I agree. I bought a 16 ton manual hydraulic pipe bender from Harbor freight for about $175 . 1 INCH ROUND STOCK NO PROBLEM. I wish it had a power hydraulic motor. Lots of hand pumping involved.

you dont need a lathe to build this you can use a grinder as well

Not all diy projects is for amateurs that doesn't even have a tool box.
I love when people use a $10,000 tool, to save $100 on a tool that costs $500 😂
In germany you can't buy cheap benders... that's the why.😉
Do that a hundred times and the $10,000 tool pays for itself.
Also good benders aren't cheap

Da ich die Maschinen alle besitze hab ich Sie natürlich auch eingesetzt. Aber einige Sachen kann man auch durchaus mit weniger Equipment herstellen.
Runde Scheiben gibt es auch zu kaufen und ausgebrannte Teile muss man auch nicht unbedingt auf der Drehmaschine runddrehen das ginge auch mit nem Bandschleifer....
Build it cheap? The damned plate alone has got to cost several hundred dollars!!!

Amazing work sir.... Can you please share the teeth of both gears and the size too...
We don't have the exact measures - used a starter and a flywheel from scrap therefor - the gear ratio is approx. 1/10

Quel diamètre maximum peut on cintrer ?

The max. bend radius is 140 mm and the max. tube diameter is 35 - 40mm depending on material and wall thickness

ok now we just gotta build a lathe and mill. but usually its coming other way - firstly one gets wrenches, then a grinder, then a welder, compressor, other shit, i mean sheet bender, tube bender, finally he gets lathe and mill, turns them into cnc, becomes guru and dies of old age

Can it ll be usable for steel tubes as well ?
you need a bigger bend radius or a mandrel setup for tubes with thinner walls but it's possible
we will modified this bending machine with a mandrel setup soon.

This is a great build, I would like to do it myself. Can you tell me what the measurements are for the bolt pattern on the plate that goes onto the fly wheel?

Boltsize is M8 and M12
@@motorschuppen Thank you. so the M8 holes are for bolting down the die and the M12 holes are for the various stopper points correct?
the M8 holes are for the smalest die i used at bigger dies i used the M12 holes too.
It's not cheap if you have no lathe.

So this man owns a lathe but has to make a tubing Bender out of scrap 🤔. I'm going to throw a 🏷️ yellow flag on this one.

The lathe is a old used one - cheap to get here sometimes.
DIY? Yeah right, DIY if you got an expensive lathe. Make a DIY video for the 95% that dont have a lathe.

How much would you charge to make me one of these.. I don't have a Lathe or the skill to do it myself.. i make Dodgers and Biminis for boats i have to have the frams bent and I make the canvas covers.
