great videos, thanks for sharing. this is true of many arts, they can and should evolve through the lifecycle, and different lessons are always available if the practitioner is open minded. at the same time, lets be realistic; Liu lived through a very tough time in china, and it was Hard on him, (same with his "little brother" Ti En Fang, and many others). a lot of folks of his generation would have been much more able and capable had they had adequate food and some cultural stability. my Liu Bin style teacher, Zhang Jie, has told me many stories of how it was for him and the people during this time, but he also said a lot of people did not like to talk about it. but I think it's important to understand how much these old master's suffered and what danger they exposed themselves to simply to maintain this art. respect!
I studied these videos and learnt the form for a covid project. The difference show that there are no authentic martial arts forms or styles. Just concept and training methods. Shapes and postures and arrangements change. "The dao that can me named is not the eternal dao" cool share
Thanks for this video. I am going to watch all your videos again! I practice Wu/Hao style tai chi and some external martial arts. I always tell people I practice tai chi because when I say martial arts they think I'm into MMA, which I'm not. Peace. Mike.
