    Also, Someone posted that the younger guys are always nodding their heads from embarrassment of the old man constantly talking, actually in Indian culture that head nodding means you got my attention and I listening and not a gesture of disagreement.

      THANK YOU! I was wondering about that but didn't mean any disrespect. I believe that motion is similar to our 'maybe' which is a slower side to side motion or it could mean "kinda/so-so" to us. But we can also make the same side to side motion with a hand to mean the same as the head motion.

      Really? We dont use these movements/gestures here in Slovakia, middle Europe, but it was clear they agree with him, shame people can´t read them properly :/ In that case good comment!

      @@Trissana281 Yes. Here in the US a lot of us will do that motion (usually with a wrinkled forehead and squinted eyes) but not necessarily everyone. We gesture a lot. LOL You know how you left your head to say "What's up" when you're trying to be cool? Well in the South (US) we'll do a single nod down first and back up (with a smile) to greet each without words. We do it as if we're in an old western movie and have on cowboy hats 😉

  • @jacobellinger8027
    @jacobellinger8027 3 ปีที่แล้ว +40

    Friends let me tell you that breaking slabs of hard things with your hands does take some skill but when you place them spaced apart as with the ice it becomes very easy because after you break the first one the weight of the first one helps break the second and so on until by the third or fourth one the weight of the others basically does the work for you, additionally when you place the spacers very far from the center of mass it because very very easy to break such things as most of the weight of the slab is pressed in the middle already. My friends I am not saying that some different ways of breaking slabs with your hands is not hard or does not take skill I am only saying that some ways are more like a magic trick with little skill involved.

    • @K7L3-93
      @K7L3-93 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep this is true, spacing them apart makes them weak in the middle, as all the weight there is suspended.
      the man who broke the boards, had them all placed touching each other, if it was strong wood and there were no weak parts like cracks or knots in the wood, then that would have been much much harder to break than the slabs or ice.

    The sword cutting dead animals is an ad for a knife compony named Cold Steel. They have videos of there products cutting meat to show how it could cut a man. Kind of gross ads actually. Even knife collectors are not sure about how appropriate these ads are. The tariffs effected there business because all the steel they use is from China. That s*** freaks me out too.
      I remember when I was young I went to school with this large family all the boys were f****** like super muscular just naturally in ninth grade they had beards and we're able to go to the liquor store and buy liquor.
      But anyways their sister is so beautiful but one night I had took some LSD and I ended up sleeping with her but it freaked me out because her body was so f******muscular and hard and while we were having sex I freaked out and stopped and got up out of bed and walk out of the room.
      I walked into the other room and started talking to my friend and told him the crazy s*** I was experiencing and he was like dude she's fine as hell you better get back in there so I went back in the room and she was like tripping on me looking at me like what the f*** and at first I lied andI told her I had a cramp in my leg did I had to walk off that's why I walked out of the room.
      But in reality I was freaking out about the fact that she was so naturally muscular like her brother.
      When I was in the dark I kept picturing her being someone else and it really freaked me the fuck out!
      I told her the truth about what really happened later on she got a big laugh out of it!

    They always seem so surprised when they see women in these videos! I would love to see some more reactions to talented women! In most western countries women do the same jobs as men and are just as capable! This must not be the case in their culture so it would be cool for them to see how much women have to offer

      I like that they seem surprised while also being happy to see it. When they saw the young girl practicing her punches against the tree they had nothing but compliments about it.

      @@shrubninja6444 I like it too! There have been a few times they've commented on women working or doing what they view as mens work and its always been positive. I'd love to see some strong talented women blowing their minds lol

    0:26 Reminds me that the last time I knew who the Worlds Strongest Man was, his name was Magnus Samuelsson, a farmer! - Which I'd argue is a labourer! ;) 12:55
    Something I really like with videos like the ones you make, is that I can actually see for myself how different, but still similar, the body language is in different parts of the world! :D
    E.G. The head shaking/nodding at 0:59. Where I live shaking your head side-to-side is to show either disagreement or to answer with a negative (and it could be very disrespectful to shake your head like that when someone else speak), while nodding your head up and down is what you do when agreeing with someone or answering with a positive. But like I said, the body language is still similar enough that I (and, I'd wager, almost everyone else) see that they're showing that they're respectfully listening to each other.
    I'm not entirely sure why the first examples are in this videos: I mean,
    1. sure Hammer throws probably need a fair amount of hand strength but nothing close to being the worlds strongest, there are other things that make them good at what they do.
    2. WTF does a guy cutting meat with a sword do here? His hand strength doesn't have to be near (probably) top 1(or 10) million to successfully do this.
    Does "Strongest Hands" mean something specific?
    When it comes to breaking slabs, I do wonder when your personal strengthen stops making any real difference and it's just the slabs you've already broken that do most if not all of the work of breaking the ones under. - While probably not that big of a factor here I do know there are a few ways to make it seem harder that some *martial arts trainers* use to make themselves look more impressive than they are (but then we're talking about thin sheets of wood and using the direction of the wood grain to make it easier to break).

    For the size laborers are the strongest. American loggers and concrete laboros are very very strong. PLEASE show the villagers the reason they can be so big and strong is because of how much they eat and their diet!

    Jordynne Grace aka Thick Mama Pump is a pro wrestler and professional powerlifter, she's got some of the strongest legs for a woman. She's a damn good wrestler too, got an arsenal of over 50 moves, mostly power moves like suplexes and a few submissions like the bear hug which shows off her upper body strength. She wrestles men too, has a couple good matches against Brian Cage who's a massive fella and she tosses him around like a rag doll.

    Nothing to do with your video of course, but the second clip in the video they're watching is about the blade, it has got nothing to do with him being strong or not lol.
    Some of these are about technique rather than raw power though, like the tree, the coconuts, the planks/ice/concrete blocks. With just raw power and no technique you're much more likely to break yourself than the object you're trying to break.
    The only real shows of strength are the lifting/pulling/pushing, there is still technique involved of course, but where with breaking things it helps you to break them, here it's simply to protect yourself.
    So yeah, Raeen's first afterthought was right. I would love to take these guys into the gym for a couple of months and show them what's possible with just a little bit of effort. Even Babu would be surprised as to what he could still do in his "old" age.

    Suggestion: Show them some of the 'Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell' videos. Lots of topics they have are really interesting. 'The Past we can never return to' comes to mind or a more science video, 'Size of Life' videos. Or maybe just a fun video like the 'Gold Apocalypse' or their latest Dino Asteroid.... there are just countless good topics they tackle that I would love to see the reaction and hear their opinion. Please?

    I heard a story from my professor about her experience staying in India. She didn't understand the gestures, so when she asked her friend if she wanted to go to her house the next day and saw her shake her head, she was very confused and hurt. Then her friend showed up the next day which made her even MORE confused. I learned about this over a decade ago, so I'd forgotten that a lot of people don't know about it. Also, they do use a combination of nodding and head shaking. But nodding seems to be more of a STRONG 'yes', to give emphasis, or to highlight a point. Whereas the particular Indian head shake is a signal of agreement, that you're listening, and just an overall affirmative.
