So far, of the two methods you've shown the Mech and the Nautilan, Transmission towers are starting to look really good. LOL. Although the nautilan blows the Mech (was gonna say out of the water LOL) anyway it blows the mech away. Thank You for doing all of this research.
@@Whitemannatee i think it's the same map as the one that leads to abondoned buildings? I'm not exactly sure which it is without looking at them, but then you would want the map that takes you to transmissions towers. :) But Xaine is gonna Xainify all this cool shiz and tell us what the best way is ;) :D
🌊The Abyss update did add some really cool features to NMS. The Nautilon, the Deep Oceans, the new Fauna & Flora, the Sunken Ruins & Facilities, Submerged Freighters & Starships, plus the ability to Search & Scan for them (going on underwater treasure hunts is kinda relaxing), and last but not least, all of the rad Building assets that came along with it.
I found it to be way easier buying A and S class ships in the spacestation and scrapping them over and over to get storage and upgrade modules. When you scrap the ship you get about 75% of its value back. I think I spent about 100mil to fully upgrade my storage and performance on my S-class exotic with barely any slots to start with
From what i've seen that's definitely true. I found a video that had 2 S class Exotics in one space station. Sometimes they landed at the same time so it was hard to buy both of them. I scrapped them for hours until I got burned out on scrapping ships. I like repairing ships. I got into repairing them and actually started my first mines just to repair crashed ships. I could hop in and completely repair them then take them and scrap them. I didn't care if I made or lost units I just liked doing it. A few of my ships were crashed ships. I found one while I was out on a walk looking around. It was a C class with low storage but, now it's an S class with 48:21. My last crashed hauler didn't work out though.
On living ship there are two methods to get the normal ship instead of the living one. First is reload, but it is unreliable. Second is keep marking and refusing for 10 ships or more (I need to check how many times, but for the moment I am upgrading my new player, and then I will go to ship hunting for a beautiful cup-of-tea S-exotic), and on the next spawn will be a normal ship from here on. Don’t rush to planet while in atmosphere as this will give you an error and force you to reload. From the moment that you get a normal ship instead of a living one, do not reload anymore, as this resets the normal ship back to living models. The second method for scrapper-players which means to go to an old marker left behind by you and it will be a normal ship there (but you need 3-4 rejects before that). If you want a S exotic, that will take 200 or more rejects, but if you find any, mark that spot, take the exotic, and reload to take the living ship, as that will have max stats!). Obviously use the glitch nexus fly-by drop-item reload to get the living one as well! No, not every planet! There are usually only 2 very rare 3 planets per solar system with the spawn ability for crashed ships. And it depends on your living ship that you bring to the crashed spot the colour and the aspect-limbs of the new spawn. And also depends of the colour-type of the planet where you pick up the crashed ship. There are a few more aspects to mention, but I am sure that you will find them out by yourself. You will be surprised tomorrow, I can guarantee for it!
If you want to test a planet that has really low amount of islands, you can move around in Nomad. It glides on the water surface and its 10u faster than Nautilion when fully upgraded.
So I've noticed that every crashed ship has a little beacon with it ( the silver ball you can interact with) I never see you clear the beacon, I've done the search and think if you don't want a ship you interact with the beacon get a small reward then I fly away. I search again and it never sends me back to the ship I didn't want.. I'm not sure if this clears the spawn of that ship or not, but would be curious to see if that helps.
Heey Xanee, you really don't need to place a summoning station. infact that piece of tech is not needed. once you have an exocraft on a planet. You can simply call it from the quick meenu anywhere on the same planet. thanks for your hard work my dude.
i think there them minimum is like 100u.. and its just that crash ship sites have a minimal spawn distance from eachother. (or atleast an average distance)
Nice vid man, I almost forgot to comment! Ummmm... Lush planets are a gateway Celestial object... That's my disclaimer since I got you into grass, lol... OK peace, back to the salt mines!
If you are going to leave ships behind you should leave a save beacon so you can come back for them if you ever want some credits or a chance at storage upgrades
You don't have to fly all your claimed ships to a station to scrap them. E.g. claim 2, fly one, scrap it and the other one appears so you can scrap that too.
I wonder if you were to scrap the ships you find, would that cause the spawns to continue, or does it sound like wishful thinking, maybe it's worth a shot, maybe not
The way I see it, unless you're a billionaire, so newer players or people who've played for a while but still don't have that much, until every one of your ships has max inventory slots all ships are worth scrapping. Unless there's a mechanic I don't know about where the higher rarity the ship, the higher chance of getting an inventory increase item.
Aye, the type and class decide the potential scrapping rewards, exotic s class are best for upgrades if going for nanites and augmentation, also super cheap
It would be nice if LS had a built-in crash ship scanner that would work on land or water and that LS could travel underwater. Better yet LS have a planet scanner that could locate all crash ships in and out of the water, in one scan. More folks would do the QS mission just get egg and LS ships to get this feature, But this only works if HG allows us to have 12 ships.
As far as I'm concerned it doesn't work. Spent 5 hours looking on two planets and only found one ship with my very first scan that was right beside my base.

Can't you find crashed ships from the star maps vendor in the spacestation?

definitely my favorite of the smaller named updates, indeed
You can add a custom map marker at the first ship. That way you won't backtrack to it.

I have found them in shallow water as well, if you look carefully you can see them while flying over slowly. You will see the lights.

OK peace, back to the salt mines!
If you claim and scrap the ship at a site will that clear the waypoint so it doesn't re-appear in scans?
RyanMuad'Dib no you can then get directed back to the empty crash site
what about using distress maps from the cartographer?
If you are going to leave ships behind you should leave a save beacon so you can come back for them if you ever want some credits or a chance at storage upgrades
@@DORMRR So? How about sheparding other players to easy sites to pick up ships that don't have billions saved up.
Sadly only the person who placed it can see a beacon unless it's within the buildable area of an uploaded player base
@@XainesWorld OH! Didn't know that. I usually leave a beacon at drop pods that I don't need in case others stumble on it. Oh well, live and learn.
You don't have to fly all your claimed ships to a station to scrap them. E.g. claim 2, fly one, scrap it and the other one appears so you can scrap that too.
@@XainesWorld I haven't unlocked a comm station yet but, if you put one down wouldn't everyone on that platform be able to see it?
Can you test nautilon + mech in same planet. Do their have same scanning cap?
Think you have to disable the distress beacons near the sunk ships so you don't find them again.
Has anyone tested this?
@@arneohman Sorry to get your hopes up, i tried this and it didn't work.
@@Cowardly666 thank you for the info!

probably
From the looks of it all A and S class crashed fighters, haulers and scouts have been taken out with the living ship update.
It would be easier if the Nautilon Exocraft speed was 3X
Upgrade it
Any chance of the living ship getting an economy scanner?
