    I try to keep it 100% positive while at darts. Good body language, no negative self-talk, perfect sportsmanship and smile on my face. It's actually quite taxing and challenging at times.

      Yeah darts can be very tough lol, sometimes it’s a bit of smiling through the pain hahaha, but ultimately we love it😅🎯

    Ive been trying to slip into a thought of not trying to hard but staying focused at the same time. Darts can be the most mentally stressful games there is and to become succesful is a tough ride

    I listen to some music, smoke too many cigarettes, and do lots of visualizing. Approaching the line, I will stand there see what I want to hit and go for it. That alone has helped my game immensely. Great video, bro 🤘🏻

    The mental side of the game is seriously punishing, I’ve seen myself throw the dart side ways at the board sometimes at my worst, head just goes. Then other times you feel confident of hitting anything. People who don’t play darts have no idea how much it’s between the ears. The more you want to play well can get into your head and make you worst. Great video I’ll take some of these on.

    It's so beautiful when you know that double is sailing
    Or you know your ur on a max before the 2nd dart
    I believe in belief, if that makes sense
    Don't over practice, but do set goals that you must hit before practice ends? I find this helps just concentrate
    My 1st big tournament tomorrow
    I do all these, but I'm playing top top players

    I feel the self talk is my best friend but often forget to use it. Trust my own ability would be something I would use. Recently playing in my first tournament is was confident getting to the quarter finals. Then lose the first leg in the quarter and focused so much on that first like I spiralled downhill from there.

    My main mental strategy is to just be ok with losing 😂

      Genuinely that’s half the battle. The common theme I see from chatting to people is “I don’t mind losing if I get outplayed, it’s just when I know I should’ve won.” That’s a different demon it seems lol

    I use different colour slot lock rings and while I'm waiting to throw I put them in order. Then I walk to the oche lift my arm and throw at the end of my exhaled breath. Inhale, exhale, throw, inhale, exhale, throw. I find the breathing helps me relax and keeps my rhythm consistent. I also step on the oche then kick it on my approach never taking my eyes off the target. Pre shot routine has really helped my game

      @dynamytedarts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used to do something very similar! I had my stems the colours of the Irish flag and I found that placing them in order really helped focus in between throws. I may actually go back to doing this soon! Thanks for the comment dude🙌

      @@dynamytedarts helps me for sure. Means I'm not watching my opponents throw and just focusing on myself and what I'm doing. There's nothing I can do about his throw anyway.
      When they're on a double I try and use the force, works surprisingly well in my local league but I think they're using it on me as well. 😁

      @@dynamytedartsHave to admit that with friends, we gotta stop the pre-shot routines since it's sorta bad habit since it's considered a pint before getting to the oche.😂🍻

    My hands shake and head goes white when i get nervous so i take this medication that takes out nervousness for 4-6hrs especially for competitions. Its changes my game completely

    Just because darts players are mostly a little chubby doesn’t mean they aren’t physically fitter than most in certain ways. Stand up, side on for that long and make the same throwing action 500+ times and you’ll be in agony for a week 😂
    As Spinelli read on Ms Finster’s old people magazine: “Is standing up an extreme sport?”
    Yes, yes it is

    I play darts love the game watch so much but I would say f1 is the most mental stressful sport

    • @dynamytedarts
      @dynamytedarts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would agree that they’re both extremely stressful. F1 (which Im a big fan of) definitely has more risk involved lol
