@Stephen Johnson nope they did that soooo perfectly I can see the New York city skyline in my mind these guys were definitely talented and ahead of their time to be so young at the time 👌.
@Stephen Johnson I love the part where the beat just pauses and starts back up like the song was going to end but it didn't lol 😂
It's sequel on Hell on Earth is even better 🙌🏻

@@Anaya0703 😂
Havoc is so underrated as a MC .
As a teen in todays era, I'm proud to say that I naturally grew up listening to 90s hip hop. My dad is a REAL hip hop head so he would play Mobb Deep, Nas, Wu-Tang, Onyx and I would get heavily influenced as a kid. TRUE HIP HOP LIVES FOREVER ❤❤
Edit: thank god I didn't get brainwashed by today's garbage music 😂😂🙏🏾
Check the roots, common, & tribe called quest!
@@andrewfernsler4313 already checked em out they're dope🔥🔥
Kid don't be a reddit stereotype, there's tons of good artists out there in today's era.
Old school is Dope, Mobb Deep still rules!

That's not oldschool
@@bigspbsp3350 it is
@@user-zc4vn7qd7x i meant it's like golden era, maybe oldschool is like 80s ☺️
3:35 That flow was sick!
Yesssssss Rolando !!!
Never heard such a gloomy, airy, dark atmosphere created simply from beats and rhymes like this album does. The talent of these two was insane, they manufactured the sound of mid 90s Hip Hop and captivated projects culture, and they’re influence often goes unnoticed amongst other legends from that era.
The Beat is deep, relaxed and calm.
Yep perfect for that fall season when you bring the timberlands out
Beat is relaxing, lyrics are dangerous
@@pwonder530 😊
How P tells this story is seriously dope AF 🔥🔥 R.I.P. Bandana P. Havoc killed the production from start to finish 🔥🔥
You can visualize the whole situation. Insane lyrics
@@johnl.griffinii9671: REAL TALK 💯
Them brown skin shorties..
Every time.
He didn't just kill this production he got this shit the fuck outta here lyrically. He black out in the end shit got so real.
“Now it’s back to Queens to serve fiends ; making Gs by any means , my eyes on my enemies
Sippin’ Hennessy w/my mind on some crime shit , 1-time searching me but never ever find shit”
Flow is liquid gold
the calming upbeat instrumental with the dark story behind it is what makes this song great
haha, feeling like this about "up north trip" too
It doesn’t sound calming to me it sounds scary and paranoia-like
Favorite Mobb Deep track takes you straight to Queensbridge, storytelling at it’s finest 💯
Steven Lyons hell yea
Word
Unbelievable
@@abdul-hakeemyesufu1930 yesssss love it I always wanted to go to NY since I was a baby my aunt used to live there .
Yes it does that's the reason why I love it ....
This is one of the greatest rap storytelling songs of all time. Legendary song
The instrumental really does take you places…❤️
Yessssss it does it takes me straight to Queensbridge in my mind I don't even have to book a flight that's how deep it is lol that's a trip try it when you smoke the trip is something else lol😂.
RIP Prodigy
Fav beat of all time don’t @ me
it up there no doubt and my favorite track off the whole album
@@juice4080 give up the goods is my favourite that track is unreal 🔥
Easily 🔥🔥🤦🏽♂️
we don't blame you, this is magnificent
REST IN PEACE P
The production on this song invokes such a feeling of paranoia, which is perfect. This album is more than just music, it's a movie you listen to, with all the atmosphere it has. It's what got me to fall in love with hip hop in the first place way back in the mid 90's
BEST SONG ON ALBUM. literal masterpiece
This here ain't gangsta rap, it's gangster rap. Dislikes from the people who shook, cause there ain't no such thing as halfway crooks.
Hussein Suleiman This is underground hip hop
@@Yakovz please elaborate I'm interested you make a good point but I thought Mobb Deep was about that life..
I would like to hear your thoughts

Havoc is also one of the best MC's
2 dope mcs
@@byron4622 yessssss Dunn life forever.
Havoc is so slept on as an MC… I think he puts his rhymes together better than Prodigy… it’s just that Prodigy says the illest shxt.
Greatest hip hop duo ever!
Gather up the manpower
We old niggas be head nodding to the gems that were dropped years ago… RIP Bandana P…
The Mobb were truly underrated when they were up and running… One of the best to do it; repped NYC to death.
RIP to Prodigy....Prodigy is one of the best storytellers we have witnessed in the rap game
Prodigy takes you on a journey
🇦🇱 i love MOBB DEEP
P9
This is my favourite mobb deep song. It's a tight short story delivered in the most awesome way. I'm an old dweeb from Australia, but I love this shit.
This track saved the lives and health of many young men... For real... There are people who would not be here, or healthy if they didn't hear this track and learn from the vivid storytelling. My favorite thing is they weren't so arrogant and stubborn that they underestimated the threat, and also didn't waste time fleeing. "Trife Life got me thinking like and animal..."
20 years later I find my self listing to this on repeat. the second part is just dope!
This song does not get old man.
Greatest album ever made
This album has such jazzy classy beats and such scary street lyrics, I love it.
elevator music gone wrong 😆 and i mean that in a good way
Still listenin in 2020
RiP Prodigy of QBC
2023 and still blasting the mobb, rip prodigy!
To many off us..
This was an everyday thing.
It takes many ups and downs
to be here in 2022…
Trife life got me thinking like an animal…

Be safe my ppls…
The first hypnotic Beat ever!!! Havoc made a classic Beat.
Rest in peace prodigy 💔
This is hip hop not tht rap crap nowadays.
Autotune 😡🖕🏽

Man seriously. Take best "rap" song from 2020 and its nowhere near this...
shut up
@@gogettemgoon1927 u shup up lol, you prolly 15
This song takes me back to a very grimmie period of my life. Im only 25. I didn't listen to this music because it was "old school hip hop" i listened to mobb deep because it was the only thing i could relate to with the way i was living at the time. Rip prodigy one of the realist cats to ever do rap, no matter the fame he always kept it street. big respect from the Northside of Denver co.
Man this beat is crazy! They don’t make it like this anymore.
Its amazing how a beat can be a reflection of ya soul....and combined with good lyrics....yeeeeeeeeaaaah booooi
These new cats can't compete with Mobb Deep
When I first heard this song I’d put it on repeat… listen to it over and over. Infamous May just be the best album all time.. it doesn’t even sound dated …
This record is NYC. They have somehow managed to create the soul of the city in sound form to a t. It's dark, classy, groovy, and beautiful, all the while being raw in it's own unique way. Just like the city itself. 10/10
Cause of Karceno I just noticed this is the first hip hop song to mention Marcy Projects. Before Jay Z came out. Also talking about Halsey and Lewis in Bed Stuy. These Queens nggas were all in Brooklyn in the mid 90s
I love the whole album, but I can pump this song on repeat without it tiring for me.
I found this album like 7 months ago. Every time I play it, the feeling is fresh like I’m there hearing their stories for the first time all over again
Havoc the most underated rapper in rap history
Prodigy’s story is phenomenal but havocs flow is insane
Facts.

No doubt‼
Only built for Cuban linx-Raekwon ft. Ghost face that album is #1 the infamous is up there tho

11 years before I was even born but I bump that shit all day
One of, if not my favorite, verses from P. Takes u on that journey w/ him.
This is how rap supposed to sound!!!
This that music that's perfect for that fall season when you bring the timberlands out RIP Prodigy
prodigy was special he just needed to avoid that krack
The beat. This got damn beat. The 90s has an incredible amount of epic, organic beats: "Take it in Blood", "Pain", "High Life", ... Epic story telling on timeless beats. 🥲
Mobb deep east coast legends
One of the best rap albums of all time. Rip prodigy. legends never die
Still miss P 25yrs old This joint my brother introduced me to this on Vinyl
NYC will always be timeless. We always have a story to tell a new era that unfolds but the 80s and 90s was something else
Music will never be the same.
Would love to see P verse become a film scene. One of my faves.
You are my star ship......
DA MOBB GOT HOT TRACKZ 4 DAYYZZZ!! R.I.P PRODIGY.I DEFEND YOUR LEGEND IN ALL DEBATES😮
Pound for pound the greatest hip-hop group. Don't underestimate Havoc production. A true master.
Chill beats ngl, sick af.
Just goes to show how much of an exceptional , yet underrated Producer, Havoc is.
Chasing cat and avoiding death anthem #1❤😢
It’s a gloomy day in 78727 Austin Texas and I couldn’t pick a better sound track than this album. Simple moments like this make life worth it.
Mobb Deep💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻.
When the beat drops back in💥 One the finest moments committed to tape.
Mob Deep. These guys are incredible. Just listen to what they are saying in the background. Classic freaking Album

1994-2004 Prodigy was animalistic
To put it into perspective (I’m 21 from London “young boy” but I can’t explain how much this art makes me realise how big the world is thanks to the MEN in this Rhym open up a different world)
