteries  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      You are not wrong, there is deviation in capacity of the modules that come out of one pack. However, if you purchase our modules, they will all be capacity tested and grouped so you wouldn't run into that issue. They would all charge and discharge relatively evenly.
