    This is what real life is like installing accessories where the other channels just show them on like it’s nothing. Laughed because I’ve been there!

    Unsupervised! Oh that’s good I’m laughing so hard. 😂 I feel for ya! It is so hard to resist! Don’t feel too bad I twisted the bolt off reinstalling my gear shift, tried to drill it to use a bolt removal bit, didn’t center it when I drilled it and now removal bit is useless and can’t get broken bolt out! Working around those parts of that bike is a fiddle! I envy those guys who have a lift for the motorcycles. You will need a good long pick me up bike ride after you’re done!

    Hard watching when one has limited time and you are going by guess and by golly all the way through a long video....but I assume things will improve with experience...

    Great video and I feel your pain. So many bike parts are difficult to get at and change. But you are doing great! Thanks so much for putting in the links to purchase - lots of folks don't do that and I understand the pain of putting it all together professionally. My CT purchase will be a 2024 as the green pearl ones are not available in Canada yet - we only have the last of the older tech red ones with lower compression. So I'm learning lots as you gain experience and share it with so much humor. Regroup and start again!

    • @baldrider
      @baldrider  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't think it would look right in green as they are always red in my mind. I do like it, though. I'd love to have a khaki or grey one, too.

    Always seems like stuff is more simple than it really is. Yeah, nothing is simple. I tried adjusting my valves on a Honda Monkey. I'll never get that day of my life back. Really digging your episodes. The Napoleon Dynamite music in the background is soothing 😌

      @baldrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll be recording that when the day comes, as well. I've been searching for music to fit my style and I think I found it.

      @@baldrider did the hammer thing with a 🔧against the inner side and smacked it sideways and out to remove the oem bar weights as well. Whoever designed the new bar end weights/clips had to be on the shabby toolkit design team as well. Your are so on point about the oem waffle grips being horrible! I hate doing grips and Barkbuster installs period, but this bike was in serious need. My hand break is SUPER close to the Barkbuster as well. Zero room for error really. I too don't like that as it makes me wonder what it will do to it if the bike goes down hard on that side?Looks cool though. Isn't funny how mentally and physically draining it is installing bike accessories? I think it's part of the reason I just leave them on a bike if I get rid of it.
      That seat too... brutal. I actually took mine to an upholstery shop and had them add cushion. Was a lot more involved than I initially thought... and a lot more costly. But my butt likes the outcome. Way more comfy. The factory design does help keep you planted better though. I kind of slide forward on mine now that it's poofy. Corbin makes a seat for it now. Pricy but most likely nice.
      though.

    I remember taking the stock crash bars off of mine to send them out for powder coat with the other silver bits, it was a very involved and frustrating disassembly. I definitely had a few moments when I asked myself, "what the hell were the engineers at Honda thinking" and I still don't have a good answer for them lol. I wish I had known in advance that the '23 MY was going to be offered in the green, I would have passed on my '22 for a green one. That said, it took nine months for my '22 to come in and I was super excited to finally get my hands on it when it finally showed up so I am not sure I could have waited another 6-7 months for a green one.
    I love all of the awesome accessories and mods out there for these I just wish they were more readily available here in the states and for better prices. Having to order from Japan and Thailand and paying a premium for what should be affordable accessories is a little counter to the idea of running a $4K scoot. I am trying to walk the fine line between useful mods for how I intend to use it and accessories and mods that simply look cool lol. Either way it's a fun ped to mess with and I am sure it'll change and grow in time, after all, not everything has to be a simple tool, there's room for a silly toy in everyone's collection and these Trails easily qualify.

    • @baldrider
      @baldrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everything I have installed so far has a purpose. I've also tried to walk that line. I mentioned I didn't want to overdo accessories in a previous video mostly because of the weight factor. I plan on making another video when I add the accessories I didn't get to in this one.

    • @texlee1640
      @texlee1640 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@baldrider Yea the added weight is certainly a factor, it's already a bit under powered in stock form.

    Thanks for some of the pain 😂 I now can avoid. Please help what bar risers are you using not sure why I can’t see or find them on the video. Finally for now any ideas where I can get an English CT125 Manual. I am in UK with a 23 model. Regards JD

    • @baldrider
      @baldrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't do a video installing the risers. They are 2" rox risers. Some people claim they loosen up but I have them on two bikes and no issues. If you want a full shop manual, you should be able to order one. If you just want the baby manual it comes with, it is on the US Honda site

      @@baldrider Great helpful reply . Love the tone of the videos. Rode mine today and it did 50 mph with ease just happy to truck about with that. Big biker cafe in Llandovery Wales can’t wait to see reaction of all the real bikers. Rox Risers getting ordered.. Might need some beefy shocks along with a diet. JD

    Great video, man! What cargo net are you using? It looks like it fits pretty well. Is it secure or is there a lot of slack?

    • @baldrider
      @baldrider  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it is this one I bought a few years ago a.co/d/1EpW1D2.
      It is loose if you just lay it on top. I use the hooks on the side of the 125's rack to wrap the net around and tighten it up. When I mount the collapsible crate, I'm going to secure it with the same net to keep it from rattling around when closed.
