I was 16 years old when my best friend introduced me to The Cranberries, I immediately fell in love with Dolores O'Riordan's voice on Ode to My Family. When I got my 1st job in 1997 I bought the album No Need to Argue, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? was given to me on my 17th birthday by this friend. Since then I bought every single album of The Cranberries, the last one being Wake Up and Smell the Coffee. When Dolores tragically passed away last year I was shattered. And now In the End and this song puts it all in perspective, 29 years later The Cranberries are All Over Now but they will always live on through her voice with the classics Linger, Dreams, No Need to Argue, Ode to my Family, Zombie, Animal Instinct, Just My Imagination, Salvation, Free To Decide, Analyse, 21 and so on......

When I started to listen them there was still war in Croatia in 1994,I was 15 years(old)young.You are happy man then because I see you didn't name one of two of her solo albums nor did you mention Roses,The Cranberries sixth album.Fuck if that's truth lucky you(you're not less of a fan(lover)of their and hers music,this is not a contest who has a bigger shlong although if it were I would win,I just hate to loose(joking),life probably happen for you in that way that you know have a few gems with Dolores's voice to listen).

Claire H yeah that bath tub . Sings if London hotel and a fight and says she fell on the floor . But when Dolores first announced dead she was found in the floor and unexplained death. Later we are told she drowned in the bath from alcohol use (look in google for first report) They always do give you clues before they decide to take someone down. Another music industry victim . She was a truth seeker and real soul at core. They didn't need her anymore . Sad but true. Just research a little . I'm gutted she is gone .

Dolores was, is and will always be one of the most complete, beautiful and charming musicians of all time. But now she has finally arrived to her home in Heaven. This video makes me remember also of the wonderful master piece of Virginia Woolf: "To The Lighthouse", which is interesting, because I think Virginia and Dolores are extremely similar because of their beautiful souls and profound vision of life and world.

Edit: The way I choose to interpret the song, it’s about escaping a toxic relationship or domestic violence. The violence is over, she is safe and she can begin to heal. There is a glimmer of hope.

You made me do detective work! The "scar" appears between 2009 and 2010. Going by this video that makes sense because that was a time when Dolores has long hair. So, guessing, yes. Her ex-husband was responsible going by these lyrics and the ones in A Place I Know. You are on to something.
