Liz, again the hero of everyman and the channel. :D wonderful! I've been contemplating purchasing similar small horn for my super supporter so I can hear the splits and everything easier among the race :D
I think that your support crew did an awesome effort of encouragement, not only for you, but for ALL the athletes they cheered on. Well Done Liz and Jen!
Thanks mate! Hahah Sharon said not to worry about you as you’re always that pale 😂. Well done indeed, tough day out there and I only did a third of it!
Thanks very much! I'm giving this video lark all I've got, with help from Chris Wilson Visuals, but I know I've still got lots to learn. I'm pushing to try and be known for the "best" amateur triathlon race-day content :D
Well done to you all. Massive effort in each respective bit. How was it at the pointy end of the race Dan when you were giving the winner a tow albeit only for 4 minutes?
Thanks Dan! Well I didn’t get to the front, think I got into 6th on the road, but some 19mins down. It wasn’t a ‘normal’ big race really, there wasn’t really a front group, lots of ones and twos. It was pretty boring tbh 😂 I bet it’s more fun when there’s more groups. We’ll be back I’m sure, I’m determined to have a great ride on this course. I went through a split at 3hr15 at exactly the same pace as the fastest relay team and so should have ridden 4:33/34, another day 😬
Hey mate if you ever have the perfect race without being able to say I can do this or that and get quicker then what's the point in carrying on. Did you see Jason West in the PTO last night? Ran the 18km in 56 minutes then said he was disappointed because he wanted a 55:30 🤣. That would seem like elite athletes speed to me but even then they think there is something more on the table. It's probably a good thing
Great vid! 👍🏻 Rather boring but serious question… why don’t you use the visor on your Giro helmet? Is it just a personal preference thing or is it due to some kind of performance advantage? Or are shades just cooler? 😎
Thanks! Also 100% serious, I’ve cracked it and they’re £80 to replace 😂 I do prefer glasses to be honest, more fresh air on my face and easier to keep clear of mist

Haha that she is! The megaphone is great for splits, but I didn’t need to know I was 19 minutes down 😂😂🤷♂️
@@TriathlonDan yeah, still some pointers to give, "lie gently" :D

Thanks Tim :) they’re awesome 🤝
Great video Dan. Thanks for saying hello at the end of my race. I'm certainly feeling alot better now than when I saw you 😂.
Thanks mate! Hahah Sharon said not to worry about you as you’re always that pale 😂. Well done indeed, tough day out there and I only did a third of it!
Brilliant watch and edit. Again, thanks very much for having me and well done again to yourself and Michelle for smashing your legs!
Awesome to have you on board Paul, thank you so much!
Great content again, thanks for taking us along.... Well done, impressive times on a bloody hard day.
Thanks dude! Appreciate it 👊
I didn't know you was there, I did this on Sunday and it 2as my first triathlon. The support was brilliant.
Nice one Adam, your first triathlon! That’s awesome! Well done indeed 👍
Great vid mate. Captures the vibe on the day perfectly. Competitive but fun and friendly.
Cheers mate, exactly what I was going for. Awesome performance by your team 👏
@@TriathlonDan no number pocket on your skinsuit ??? Thought you were taking it seriously?
Great video got me on it Telford Tri ,thanks to Liz for her encouragement 🚴🚴🚴
Nice one, well done indeed!
Awesome video mate and an amazing effort from the team - well done!
Thanks very much Chris :)
Great performance team. This video seems a step up in quality as well. The smiles on the faces of the cyclists as they went by made it for me 🙂

Excellent team effort! I saw you guys at the end 😎
Thanks Mo! Hope you cried :D
@@TriathlonDan haha indeed :P Amazing video btw!
@@morfakisefthymiou2762 thanks mate, appreciate it 👍
love your vids Dan, please come to Wales and get Liz to bring her megaphone and trolley, my wife needs company
Thanks Paul! Haha that would be good! We’re at Outlaw X that day though, these things always conflict :(
Well done Dan way to push through my friend. We need TBJ on the mega phone at the next relay. 😂
Thanks very much! The team did great :), haha yeah it’s his turn next!
Congrats to the team - nice to meet you in transition
Thanks Mike, you too! What a day :D
If it wasn’t for flaky Dan I could have won a fee entry 😝. Congrats to you all, great splits 👍💪. Great video/footage/filming mate!
Haha sorry mate! That sub 4:30 will have to wait until I’m in the shape of my life 👀. Cheers, put a lot into this one!
You all made something that is so tough look easy ! Fair play !
Thanks Paul!
This was fabulous. What a team loved it. Also can I hire Liz to megaphone at me at my half mara in 8weeks 😂🤣
Thanks very much, really appreciate it :). Haha yes she’s pretty cheap!
@@TriathlonDan 🤣
Nice one Dan - great vid! 🎉
Blimey he's awake! Thanks mate, well done to you too, nailed it!
Awesome mate. Guess you'll have to wait till next year to go sub 4:30 😉
Cheers buddy! Haha maybe, maybe…
Well done team ... Great effort in challenging conditions.. 👏
Thanks Glen! Appreciate it 👍
Bit of a delayed reply but great to meet you Dan! 😊

Nice job time!
Thanks very much :)
Last hour..... snap
Savage wasn't it!
@TriathlonDan it was a bit longer than the hour for me. 😂
Are you allowed to pin on the number for a bike leg of an event like this or must it be on the race belt?
There’s no rule against pinning the number but it’s easier to switch it from your back (bike leg) to front (run leg) on a belt.
Correct ^ we did have two numbers, but I’m trying not to ruin my skinsuit as it wasn’t cheap 🤣
Danny boy, regular banner braker!
Haha glad they gave us the banner 😂

£80???? I’d best take more care of mine then… and they wonder why triathlon is a sport for rich dudes! 🤣🤣
See you at the X ?
100%! My final race of the season 😬👍
