Great to see a young chef promoting all the benefits of game. Hope you’ve got a wildfowling video coming out, would love to see how you cook wild goose or duck.
That looks like a lot of fun. It also makes me realize how fortunate I am to be able to hunt large tracts of public land and also right out my back door. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing.
Rock n roll man!! Definitely one of the most inspiring chefs out there tbh! 🤌🏼🔥 Love your videos and everything you do! I’m a chef my self for 15 years, and it’s just pure inspiration! 🙏🏻
This is awesome!! We hunt and pheasant here in America, it’s very similar. The food looks amazing and the English countryside is breathtaking. Keep up the great content
Another fantastic vid. Every one a winner, I enjoyed this so much thank you. I have never eaten Grouse but it looks great, I’ll give it a try, possibly. Thank you.
Epic video Tommy! One thing I enjoyed was seeing the dinner service. We rarely get to see you in restaurant chef mode so this was a dope side to see 🤘🔥
You can shoot close to public roads so long as doing so does not cause anyone using the road to be injured, interrupted or endangered. Arguably, it looks as though our man Tom did interrupt someone using the road.. tut tut, but thankfully the driver seemed pretty reasonable of the situation. I imagine locals are very aware of the estate and the need to exercise caution when driving through its moors.
I think Thomas was shooting in the name of conservation not the name of science ha ha! Great video, looking forward to catching up with the rest of the series.
Hunting in England is so civilized…Land Rovers and Audis, not endless hiking, tweed instead of camo, and a lovely meat pie for a field snack in place of canned Vienna sausages.
A very, VERY tiny proportion of England. Grouse Moores are some of the most prized trophy assets for a small number of British Aristocracy who can afford to own them. The Lie Of The Land by Guy Shrubsole would explain it much better than I could.
It’s not even hunting at this point. Guy drives you right to somewhere he knows will produce birds, or the birds are driven to you. It’s shooting but it’s not hunting
I'm watching from the USA man this video was awesome. Haven't watched your channel since the butter videos lol. Glad you branched out and show more of this !
I couldn't say 100% but appears to make little to no effort to pick up empty cartridges, just kept ejecting onto the ground. Mother nature looked after your belly. Look after her and tidy up. It's bad for the sports image too. Having said that very much enjoy the videos
Fantastic! Where's the side by side Thomas? 😂 The investment and work undertaken by these estates is epic, massive benefit to habitat and conservation. Privately funded too. Great series.
@ThomasStraker Sorry to hear that, hopefully it can be fixed. Looking forward to more content, walk up grouse is incredible. The grouse looks delicious.
Do some research before commenting, peat is not burned for heather management, it’s a cold burn. If the heather moorland wasn’t managed for grouse there would be no heather moorland, which is rarer than tropical rain forests.
Grouse moors are regularly set alight to, predators killed to protect birds, and up to 250k grouse bred and released each year for shooting. Wasn't enough grouse this year so they released non native birds.... I love your videos, I just can't get behind the inglorious twelfth
In my day people were sent home for such atrocious behaviour. You loaded the gun as soon as you got out of the car, fired over the road and swung through the line (at head height ), your gun was all over the place. A miracle nobody got shot and and yet you couldn't hit a barn door. Gentlemen do not wear headgear indoors.
This is 100% the best series around on TH-cam at the moment
A bit of a genius in the kitchen and good humour with it .a rare commodity.
Definitely not.
@@jadedwitness9840 wrong again ...
@@jadedwitness9840 still pissed off at how shit and useless this comment is
Please feel free to continue producing the hunting videos - they wonderfully showcase the possibilities of British cuisine!
Yep! Didn't know such a thing existed! :)
Cheers mate!

💯 the easiest catch and cook series to watch. Love it.
Absolutely love these hunting vlogs. Perfectly captured. You're an infectious character Thom n i cant wait to visit your restaurant
British cuisine is unique and do underrated. The way you are preparing and serving grouse looks five stars to me…..and I cook grouse for fifty years….
Unreal series, highlight of the week, no doubt!
This series is superb content. Bravo Tom and the boys.
Best series on TH-cam without question
That looks like a lot of fun. It also makes me realize how fortunate I am to be able to hunt large tracts of public land and also right out my back door. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing.
what truly special experience thomas! shame you can't hit a barn door..!
Wasn’t ideal. Must try harder
that might have been my fault tbf

Grouse too. They’re a bit different to hunt than pheasant. Tend to be a bit more flighty, but very fun.
Another fantastic vid. Every one a winner, I enjoyed this so much thank you. I have never eaten Grouse but it looks great, I’ll give it a try, possibly. Thank you.
Great cook, shit shot 😂😂 keep up the good work, making England looking glorious as it should xx
This is all around bad ass. From the hunt to the kitchen.
4:24 incredible drone footage! Amazing what’s possible these days
Epic video Tommy! One thing I enjoyed was seeing the dinner service. We rarely get to see you in restaurant chef mode so this was a dope side to see 🤘🔥
I'm South Ayrshire based but my sister in law lives in London. We will be visiting her soon which means we will defo be visiting your restaurant ❤
Congratulations Thomas. Your dog did great job.
thanks for sharing! cheers from uruguay
love this series!
PLEASE MORE OF GAME EATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gamekeeper + Birds must lo❤e you
Great stuff as always. Just a question: can you shoot close to cars/roads or is it a random righe car passing at 8:05?

@ I kind of figured…it looked very “elite”.
It’s not even hunting at this point. Guy drives you right to somewhere he knows will produce birds, or the birds are driven to you. It’s shooting but it’s not hunting
If you look at the other installments in the series there is a lot more camo and hiking. Still meat pie not sausages
Exactly. The demise of the UK empire now has the elite who are the only ones that can afford to shoot an "anything" for food. Embarrassing
did you just forget to pick up your empties?
Always try to remember!
Did notice you did not pick up your spent cases, just left your litter like a townie?
Luckily I had Alfie hoovering them up behind me
good film empty cartridges have no place in nature
Don't worry, either Alfie gets them behind me or I would always go back
Is Straker the coolest man in cooking? He’s got my vote. Did he shoot any dogs though?
Pick your empty’s up, apart from that, nice one

Unfortunately the stock is cracked so it’s out of action rest of the season.
@ThomasStraker Sorry to hear that, hopefully it can be fixed. Looking forward to more content, walk up grouse is incredible. The grouse looks delicious.
Looks fantastic. Unnatural way to manage the land mind. Not any f¥~>^~%g good burning highland peat each year or killing raptors.

Another great video I remember my first grouse
i know what i like and i like some grouse
Ive never eaten grouse, pheasant yes( beware of any pellets) which I found quite dry.. never had venison either
Geezer can’t hit a barn door with a banjo
This is so good! keep em coming
Pick your damn cartridges up
I had alfie picking up behind me when I was too dialled into the grouse
@ First rate. Very much enjoying this series despite my curt comment.
Thanks for sharing. Why aren't you using the dogs to flush the birds?
Get in!!!
Grouse moors are regularly set alight to, predators killed to protect birds, and up to 250k grouse bred and released each year for shooting.

Very poor, couldn’t give a rats about cartridges and dangerous shot over the wall just before the came along !!!
Don't worry, either Alfie gets them behind me or I would always go back
End dish is banging. Delicious! 👌🏼👌🏼
Would probably spend more time picking up your emptys, which I didn't see you do once?
Why bother lol? It’s private property, and clearly the owners aren’t worried
@@dihexa7256I really hope this comment is a joke
@ why would it be a joke?
Don't worry! either Alfie gets them behind me or I would always go back
going in mate wow
Guy wears a tie
Hahahahaha
That’s funny
its etiquette, respect and culture
i love british hunting culture. banger video brotha
😎👍
Why not just get a Tesco delivery?
Tom just loves sniping stuff 😂
dont forget to pick up your empties.
Don't worry, either Alfie gets them behind me or I would always go back
That is spectacular
Why did you cook legs with feathers on?
Quite fancy clothes, guys

Did you actually hit any? 🤣
Pointing dogs ?
Daddy
lolllllll that's my line
It's obvious you need to be quite wealthy to hunt off the land in the UK. What a shame.
les douilles vides se ramassent, meme pour un Lord fut il Anglais
Why do they all have to dress like that
Violence?
