- At time of posting: 84 days until Halloween! If you love Breyer Halloween like I do and were left craving it after zero servings during BreyerFest, this is for you. I’ve speculated on all the Stablemates we might see in the Series 6 blind bags for 2024; molds we might see for the next batty Classic, and have curated my own gallery of Halloween Horse mockups on 1:9 molds Breyer has yet to use.

Disneyland at the haunted mansion in line there is a skeleton/ghost horse pulling a carriage within the line. I loved this little area in line as a child that I’d sit and listen to the horse and imagine it’s skeletal body! It brings back amazing memories. And I wanna say! I’d purchase this horse in a heart beat for that! ❤
The count is also another big favorite! They need to hire you for these incredible concepts alone!

I love that the Old Timer one brought back fun memories. I need to get back to Disneyland; each time I go the Haunted Mansion is closed for one reason or another. That nostalgic tie-in for you makes me really glad! That ride is the BEST!

I was so surprised when they gave us so few previews this year. Your ideas are beautiful! I especially love Belladonna and Vesper - Breyer really needs to do a bat-winged horse!
Agreed! I know they've done a dragon-winged horse, whose wings are quite similar to a bat's, and I've seen them put feathered wings on a pig, so we KNOW they're clever enough to adapt a shape for a mold. I'd love a bat-winged horse!
And yes: Halloween. I know Beowulf was at BF in person, but wasn't discussed and nothing else was shared as far as new releases. I feel like that was similar in 2022 also?? We need more Halloween, Breyer!

Funny you mention about secretly hoping for Fireheart to be the werewolf model because just the other day I was thinking about what if I customized Blue Zeus to be a werewolf Halloween model, especially if the one I got glowed in the dark (sadly he does not.)
I love all the mold choices you picked for possible Halloween SMs. I think they are all very fitting!
I did not consider Breyer re-release past Halloween models as SM's on their shrunken molds! :O That is such a fun idea!

Ooh; a glowy Zeus would be a really neat Halloween horse. I didn't get any glowy models from BreyerFest. I'm sorry your Zeus doesn't glow; that would've been fun.
Gosh an official mini version of each of the first 1:9s would be AMAZING. Like.. a boxed set number 3, or just Spooky Surprise series 7 (3 bags) to be an anniversary set, but with a tiny Silver, Cigar, and Marabella. Probably won't ever happen as I'm sure making new Stablemate molds costs a lot, and I don't know how much the hobby cares for Cigar or Marabella anymore, but I'd be all over it. Lol
Thanks so much about my ideas! I'd love to see Banshee and Peppercorn in real life; or at least something similar. I think the molds are great for those themes.

Honestly I've been looking forward to your Halloween speculation video all year! I love your spec videos because it feels like the Davinci Code but it's made for people in the customs/collecting hobby.

You should work for Breyer. These ideas are amazing. I’ve done some Halloween custom SM’s: a red Devil in the G2 Appaloosa with huge black horns, pointed tail & cloven hooves plus a ghost & a mummy.

Are cloven hooves hard? Your devil SM sounds amazing! All those little pieces feel intimidating at such a tiny scale! A ghost and mummy SM sound wonderful too, and are definitely missing from the Breyer line!
I’ve only done them on that one Sm & it wasn’t hard. Just took an exacto knife with a craft blade & removed a tiny wedge at the front of each hoof.
The ghost & the mummy were done as if they were ponies dressed up for Halloween by a child. The ghost looked like a child threw a white blanket over her pony & cut holes for the eyes & ears. Almost exactly like the Shetland pony set. For the mummy I wrapped ribbon around the SM. I also included little accessories like pumpkins, hay bales & a trick-or-treat candy bucket.
I loved all of the concept designs! Peppercorn was my absolute favorite!

I really appreciate that! Thanks so much! I'm not sure as far as price on the customs; I suppose I'd have to keep track of my time and materials and find a sort of comfy zone to ask on price. I do think--as much as I don't care for Facebook--that if I can get any of these horses done soon I'll post them in the Halloween Model Horse Forum group. Perhaps I'll take offers?

Almost forgot. This years ornament isn’t the first time Breyer has miniaturized Silver. There was a Crystal as well. A bit bigger than a SM but not as big as a paddock pal. I’d love Silver as a SM.
That's TRUE! So they've got the "files," essentially, to have a little Silver. A Stablemate would be wonderful!
Salem is on the stable mate Twh in this years blind bag already.
Yep, Salem came out in the 2024 blind bags. They put him on the Icelandic, which is a good match I didn't even consider. I'd posted this on August 8th, and then Breyer's Halloween store opened September 5th to reveal the set. It'll be fun to make guesses for 2025!
