I try to tell as many people about her as possible and let them know that they are missing out on what is absolutely an astonishingly talented human being with the ability to expose and release the soul like no other. I think we are witnessing something truly exceptional. She is the real deal.
@Charles Goodwin I agree. I discovered Aurora 5 or 6 months ago and can't stop listening to her. As you said, how she is writing stuff like this at such a young age is astonishing. As a 64 year old man I never thought I would like anything like this, but I am so entranced by her music that I decided I had to see her live. So, I'll be going to Roughtrade in Bristol on 11th June for her album signing, and then to a full concert at the O2 Academy (also Bristol) in November. I can count on one hand the number of artists who have ever rendered me this excited by their music and personality.
it's very cool that you have discovered it and have the possibility to listen to it, because the musical style is not as well known as the pop that is sung by the current "divas". the aurora is someone very special, all the part of her music is wonderful, from the melody to the letter. I met her a little over a year ago, it was kind of "love the first heard" 😂 Have you heard the album All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend?

I'm a 31 year old man and I'm sitting here listening to this song for the first time, just sobbing my eyes out. I can't put it into words but this song is just so... impactful. It really hits me in a way I don't think I've ever felt before. Aurora really knows what it feels like to be a misfit, and I find that very comforting.

@Leonidas Livreil You know that feeling when you see someone going down a rough path (drinking, falling into depression, suffering from a disorder, etc.) but know that deep down they are wonderful people who got dealt a horrible hand by their lives and the world around them? That deep down, if they could just be taken away from their awful conditions they would be the kindest and most incredible people? I think that's how someone could be "infected" and "pure" at the same time.

Been a year since my grandmother died of cancer. I was never close with her, or as close as I would've liked to be. I'm extremely introverted and I don't speak to people much, and I never have energy to meet anyone. That is what happened with her. On her last days she told my mom that her last wish was that I'd sleep next to her at least for one night again. I didn't. I wasn't there when she died. I still regret it to this day. I had dreams of her; of her talking to me, explaining about forests and fairies, and I'd cry and cry, and she would continue to talk while I would just fall apart while apologizing. My mom says she still sees grandma in her dreams sometimes, tells her that things are okay. And that she feels grandma's touch, like a gentle wind and like a spark of light, and knows exactly the feeling of grandma's hand right there.
This song reminds me of my grandma. She was passionate about forests, nature, birds, fairies, saving the world. She was a pagan, and so am I; so are my mother and my older sisters, just like grandma was. She never quite belonged here... in the middle of greedy and violent people. She was a peaceful human. This song makes me cry every time I listen to it. I keep seeing her.
I also showed this song to my mom. She told me this song describes grandma perfectly, that it's a beautiful song, surreal, just like grandma's soul was. I miss her so much.
I wish I would've slept next to her for that one night. Pushed my fears aside. My throat feels like it's getting filled with rocks when I even think about it. I have an audio of her speaking of birds... Sometimes I listen to it and pretend she is talking to me.
She died at home. She couldn't remember anything, she couldn't almost even move. Her cats slept with her. My older sister took care od her until her end. Out of my family, I was the only one who wasn't there because of my panic disorder and anxiety. But for that one night. I wish I'd been there.

Maybe you could be convinced she is human, because it is possible for a human being to be as ethereal as a nature fairy princess angel. I think seeing her as human allows us to realize that not all of us are so bad after all. When my father passed away from cancer I heard this song and broke down crying. I did feel it was about leaving this world to the spiritual world. I just hope his passing was as peaceful as I felt hearing her song.

1:55 I remembered when I first heard the lyrics, it doesn't make any sense but I felt different like it touched me, then the second time I listened to it I cried sooo hard and I don't know why a made up lyrics made me cry. I'm not even exaggerating. The feeling of being "an alien" to the society, even to your friends and now being able to go "home" really hits me hard.

Lately i've been asking myself why can't i just be as everybody else? To me it always seem like everybody else is cooler and smarter than me, and also people treat me like i don't exist. everytime i feel like i don't belong to this world...i would just like to disappear or go as far away as possible and just feel free to be who i am which i'm yet to discover. I've been crying a lot, for many things and many days...I wanted to end it all and go to a different world where people love each other without judging. There are many great artists at the moment, but Aurora is a musical genius. She is different in a lovely way.
This song speaks to me so much as both an autistic and bisexual person. I am different than most people and sometimes I feel like I don’t fit in anywhere. However, this song is so calming and makes realize that I’m not alone and there are plenty of other people like me. There are a lot of autistic / neurodivergent and LGBT people in this world. There are people who can understand me and personally relate to my experiences.

The point about ASD and other neurodivergent communities has a point. Aurora's compositions and performances does speak and reflect theses communities sense of feelings of alieness. Whether intended or not the effect is worth due admiration and indebtedness.
I think even though most of Auroras songs on the album " A different kind of human" are the kind of songs that you feel power from and they make you feel good, there is this song and at least for me it hits me in a different way, this is my favorite song on the Album because of the thought and comfort that i and I'm sure most of us can feel from it. I love this song man 😢✨ and I think i might be getting the Album for my birthday in 9 days from now aaaaah i just want to play it in my boom box 😭 i have AMDGMAAF which i enjoy so much, the thought of having "A different kind of human" makes me happy.
