    everyone thinks switchblades are illegal in California but they aren't. switchblades are LEGAL to have inside of your homr. they are only illegal to carry out in public. possession isn't banned.

      @nutnfancy  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +infamouscoma886 It's funny how the market has changed. Now $140 for an auto is too expensive? That was nothing 5 years ago. I agree there are many great options for much less. I've reviewed an infinity here. But commenters here always bitch about Chinese Made product, support US only (while they type on their Chinese produced Apple computer!), blah blah. Well this is US MADE and it costs what it costs. Embrace. -nutnfancy

    Best auto knives for $22, Ganzo.

    • @apocolypse1022
      @apocolypse1022 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ganzo does now make a Microtech clone for like $50, its on DHGate...but the other stadard autos are way under $30 usually, sometimes under $20...I have 6 Ganzos, they are all solid, though I dont have an auto version....they cant be beat for the price in my opinion...people whine about the designs, but kershaw, spyderco, benchmade, all make stuff in China, and they are not price competitive to Ganzo at the quality levels.... to me they are the best value going, hands down.

    • @apocolypse1022
      @apocolypse1022 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have many knives, the Ganzos are put together better than my Spydercos....and I use my knives bro, dont just look at them in front of the TV.

    • @apocolypse1022
      @apocolypse1022 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no shame in the game....I get a knife, and keep an extra $150 in the pocket...no corporations have allegiance these days to anyone, all of the knife makers produce in China...I am stacking gear while its cheap, it wont last....I know whats going on Brohemian....trust me. You want to have a sort of sentiment for something that doesnt exist....march right into Bankruptcy for all I care Brotatochip.

    I do not understand why people in the edc world are so concerned about weight. I carry a buck 110 and a super tool 300 in leather sheaths on my belt evdry single day and hardly even notice them. These small knives and tools are nice of course but how useful are they compared to there larger counterparts?

    • @theindianreviewer1258
      @theindianreviewer1258 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Large knives are impractical for someone with a desk job. I'm a designer, why would i need a super tool 300 everyday. The 0560 is eye candy for me but I'd rather carry a Sog Twitch XL rosewood.

    • @healthyhappyhero
      @healthyhappyhero 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some people carry a lot of gear EDC. If you carry a knife, phone and wallet only then knife weight becomes less important. Add a gun, spare mag, flash light, pepper spray, multi tool and other stuff then suddenly you need lighter gear.

    • @charliebreslow4424
      @charliebreslow4424 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Indian Reviewer I suppose if one works a desk job they do not need such tools. I am a Boy Scouts of America park ranger and use what I carry several times a day.

    • @charliebreslow4424
      @charliebreslow4424 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      dragon166666 I still do not understand the concern about weight. My edc consists of wallet, cellphone, master keys to a Boy Scout camp, Buck 110, St 300, CRKT m21-14, 2x aa led maglite, fossil speedway watch, Colt trooper .357 6in. barrel, and my old buck kalinga.
      Maybe 6 pounds of stuff but with a good leather belt and a shoulder harness for the colt it all carries like nothing.

    • @nutnfancy
      @nutnfancy  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Charlie Breslow I hear you and yes, as I've represented here for 10 years now, many carry heavy knives. However I never meet them. EVERY gear check I've ever done the guy has either NO knife or something very light and small. So you'll have to accept that's the majority of knife carriers. -nutn

    I would like to add another category to this blade: Gentleman's EDC blade. For those of us who wear dress pants 5x days a week or more, you can easily run out of pocket space. Yes, you can clip a Spyderco Military, Benchmade Adamas or a ZT 0560 to ride shotgun on your pocket, but many times, you keep those for the weekend and reach for a smaller blade. This blade fits the bill! I would love to see a Gentleman's tactical/EDC knives review series sometime!

    i bought a bodyguard based on your review a while back but it was stolen a little over a year ago, i live in ohio, so therefore my states laws are a little messed up on auto knives, i would just really love to hold one before i go out and drop the money on it...being a kid and all, i don't have all the money in the world to experiment and take the loss...i love auto knives for the cool factor and the practicality, especially in tight situations...since i am not old enough to carry a concealed weapon, i am torn between this and a benchmade "auto" and from what I've seen at gun stores in my area...the benchmade's just never seemed as good as the piranhas, (our stores sell auto knives but they are only available to law enforcement)...I have my ways of getting the knife online and keeping it strictly in my house, I am 19 years old now but you turned me into a gear nut when my parents split in 08 and i was bored and turned to youtube...i blame you for over half of my purchases lol i miss your old table top reviews in that shady looking back room.

      Balisongs were banned because when they came to USA and other countries and there was this massive craze where everyone bought them and then (A LOT OF) stupid people tried to "play" with them and cut themselves up, not because it is easy to conceal.

      A "switchblade" knife is considered any automatic knife or out the front (otf) knife. Switchblades are not illegal in all states. The best thing to do is check your states knife laws, as well as the local laws. For instance I live in Alabama and I can legally carry any "switchblade" that I please, but California limits the blade length of autos to under a 2" blade. Hope that helped
